Universal Brotherhood Day celebrated - VKV Jirdin
Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated in VKV Jirdin, where Sri. Eto Ete DDSE, Aalo graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Sri. Vinod Kr. Pandey Principal, JNV Kombo as the Guest of Honour. Sri. Bamo Jini well-wisher of Vivekananda Kendra and Vibhag Pramukh (Siang Vibhag) of Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti also attended the programme. The programme started with lighting of the lamp. Principal, VKV Jirdin felicitated the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour and welcomed all the parents and invited guest for the day’s celebration. Followed by the momentous Chicago address of Swami Vivekananda was addressed by a student of class VIII. The significance of the day was elaborated by the English teacher Su. Kajal Neog Phukan.
The Chief Guest Sri. Eto Ete (DDSE, Aalo) thanked the institution for carrying out the noble task of imparting education to the children of Arunachal Pradesh. And requested parents and local people to cooperate and support the school at all times. He also addressed specially to parents to take care of their wards by not providing all the things, which are not of utmost importance and motivate them towards studies to make them capable of the present competitive world. He concluded with the famous quote of Swami Vivekananda “ Arise , Awake and stop not till the goal is reached”.
The Guest of Honour, Sri. Vinod Kr. Pandey(Principal ,JNV Kombo) threw light on the meaning of Universal Brotherhood Day and appreciated the students for the beautiful programme organized.
A short cultural programme was kept where various selected items like Hindi patriotic song, action song by the tiny tots of class -I, yoga demonstration by the students of class-IV & V, english drama based on the incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda, galo traditional dance by the students of class VI were performed. After the vote of thanks, the programme was winded up with shanti mantra.
