‘Saksham’ National Painting Competition - VKV Joram
Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India, is committed to make oil conservation a National Movement. The Painting, competition aim to raise awareness among youth about practical conservation tips for the conservation of Petroleum products in industrial, transport, agriculture and domestic sector, and how to practice such tips in their daily lives.
Drawing competition is an important aspect for students to ignite awareness about the burning issues of the 21st century. These competitions motivate them to express their views and explore their creativity through their Art works.
The painting competition was conducted in our school on 15 September 2019 on the topic “ Oil conservation towards healthy and better environment”. A total number of 116 students were participated .
The topic of painting competition was displayed on the school notice board before one week in advance of school level competition. The In-charge of painting competition advised the students to prepare in advance for the school level competition . This enabled the participants to obtain relevant information from various sources.. This exercise is focused on increasing awareness in young minds for the National cause of Conservation of Fuel and Environment Protection.
According to the rule students were divided into two categories Junior (Class- V to VII) & Senior (Class- VIII). Their drawing were judged on the basis of perspective in line, colour , composition and presentation. Judgment was done by coordinator Sri. Samiran Barua. All the students were participated with full enthusiasm and the winners were appreciated by our Principal, Sri. Ashok Singh.
The best two painting in each category Junior Kr. Biri Tath, Class-VI & Kr. Neelam Topu, Class- VI and Senior Km Joram Nanu, Class-VIII & Km. Sorang Tutu, Class-VIII were uploaded on 30 September 2019 on the PCRA website. They were awarded with a certificates from PCRA. Final result will be declared in the month of January 2020. The students whose paintings are adjudged in the best 100 paintings in each category, on All India basis, will be invited to participate in a National Final round at Delhi. PCRA shall bear the expenses of travel, and the best 100 in each category shall be advised on the same.
