Guru Poornima Celebration - VKV Joram

On 16th july 2019 , the staff and students of VKV JORAM observed the auspicious day of Guru poornima with great reverence and devotion. In the morning assembly km. joram Adam of class VIII gave a speech on the significance of Guru poornima and she also highlighted the importance of Guru in our lives. It was followed by four Guru Bhajans by all the four houses. In the 7th period shri Asish kumar sir and Smt. Durga Tripathi Didi conducted self composed Guru Bhajan writing competition for the students of class VI, VII, and VIII. The event was truly significant in making each staff member feel special for her/ his role in ensuring the all round development and well-being of their pupils. Total 71  students participated in the competition .  142 students and 12 staff members attented the programme. Truly , it is days like these that serve to keep alive the ‘Guru Shishya Parampara ‘ in the school. The day glorified the traditional practice of honoring the ‘Guru’ who play a vital role in shaping the future of the students

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA MAHA SAMADHI OBSERVATION-VKV JORAM

VKV Joram observed Swami Vivekananda Maha Samadhi day on 4th July 2019 with the primary aim of sensitizing the students about the philosophies, principles and ideas of Swami Vivekananda. Sri Bahubali Chaugule sir, spoke on the significance of the day and the life and the message of Swamiji Vivekananda in the morning assembly. He motivated the students to be good citizens, by contributing in the development of the country. As a part of the programme, after the speech,  the students of class- VII and VIII  presented a song ( Mann Mein Taakat)  on Swami Vivekananda. It was followed by floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda by teachers and students. In the last period , drawing and painting competition was conducted for classes III to V and quotation writing  for Classes VI to VIII .Total 166 Students participated enthusiastically in the competition.

21-06-19 – International Yoga Day.

      International Yoga Day was celebrated in an impressive manner at the school play ground from 9:00 am  to 10.30 am. In the morning assembly Sri. Dharmeshwar Tanti  in his speech highlighted the origin, history and health benefits of Yoga. Sri Prabhat Newar and Sri. Dharmeshwar Tanti  co-ordinated the yoga demonstration. Asanas like Suriya Namaskar, Tadasana, Vrksasana, Pada-Hastasana, Ardha Chakrasana and Trikonasana were performed by all the students and the teaching Staffs. Intensive training was imparted to the students in the last period from last 7 days to ensure quality performance. 197 students and 11 staff members were participated in the yoga demonstration programme.
