PT Teachers Orientation Camp Observed - VKV Balijan 

The camp was held from 23rd to 25th June 2019 at VKV Oyan. I attended the camp as participant from VKV Balijan. In the camp we were asked to achieve some targets. Few points has been given to us to apply in our respective schools. I want to mention the points which have been achieved and which are undergoing.

  1. The copies of PHE guidelines and all the necessary details for physical efficiency test have been done.
  2. 1 hour orientation programme for teachers will be conducted after mid-vacation.
  3. Weekly, Monthly &Yearly plan has been prepared.
  4. Conducting physical efficiency test and uploading the data in “Khelo india” site is under process.
  5. Training for all the students in Military Drill and Kendra Drill are done.
  6. All the practices like 3times Bharat Mata Ki Jay, 3 times Vande Mataram and Visharjan with Jai Hind, command in clear and loud voice, singing of National Anthem with School Band in school Assembly are going on.
  7. Training the students in Mass PT/ Dumbbells/ Lezim/ Mass Suryanamaskar is going on.
  8. Physical efficiency test is under process.
  9. Interacting with students in English is followed to improve spoken English.
  10. Planning SEWA project in consultation with the class teachers of IX & X is already done.

  Universal Brotherhood Day Celebrated - VKV Balijan

VKV Balijan celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day, today in the school premises. Sri. Tana Hali Tara, Hon’ble MLA , 14 Doimukh Constituency has graced the occasion  as Chief Guest.  While addressing the public and students, the Hon’ble MLA called on the students to take inspiration from the life of Swami Vivekananda. “He is the real icon of Indian Youth.  His teaching has still relevance in this present critical juncture”, he said.  Sri. Tasso Gambo, ADC Balijan Division also attended the programme as Guest of Honour.  At the outset,  Sri. T.M. Sathian, Principal VKV Balijan formally welcomed all the guests, parent and other invitees.

The school submitted a memorandum to the MLA for infrastructural development of the school like digging a new bore well and constructing an over tank it and building a  washroom for boys and girls separately. Sri. Tana Hali Tara MLA assured to provide all possible assistance and directed to school to start the works on itself without involving other outside agencies. 

I would like to inform you that the Block Development Officer Balijan, Sri. Rome Milo, an Ex-VKVan donated 55 numbers of books consist of the life story of great personalities of India, various reference books related with competitive examinations, novels , science and Sports and Games items etc. through the Hon’ble MLA on behalf of Balijan Block.

In addition, the Hon’ble MLA announced a cash prize of Rs. 75,000/- & Rs.25,000/-  for those students who are adjudged as the first and second in Essay Writing Competition in School Level every year during his MLA tenureship.

In the last pages of the celebration, the students of VKV Balijan showcased wonderful cultural programmes before a well attendant audience.

National Sports Day Observed - VKV Balijan

VKV Balijan observed National Sports Day,  today i.e. 29th August 2019 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Great Hockey player of India, Dhyan Chand, the most prominent Indian field hockey player. Km. Pachi Yatang of Class IX highlighted the significance of the day in the morning assembly. “Dhyan Chand was also known as the hockey wizard”, she said.

As a part of the programme, the school has organised various games involving all the students, teaching and non-teaching staffs during the games period in the evening session, like volleyball match between students vs staffs, class IX vs X students and some other interesting games for junior students.

Band Training Conducted - VKV Balijan


Sri.Govind Bishwakarma, Band Instructor reached in the School on 25th August 2019 at 11:30am to train our band Students.

Highlights of the learning were:

  1. Corrected the tune of National Anthem.
  2. Taught army march Bugle, Virad tune etc.
  3. Taught Nirbhay, Lakadi ki kathi, Slow march, Kamchi etc.
  4. Repaired some trumpets for further use.
  5. Conducted 3 sessions daily:
  6. Morning session from 6am – 7:15am
  7. Afternoon session from 1pm – 2pm
  • Evening session from 4pm – 5:15pm
  1. Total numbers of participants were 51


On 29th August 2019, enthusiastic band students exhibited a marvellous band display in front of the students and staffs in the playground. Obviously, the performance of the students won the hearts of everyone present there.

Sri.GovindBishwakarma left from the campus at 2.30 pm and proceeded to VKV PTC Banderdewa.

Sree Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations - VKV Balijan

VKV Balijan celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with great zeal and reverence on 24th August 2019.  Sri. Jyoti Prakash Mishra, Sanskrit Teacher, while addressing the audience pointed out that the Janmashtami is the festival of victory of Good over Evil.  He said that Bhagawan Krishna is considered one of the most powerful incarnations of the Lord Vishnu.

As a part of the celebration, students had arranged a beautiful tableau on the theme of “Incidence of Life of Yashodha and Krishna”.  A House-wise Classical Dance Competition was also presented in front of the well attendant audience related to Krishna

Altogether, 200 students, 32 teaching & non-teaching staffs and their families were the part of the celebration in the school.
