Hindi Diwas Celebrated - VKV Basar

The celebrations began with 3 omkara and shanti mantra after that principal didi spoke on the occasion gave an insight and importance of Hindi Dohas in our daily life and urged everyone to feel proud of our National Language Hindi. Language and culture of any country plays an important role in making people to connect with the people & helps in making a strong nation.

Hindi teacher Su. Yabi Yomgam didi gave a speech on this occasion she gave an importance of Hindi language and how celebrating the day helps in sustaining traditional values and glorifying them to reinforce the languages importance and English is equally important and that it should be used in such a way that both languages Hindi and English complement each other. Thus, the celebration concluded with shanti Path “Serve bhawantu” and a positive note.


Universal Brotherhood Day Celebrated  - VKV Basar

This year 11th September is very special for us as it was 50 years ago, on this very day by Tithi of 11 September 1893 the date being 2 September 1970 Vivekananda Rock Memorial was inaugurated. Last year we had a grand celebration of Universal brotherhood day. This year god has given us a new experience. Every year Vivekananda Kendra celebrates 11th September as Universal Brotherhood Day.

On universal Brotherhood Day, the day swami Vivekananda gave the message of Universal Brotherhood through his lecture in parliament of Religions at Chicago. He addressed the audience as “Sisters and Brothers of America” and emphasized on Universal Tolerance.

Universal brotherhood was celebrated in VKV Basar with great enthusiasm among all the teaching staffs. The programme was started by lighting of lamp by principal of VKV Basar followed by 3 omkar and prayer after prayer swadhya was conducted on letter from Nivedita didi the vice president of Vivekananda Kendra share beautiful message on this day. Some following points have discussed:

  • Help to each other not fight
  • Assimilation not destruction.
  • Peace and Harmony not dissension.
  • Co-existing all religions/culture not conversion
  • Not to rejection of theirs god.
  • Not to ignorance one’s own God
  • Mutual respect to each other irrespective of caste/creed/fender/rich/poor/community/region.
  • Uniformity of human society by feeling of universal brotherhood.

Report on Ma. Eknathji Punya Tithi and Ganesh Chaturthi

On 22nd August 2020 Ma. Eknathji Punya Tithi and Ganesh Chaturthi was observed in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Basar. Bhandari sir (Sanskrit teacher) had chanted mantras and all the teachers of VKV Basar followed the mantra and prayed together.
Ganesh chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav.
Bhandari sir spoke on the Ganesh Chaturthi, and two Ganesh Bhajan was sung by the teachers and followed by Aarti to Lord Ganesha with playing Ganesh Aarti.
After finished the Aarti Ma. Eknathji Punya Tithi was observed.
Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade, The Man with Capital ‘M’, a visionary, who proved that every obstacle can be converted into opportunities, through his work and deeds. Sri Eknathji Ranade, the founder of Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Rock Memorial.
Delivered a speech by Kenny Hokom didi on Ma. Eknath ji, she spoke about the life of Sri Eknath ji Ranade and underlined the great work done by Eknathji. Followed by ‘Push Arpan’ to Eknathji by all the staffs.

Independence Day Celebration

It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show. The main Programme is celebrated at the Red Fort in New Delhi. Besides, this festival is also celebrated in every city and town, in school, college and university.

 For this year, we had made all the preparations. In the morning   our Principal Bhima didi hoisted the national flag on the school ground sharp at 8:00 am. All the students and teachers saluted the flag, command by the Yami didi and then sang the National Anthem. Then followed by Patriotic song (yaha kal kal chal chal behete ) were sang by all the teachers including Principal didi .Our four students were attended in flag ceremony.

In the end, the principal delivered a short speech. She told the students and teacher about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs who gave their live for the sake of freedom. She also said that the freedom was very precious and it was very necessary to preserve it. She said very beautiful line “it is only because of their sacrifices that we are able to take breath free under the flag today”

After summing up the programme we went “GENERAL GROUND” for attending 74th Independence Day 2020.

Krishna Janmashtami Celebration - VKV Basar

On 12th August 2020, Shree Krishna janmotsav was celebrated by teacher of VKV Basar. It brought devotion, Creativity, enjoyment and fun all together. The event was co-ordinate by all the faculty members. The celebration began by offering homage full of devotion to lord Krishna through Shree krishna Arti by Shri Gyanendra Bhandari Sir.he offered prayers.

Together sang Madhurastakam then followed by one Krishna Bhajan by Junu Gogoi Didi . Speech on Krishna Janmastami by Junu Gogoi Didi, she delivered about why Lord Krishna has born “yada yada he dharmashya”. Shri Krishna is believed to be the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu who was born on earth to restore peace and Dharma in the Dwapar Yuga.

On this auspicious day we merged one more programme together that is birth anniversary of Vikram Sarabhai, Centenary programme held. Namita Gantayat Didi gave speech on Vikram Sarabhai that Vikram Sarabhai was a visionary scientist, industrialist and institution – builder who called for the development of satellite – based remote sensing of natural resources. He was the founder of ISRO and father of the Indian space program. After that Rakshasurta tied ceremony was held by G. Bhandari sir.

Bhima didi our Principal Didi was concluded the programme with few lines on Krishna Janmastami to us with her blessing.
