Matri Puja 2019 @ VKV Kitpi, Tawang

His Eminence Dr Rikya Lhavoe Rinpoche and President Monpa Mimang Tshokpa Sri Rinchen Dorjee graced the Matri Puja and inaugurated the new dining hall at VKV Kitpi.

Dr Rikya Lhavoe Rinpoche appreciated such noble initiative to offer ones respect and indebtedness to ones  mother for her kindness, love and upbringing all of us inspite of all hardships and difficulties.

Rinpoche said that academic professionals are the greatest achievement in human history and swamiji's approach in the field of education based on Indian culture and tradition in parallel with modern education system is one of the greatest contribution not only to Indian people but also to the whole humanity.  Citing various incidents from Lord Buddha's life Dr Rikya Rinpoche said that such practice will give more confidence and better outlook towards ones culture which is very much there both in Hindu and Buddhist tradition.

Speaking on the occasion President MMT Sri Rinchen Dorjee said that along with academic performance such programme will inculcate moral values. The very purpose of education is not to achieve high degree or high position rather it is more in being good human.



Sri Krishna Kumar,  official from VKVAPT laid down the importance of Matri puja.

The others present in the occasion included President Tang-Nyom-Tsogpa Sri Nawang Norbu, RO Sri Phurpa Tsering Lhoupa,  Lopon Thupten Tsewang, Vice Chairman LNCS Sri Konjo Tsering, Zilla Karyavah RSS Sri Dorjee Kesang, Principal VKV Mukto Sri Omanakuttan.

At the beginning the dignitaries were received by Principal Sri R.M Pillai and Chairman Sri Rinchin Norbu.

NDRF Training Conducted BN.NDRF Team - VKV Kitpi Tawang

VKV kitpi attended NDRF training conducted by 12th BN. NDRF team in colabration with Tawang District Disaster management department. VKV kitpi and Govt.secondary school atudents and some selected staff members attended the programme along with Sri R.MPillai principal vkv kitpi. After training students paericipated in the mock drill along with the resource persons. The department instructed to form a NDRF team in school level.

International  Yoga Day celebrated - VKV kitpi Tawang

International  Yoga Day celebrated at VKV kitpi. In celebration  650 persons participated  in the programme. Participants  are from Govt secondary  school Kitpi,PHC Kitpi, circle officer Kitpi,  villagers from Kitpi And education department Kitpi. Sri Tenzin jambey APCS circle  officer  Kitpi inaugurated the program.

Parents Meet - VKV Kitpi Tawang

A parents meeting of class X  students conducted at VKV Kitpi on 10.06.18 . All  Teaching staff and parents of class X students attended the meeting without any failure.  Sri Rinchin Norbu  SSG chairman  and Sri Sangey Chondup Ex VKVain and well wisher of vkv kitpi  also attended the meeting.  

We discussed various subjects regarding both academic and non- academic matters. Parents appreciated the academic and non - academic activities  of our   school

Matri Puja - VKV Kitpi Tawang

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kitpi organized 'Matri Puja' programme at Vivekananda hall on 10th December 2017 for the first batch class X students of the Vidyalaya. Matri Puja is organised in VKVs to provide one-time experience of greatness of mother to the teenage children before leaving the school after completing the first stage of their studies.

Addressing the gathering of parents, teachers and students of class IX and X, he said that achieving high degrees and becoming officers or public leaders are not much important unless one has a good moral values. He compared the importance of moral values with the cement used to join bricks for construction of buildings. If the cement used is weak then the building will be weak, even though it may look huge and beautiful. He further said that, the students are like kites and are in the hands of their parents by thread. With pulling of thread the kites attain higher heights. In the same way the students must be under the guidance of their parents and teachers. He said that in Gurukuls during ancient times the students after completing their education they were made to take pledges as., Matri Devo Bhave, Pitri Devo Bhava, Acharya Devo Bhava and Rastri Devo Bhava.

Sri Rinchin Norbu, Chairman SSG expressed his views on such programmes. He said that, all great persons were influenced by kindness, compassion and humbleness of their mother. Wishing the gathering on the occasion of 28th Noble peace prize to His Holiness the Dalai Lama the Chairman quoted the life of His Holiness wherein His Holiness was greatly influenced by his mother.

The parents and students also shared their experiences on this occasion. At the very beginning the students washed the feet of their mother and offered Argham (water), Padhyam (water for bathing), Pushpe (flower), Dhupe (incense), Aloke (light), Gandhe (perfume) and Nevidhya (celestial food)

The programme was graced by Sri Krishna Kumarji, senior member of VKAPT, Sri Rinchin Norbu, Chairman of the School Support Group and Shri Balaji Wagmare, Principal VKV Kitpi. 26 out of 30 students' parents attended the first ever Matri Puja of the Vidyalaya
