Universal Brotherhood Day Celebrated - VKV Joram

               A small but beautiful cultural programme was organized to commemorate Swamiji’s Chicago address celebrated as Universal Brotherhood day.  JT Obi, ADC , Yachuli graced the occasion as Chief Guest. 150 Parents, 212 students & all staff members attended the programme. The prog. stared with the introduction &  facilitation of our guest followed by deep prajvalan by the honourable guests. . The welcome address was given by the Principal and he also briefed about Vivekananda Shila Smarak : Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat – an year long , nation wide Mahasamparka Abhiyan .The significance of the Day was delivered by Shri Ashish kumar .The Chief Guest was full of Praise for the organization for their remarkable service in imparting quality education to the students of Arunachal Pradesh. He said the teachings of Swami Vivekananda were more relevant today then when he addressed the World Religious conference at Chicago and gave call for ' Universal Brotherhood'. He said youth should make Swami Vivekananda their icon to lead an ideal life. He stressed on the youth to follow Swami Vivekananda’s teachings which would keep them close to their cultural roots.He further added Nothing is going to happen , if we pay fund to church, we did not get anything in return. So fund should be given to school as we get education in return. Now a days so many schools are running but vkv is unique as it gives real education, develops personality, builds character and teaches to maintain culture .The programme started at 10.00 am. &  was completed at 12pm.

 The students presented a beautiful Cultural programme including beautiful messages of Swami Vivekananda.  They won the heart of the audience through their simple and precise presentations. Lastly words of thanks was delivered by Sri Darmeswar Tanti & the prog ended with shanti mantra & kendra prathana

District  Level  INSPIRE Awards-MANAK- VKV JORAM

'Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research' (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the flagship programmes of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE Awards - MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), being executed by DST with National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST, aims to motivate students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in classes 6 to 10. The objective of the scheme is to target one million original ideas/innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children. Under this scheme, schools can nominate 2-3 best innovative ideas online through  website.

In school level, students were  asked to write down the innovative ideas in the form of project and models along with its working, uses and advantages . To think and act, ten days  time was allotted to all the students of VI to VIII. In school level , on project submission day, we received the write ups of 20 different  innovative ideas. After verification of originality,  best three innovative projects were Selected and uploaded online successfully under the guidance of Sri Samiran Barua sir and the same is forwarded to District Authority for its approval and further action

 Krishna Janmastami  Celebrations – VKV Joram

Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the name of  Krishna. Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous re-incarnations of Lord Vishnu. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon. This day indicated the beginning of hope in the older times; hope, that the malicious rule of Kansa would soon end.

On Saturday, 24 of August 2019, Vivekananda Kendra celebrated Janmashtami in a graceful manner. The programme was started at 9.30 am by lightning of lamp by principal. Su Phurpa Lhamu hosted the program and   Smt. Durga Tripathi explained the significance of the day.

All children came in their traditional dresses. Some boys came dressed as ‘Krishna’ and some girls came dressed as ‘Radha’. Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colorful. A fancy dress competition for primary classes was also held where the girls were decked up as Radha and the boys as Sri Krishna.

This was followed by a couple of bhajans on Sri Krishna and house wise dance competition. Sri Ashok Singh sir and Sri Samiran Barua were the judges. The students were judged on the basis of their make-up, expressions as well as level of confidence. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the children and staff of the school, where all the teaching and non teaching staff, all students, some parents, private hostel owners and wardens were attainted the program. Lastly the program was concluded with shanty mantra and Prashad distribution.

Eknathji Ranade’s Punyatithi Observed -VKV Joram

Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade’s Punyatithi was observed in VKV, Joram on 22nd August, 2019 . Sri Bahubali Chougule, the Sanskrit teacher organized the event in a very grand manner in the morning assembly. He decorated a photograph of Eknathji with flowers and lighted the lamp and delivered  speech on life history and contribution of Eknathji Ranade in making of rock memorial and Vivekananda Kendra..“Mann mein hamne yah thaani hai……” a tribute song was sung by a group of student to show their respect to Eknathji’s work. Lastly, all the students and the teaching staff of VKV Joram paid their floral tribute to the decorated photograph of Eknathji Ranade while a tribute song titled by “Vandana Abhinandana  Hai Desh……” was being played during floral tribute .

 Inter House Mathmatics Quiz Competition - VKV Joram

Without Mathematics, there’s nothing we can do. Everything around us is Mathematics. Everything around us is numbers. TO ENCOURAGE AND ENABLE STUDENTS RECOGNIZE THAT MATHEMATICS PERMEATES THE WORLD AROUND US, APPRECIATE THE USEFULNESS, POWER AND BEAUTY OF MATHEMATICS, ENJOY MATHEMATICS AND DEVELOP PATIENCE AND PERSISTENCE WHEN SOLVING PROBLEMS, an Inter-house Math Quiz competition was held at VKV Joram on August 20, 2019. Sri Pranjal Kumar Das and Sri Sujit Dey, the Mathematics Teachers conducted the quiz. The quiz began with the three OM KARAS. Then Sri Pranjal Kumar Das introduced all the participant of different houses. There were total twenty (20) participants and four (4) teams in this Math Quiz Competition. The teams were named according to the names of famous Indian Mathematician as Aryabhata, Brahmagupta, Bhaskara and Ramanujan. From each group maximum five students combining of classes VI, VII and VIII were allowed to take part in the competition. Before starting the quiz Sri Pranjal Kumar Das explained all the general rules of the inter-house quiz competition. Sri Pranjal Kumar Das and Sri Sujit Dey played the role of Quiz Masters, Sri Samiran Baruah was selected as scorer to maintain the score of all the teams and Sri Bahubali Chougule played the role of Time keeper of the Quiz competition. The rest of the students of classes VI, VII and VIII as well as the teaching staff of the school were invited to the event.

The first round was on Mathematical Awareness Round. This round was won by the team Brahmagupta by securing 30 marks.

The second round was on Number System. The team Bhaskara won this round by scoring 20 marks.

The third round was on Problem Solving round and in this round the teams Aryabhata, Brahmagupta and Bhaskara got equal marks.

Data handling round was the fourth round followed by Problem Solving round and Bhaskara won this round by securing 30 marks.

The fifth round was on Geometry. Brahmagupta got maximum 35 marks and won this round.

The last round was on Photo Identification. Each team got two pictures to identify. All the four teams got equal marks in this round.

The teaching staff of the school and all the students of class VI, VII and VIII participated as an active audience and where they enthusiastically answered. They were awarded for answering correctly. The results were announced at the end of the quiz. The team Brahmagupta and Bhaskara were declared as winners where they got the maximum marks 104. While Aryabhata stood at the second position by securing 84 marks and Ramanujan got the 3rd position by scoring 60 marks.

All the participants, students and teaching staff enjoyed the program. The event was ended by chanting Shanti Mantra and Kendra Prayer.
