National Youth Day Celebrated - VKV Balijan

VKV Balijan celebrated Swami Vivekananda Birth Anniversary as National Youth Day in the school premises today.  Sri. T.M. Sathian, Principal VKV Balijan formally welcomed the Honourable Chief Guest Sri. Rinchin Dorjee, Ex- Chairman APSC and VKV APT Trustee and Sri. Rinchin Norbu, Kameng Cluster in-Charge VKVAP Trust and august audience.

While addressing the parents,  Sri. Rinchin Dorjee called up on to maintain a strong bond between teachers and students to create a congenial atmosphere in the school and at home.  Sri. Rinchin Norbu, in his key note address, highlighted the contribution rendered by Vivekananda Kendra to achieve the twin goals, Man Making and Nation Building. “ An urge to know about Swami Vivekananda more and more will definitely  take you  to be pure, perfect and a true patriot as well” , he said.

As a part of the programme, a cultural event was organised on the theme “Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat” on the auspicious occasion of the completion of 50 years of Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari. Programmes like Patriotic Song, Dance on cultural unity and Dance on Bharat Mata etc. are the highlight of the Cultural programmes.

As a part of the aprogramme, Sri. Rinchin Dorjee inaugurated Drawing Exhibition on the topic “ Samartha Bharat Parva” and Craft sale stall.

Altogether, 450 people could witness the programme.

Indigenous Faith Day Celebrated - VKV Balijan

VKV Balijan celebrated Indigenous Faith Day in a befitting manner in the School premises on 01st December 2019.  As a part of the programme, the school has organized a morning procession wherein almost all the students and staffs were available in traditional attire.  Altogether 328 students and 17 teaching staffs became the part of the celebration.  Morning procession was flagged off by Sri. Tana Sunny Tara, Head Master Govt. Middle School, Tengabori at 6.30am. 

As a part of the celebration, the students of VKV Balijan performed a beautiful cultural programmes wherein Sri. Nabam Roja, President State Youth Wing, Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh was graced the occasion as Chief Guest.  Sri. T.M. Sathian Principal VKV Balijan formally welcomed the honourable Chief Guest and other dignitaries.  The Chief Guest also delivered a brief speech on the significance of celebrating Indigenous Faith Day.  In his speech, he gave much importance to the need for arranging such a programme to preserve our rich Arunachal tradition.  However, everybody enjoyed the cultural programmes and also it helped to reveal many aspects of the Arunachal tradition before the audience.

Sri. Nabam Roja also released the Annual Calendar of Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh on this auspicious occasion.

Library Week Conducted - VKV Balijan

Library Week was observed in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Balijan from 19th Nov’19 to 26th Nov’19. In this one week program, so many activities were conducted in our school. The activities were like- Book Review and Story Telling in the Assembly by some selected students, story writing competition for class III, IV and V, Library Scavenger Hunt completion for class VI and VII, Library poster competition for class VIII, students pick book display for class IX and X. So in this report, I am going to give a detail about all the activities that were conducted during this one week. 

19-11-2019: Book Review was told by Darling Loya of class IX In the assembly and magazines were displayed in the front open space of our school.

20-11-2019: On that day, a moral story was told by Liza Sikom of class V and G.K questions were asked by Mekam Yangfo of class IX. Those questions were related to only Library and Books of our Library. Questions were given by the Librarian.

21-11-2019: Book Review was told by Tadar Amji of class IX and G.K questions were asked by Rigio Bani of class VIII. On that day, there was a poster design competition for promoting the school Library was conducted. This was only for the class VIII.

22-11-2019: A Moral Story was told by Teli Makin of class V and G.K questions were asked by Ananya Rigia of class VIII. On that day, there was a Book Display in the Library which was students’ favorite book. Along with the book, there was also a small note about why they liked it and why others should read it. This was conducted for class IX and X.

23-11-2019: On that day, Book Review was told by Pachi Yatang of class IX and G.K questions were asked by Phil Sara of class VIII. There was a book display in the library which was staff’s favorite book. They also kept a note about that chosen particular book. 

25-11-2019: That day, G.K was asked by Tok Onam of class X. There was a moral story writing competition for class III, IV and V. There was also another activity that called ‘Library Scavenger Hunt’ for class VI and VII. In this activity, some interesting questions related to Library or any book of Library was asked to the students and the students who have given the correct answers, they were the winners.

26-11-2019: It was the last day of the Library week. That day, our Principal Sri T.M Sathian sir announced all the names of the winners of different activities that were conducted in the Library week and also the name of the students who have donated books to library.Like this, the program was finished successfully and all the students as well as the staff members fully co-operated to conduct and organize all the activities. So, I hope they will utilize the Library like this in future also.


Sadhana Diwas Celebrated - VKV Balijan
VKV Balijan observed Sadhana Divas, Sri Eknathji Jayanti by conducting various activities in the school. As a part of the programme, Sri Amitava Mondal spoke on the significance of the day in the morning assembly followed by a group song sung by our students, "Vandana abhinandana dev....". "He was a karmayogi, dedicated to selfless seva and was embodiment of many to get inspired," he said. In the last part of the assembly, all the students and staff paid rich tribute to the great soul by offering flowers to the portrait of Eknathji.
In this connection the school has organised a patriotic song competition housewise in junior category(Cl- VI-VIII) in prayer hall followed by Kendra varga Classwise, guided by class teacher. The Topic for the discussion of kendra varga in all the classes was " Sri Eknathji Ranade and Vivekananda Rock Memorial."

School Dental Health Programme Organized - VKV Balijan

Arunachal State Dental Council conducted "School Dental Health Programme" in VKV Balijan on 15th November 2019. Altogether, 13 dental surgeons participated in the programme which was inaugurated by Balijan EAC, Sri M. Tamo in presence of Health Service Deputy Director(Dental) Dr. Joram Nisha. I am glad to inform you that altogether 317 students were benefited by oral screening and treatment from experts. As a part of the programme, organisers distributed toothbrushes and toothpaste at free of cost and gave away prizes for smile contest winners.
