New Academic session 2018-19 started on 9th May 2018 with prayer and resolutions by the students and Teachers of the Vidyalaya. All offered solemn prayer to GODDESS SRASWATHI FOR HER BLESSINGS.
Sri R.KRISHNA KUMARJI,Member VKVAPT ,Dibrugarh conducted the Matri Puja Ceremony with full of devotion and reverence for mothers .He explained the importance and significance of the Matri puja.After the puja ,a few parents and students expressed their good feeling which they experienced during the entire programme. They also expressed their gratitude towards VKV for arranging such a unique programme which are rare in other schools.Sri Kumaravel, CIC, Kameng cluster also attended the programme.
Miss TENZING YAMCHUNG, Circle Officer,RUPA inaugurated the Utsarg-18 for the Class X students of VKV,Shergaon on 8th February 2018. Sri SANGE TASHI.JPM,RUPA, Miss PASSANG MEYOR DABI,SENIOR TEACHER,CHEMISTRY,Govt.Hr.Secondary School.KALAKTANG and Shri Millo Tassor,IFS ,D.F.O. RUPA took classes on the topics : IMPORTANCE TO PRESERVE RICH ARUNACHAL CULTURAL HERITAGE OF ARUNACHAL PRADESH ,HOW TO PREPARE LESSONS FOR SCORING GOOD MARKS IN CBSE EXAMS and IMPORTANCE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF FORESTS &WILD LIVES IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH respectively during Hari Om Sessions.
Subject Experts for all subjects took classes on 9th Feb.2018 for clearing the doubts in the 5 main subjects and taught the strategies to prepare well in the forthcoming CBSE –Board Exams 2018.
Sri SURAJ GURUNG,SUB DIVISIONAL OFFICER attended the Valedictory function of the Utsarg-18 as Chief Guest and advised the students to work hard and wished success for their all examinations and future higher studies. Three of the Camp participants shared their experiences during the Camp. Sri K.K.Subramanian, Principal, VKV, Shergaon and Sri R.P.Singh, Teacher gave welcome and vote of thanks respectively during the function.
Man. BHANUDASJI,General Secretary, VIVEKANANDA KENDRA,KANYAKUMARI visited VKV,SHERGAON along with Sri RUPESH MATHURJI,Joint Secretary,VKV ARUNACHAL PRADESH TRUST on 28th January 2018. During his stay in the school campus, he addressed all hostel students from class IV to X.He conducted a special session for class XI and XII (Science stream) students and urged the students to learn the science with its utility in day to day life. He said, there is science in everything.Science unravels the truth through experiments and hypothesis. Everything is interconnected in the universe.if anybody thinks that he or she is not depending on anybody, then all problems creep in the society. We are part of the society.If anything affects the society, it affects each individual also. We must contribute good things to the society by our thoughts, words and actions.
Man.Bhanuji conducted a session for all the teachers for improving the quality of education. All teacachers were asked to write their objectives as a teacher in VKV as well as their action plans .A fruitful discussion was held in this session too.
10 (Ten) students of class-XI (SCIENCE) along with Smt.Manjusha Patil ,Teacher participated the ISHAN VIKAS programme at IIT,DELHI from 7th December 2017 to 14 th December2017.They returned the school on 15th December 2017 with rich learning experiences.
VKV,SHERGAON conducted a Field study trip to EAGLE NEST-WILD LIFE sanctuary on 20th December 2017 for the students of Class-IX and X. It was a science project for the students to study the flora and fauna in the Evergreen forest. Sri L.N.Thongchung,Deputy Forest Range Officer explained about the various species of birds, animals and trees found in this sanctuary.
The Library week was observed in VKV,SHERGAON from 19th to 25th November 2017 with various learning activities such as BOOK EXHIBITION, SPEECH ON IMPORTANCE OF READING BOOKS,DISPLAYING OF QUOTATIONS OF GREAT MEN,NEWS PAPER CLIPINGS,STORY TELLING e.t.c.
As a part of creating awareness among school going students ,teachers and public a book exhibition and reading session was conducted at Govt.Sec.School, Shergaon.
Parents meeting and Talents'day of Primary children(Class-I to V) conducted in VKV shergaon on the occasion of Children's day 14th November2017.
120 parents out of 182 attended the meeting and the cultural show of primary children.Principal briefed about the importance of parents'meeting and different activities of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA in Arunachal Pradesh.He also highlighted about the 40 years of completion of service activities of VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh in 2017.
