National Youth Day Celebration - VKV Koloriang
The much awaited programme of this session i.e. “National Youth Day” has been successfully organised on 12th January 2018, at VKV Koloriang. The fantastic turnout above 250 parents, 200 students, teachers and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for this celebration. The celebration started at 10.30 AM with the arrival of Chief Guest. The first and foremost motive of the programme was to fulfil the aim of making the future of the country better by motivating youths through lessons derived from the life and ideas of Swamiji.
The programme commenced with the lightening of the lamp by the honourable Chief Guest, Sri. Honjon Perme, Circle Officer of Koloriang and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Chasen Lowang, District Medical Officer, Kurung kumey and proceeded with a welcome song. Thereafter, our principal sir delivered a welcome speech to the gathering. Then, Sri. Ramesh Yadav sir delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of the day which left everyone spellbound. After completing his speech, the honourable Chief Guest and Guest of Honour were felicitated with memento to mark our love and respect. After that, the Chief Guest was requested to address the gathering, Sir graced the occasion with his scintillating speech sharing his views on swamiji and his ideals. Sir also narrated short stories of swamiji and stated that swamiji is indeed, a youth icon of our country. On the other hand, the Guest of Honour, Dr. Chasen Lowang also graced the occasion and delivered her speech focussing our organisation and made the audience aware of how our organisation helps people by grooming their children to be responsible citizens for the country. Thereafter, prizes were given away to the students for their best performances in various aspects by the honourable Chief Guest & the Guest of Honour.
After completing all these, the cultural programme was presented by the students. The programme was greatly appreciable as it mesmerised everybody. Specially, the girls presented their dance which was based on local and national flavour. Whereas, the boys presented a message oriented play on Swamiji. On this day, we took a sweet initiative of collecting donation.
