Report on Universal Brotherhood Day

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Joram has observed 11 September 2020 to commemorate the historic speech delivered by Indian thinker and spiritualist Swami Vivekananda at ‘World Parliament of Religion’ on this day in 1893 in Chicago. The school has conducted a small programme in this auspicious occasion via Google meet. The program was started at 8.45 am with three ‘Omkar’ followed by ‘Ekya Mantra’ then Principal Sir, gave his welcome speech  in this occasion to the students and parents. Prabhot Newar sang a patriotic song after that Dharmeswar Tanti delivered a speech on ‘The importance of day’ and highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s remarkable contribution to Indian’s spirituality. After that there was a ‘Drawing & Painting competition’ on Swami Vivekananda for classes (I to V) and a ‘Quiz Competition’ on Swami Vivekananda for classes( VI to VIII) as well as for all the teaching staffs through link(https://quizzory.com/id/5f5a3b127d60730af5184926). For Quiz competition preparation booklet on Swami Vivekananda was prepared and sent to students one week before . Total  70 students attended the programme including some parents. The students took part in both the competitions enthusiastically. The pragramme was ended at 9.50 am with ‘Shanti Mantra. And at 9.50 am all the teaching staffs attended ‘Vedic Vision Foundation Programme through Google meet.

Local Puja Conducted - VKV Joram

Culture, tradition and custom play an important role for a civilization and character of its citizens and society. It helps in striking the balance with Mother Nature, conservation of natural resources and respecting each other.

On the date of 6th July VKV, Joram had organized a local puja and invited a local priest named Sri Likha Takar to ensure harmony, prosperity and well-being of the students and staffs in the Campus of VKV, Joram. The puja started at 10 am with the felicitation to the priest with a ‘fulam gamucha’ by Principal Sir. Principal sir briefly explained about the role of Kendra in propagating the tradition and culture of Arunachal Pradesh since it started its schools to aware the students about its own culture and tradition  and how to hold it in life. On the day of the puja, the priest made a special structure called ‘Yugang’ is made of bamboo fibre beautiful designed and kept at a particular place where the priest chanted mantras calling on all the natural deities. The priest explained the puja by saying that the god of nature is nothing but the guard and witness of nature and it is believed that each item of forest has an eye to see in each one a god. Attempt has been made here to visualize man’s inclination towards nature worship and their concern about traditional customs and rites. The puja was continued up to 6pm. All the teaching and non-teaching staff attended the programme

Guru Purnima Celebrated - VKV Joram

VKV JORAM observed the auspicious day of Guru Purnima with great devotion. In the evening prayer, in the prayer hall Sri Ashish Kumar, the Hindi teacher of VKV JORAM gave a speech on the significance of Guru Purnima and also highlighted the importance of Guru in our life and also compared the difference between Guru and the teacher. It was followed by three omkaras, shahanabhavatu and Guru Mantra. After the speech Guru Bhajans were sung by our teaching staff. The event was truly significant in making each staff member special for his/her role in ensuring the all round development and well-being of their pupils. ALL teaching and non- teaching staffs of the school attended the programme. The programme concluded by Shanti Mantra followed by Kendra Prayer.   

Orientation Workshop on Final Board Examination Preparation

Aiming to provide an intense training on securing good marks and result in the Final Board Examination which is going to be conducted by Arunachal Pradesh State Board (APSB) for the academic session 2019 – 20 targeting the grades especially V and VIII a one day orientation workshop was organized by Sri Ashok Singh, the principal of VKV Joram and Sri Pranjal Kumar Das, the Mathematics teacher of the school. Though the workshop was organized for the students of grades V and VIII but the students of grades VI and VII were also attended the workshop. There were 110 participants including boys and girls as well as 6 teachers in the workshop. It is aimed that this orientation workshop will act as an effective supplement and  boost the performance of students for final examination .

REPORT ON CELEBRATION OF REPUBLIC DAY

 On the auspicious morning of 26th January 2020, our school Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Joram celebrated 71st Republic Day in the school premises. It was the matter of great pride for all of us. The principal, teachers and the students didn’t want to leave any stone unturned in making this monumental day a memorable one. To make the program a remarkable one, 10 teaching staffs, 2 non – teaching staffs and 173 students were present in the function.

The students from different hostels as well as all the day scholar students gathered in the school campus at 6:30 a.m. After that all the students were divided into two groups in two lines for Prabhat Feri with a set of effective patriotic slogans in the hands of the students written on the cardboard. The Prabhat Feri was started from the school premises to the Joram Tin-Ali Centre and returned back to the origin. After coming back everybody stood straight for National Anthem sung by the teachers and the students. Then the Principal of the school, Sri Ashok Singh delivered a brief valuable speech on the significance of the day. After this, students presented cultural items.

These cultural items included patriotic songs, folk dances and speeches. The students of grade VIII (8) to class I performed their class song in a melodious voice. After this the students of grade IV (4) performed the Lezim dance under the guidance of Sri Probhat Newar, the PT teacher of the school. Then, the students of grade II to V performed  beautiful folk dance.  The cultural programs were judged by a couple of teachers, Sri Ashok Singh and Sri Dharmeswar Tanti. Then the function ended with the distribution of chocolates among the students.

Despite weather being inclement, all the teachers as well as the students enjoyed 71st Republic Day with great enthusiasm.
