Ganesh Chaturthi celebration 2020

Ganesh Chaturthi was being celebrated on 22nd August 2020 at the school premises in a befitting manner to commemorate the birthday of Bhagwan Ganesha who is known as the God of intellect and wisdom.The program was started with three omkaras followed by Sahna bhavatu.  Importance of the day was told by Sri Madan Kafle, Sanskrit teacher followed by Ganesh Pujan and aarti. There was Ganesh Bhajan. Finally the program ended with Shanti mantra and Prasad distribution.

Report on observation of Eknathji Punya Tithi 2020

VKV Koloriang has observed Man. Eknathji Punya Tithi on 22nd August 2020 among the staffs in a befitting manner. Importance of the day was told by Su. Purnima Ray. Various points on the life and contribution of Man. Eknathji Ranade were highlighted. The various difficulties faced by Man. Eknathji for making Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari and establishment of Vivekananda Kendra were highligted. There was Quiz Competition among the staffs on the life of Man. Eknathji and Vivekananda Kendra. All the staffs actively participated in the program. In the evening prayer, there was Review Swadhyay Session on the book Sadhna of Service as already reading and discussion of all 40 chapters were completed.

Report on the celebration of Raksha Bandhan 2020

VKV Koloriang has celebrated Raksha Bandhan on 3rd August 2020 in a befitting manner. Importance of the day was told by Sri Madan Kafle.

The program started with 3 Omkaras followed by Sahna Bhavatu. After telling importance of the day, Rakhi was offered to swami Vivekananda with mantra. All the staffs tied rakhi in each other’s hand.  Finally, the program ended with Shanti mantra. All the staffs were present in the program (total 12).

vivekananda Mahasamadhi Diwas Conducted - VKV Koloriang

VKV Koloriang has observed Vivekananda Mahasamadhi Day on 4th July 2020 to commemorate the 118th death anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in a befitting manner. Importance of the day was told by Sri Ramesh Yadav. Swami Vivekananda’s photo was arranged in the prayer hall and paid tribute by offering flowers by all the staffs

After the importance of the day, Patriotic song “Bhuvanamandale” was sung together by all the staffs (total 10). All the teachers also presented Swamiji’s quotation one each.  Finally the program ended with Shanti Mantra.


Report of the activities conducted this week at VKV Koloriang (15th  – 20th  June 2020)

We are having 09 teachers including Principal as on date. The incoming teacher and Sri Pankaj Boruah have not reached so far. This week following activities were conducted at VKV Koloriang:

  1. Meeting through Video Conference in Google Meet was conducted on 17th June 2020 with Aparna Didi, Secretary, VKV APT, Dibrugarh.
  2. Story-telling on daily basis turn-wise by all the teachers.
  3. Vocabulary learning activities are continuing on daily basis – subject-wise by all the teachers.
  4. Patriotic song with bhavarth. One song for one week. This week the song chosen was “Bane Hum Rashtra ke yogi”.
  5. Thought explanation is continuing on daily basis. Thought this week were “Sangharsh jitni kathin hogi jit utni sandar hogi”, “All birds find shelter during rain but eagle find the shelter by flying above the sky”, “Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out”, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, & “if you want to shine like a sun, first burn like a sun”.
  6. Sanskrit learning activities are continuing on daily basis.
  7. Preparation of teaching-learning materials is also included in our daily activities. Everyday 1 hour time is devoted to this activity.
  8. Reading and discussion on the book “Bharatiya Samskriti” by man. Nivedita Didi is continuing on daily basis. The chapters discussed this week are: Relevance of studying Indian Culture, Oneness: The Vision of Indian Culture – The Vision of Life, Bharatiya Samskriti: Oneness is the vision of life, The Vision of oneness is inculcated through cultural practices & All Festivals have Poojas as its integral part.
  9. Video clips of different asanas and pranayams were prepared in connection to the 6th International Yoga Day. Some clips were sent to parents and students also for the practice at home.

Kitchen garden activities are continuing. In addition to all these above mentioned activities, VKV Team Math & Science Activities on daily basis and online classes for the students are also going on.

Rests of the activities are under planning.
