Sadhana Diwas Celebrated - VKV Kimi

Sadhna Diwas was observed by paying homage to one of the great souls of Mother India, Mananeeya Eknath Ranade. During the school assembly, Principal, VKV, Kimi, briefed the students about the life of Eknathji. He said, “His life and work for the nation is a perfect example of Sadhna.”  He also urged to the students and teachers to become a role model for the society and lift up the cultural values. Later on, students and teachers offered flowers and took Eknathji’s blessing.

Essay Writing Competition Conducted - VKV Kimi

Based on the guidelines suggested by the Administrative Office regarding the Process Planning for Inter –VKV Essay Writing Competition, following steps were undertaken in the past one-month:

  • Books like- A Biography of Swami Vivekananda, Life of Swami Vivekananda, etc. were suggested to be read from the library.
  • Incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda were shared by the teachers.
  • Sample Essays on different topics were provided.
  • Mock Test and different activities relating creative writing were conducted for improving the writing skills.
  • A Workshop was conducted by the teachers under the supervision of Education Officer, Sri. S. Muralidharan, which highlighted the structure and the pattern of the essay.
  • Speech Competition was conducted on ‘Life and Work of Swami Vivekananda’ to give an insight to Swamiji’s life and his philosophies.
  • Story Telling and quiz was also conducted in the school assembly.

 Science cum Art and Craft Exhibition Conducted - VKV Neepco Kimi

2nd November, 2019 ( Saturday ):   A Science-cum-Art and Craft exhibition was organized by the students and staffs of VKV, ( NEEPCO ), Kimi. Sri Sushanta Deka, DGM, Electrical and Mechanical Dept., KaHEP, NEEPCO was invited as the Chief Guest. After the inauguration, Sri L. N. Handique, Principal, VKV, ( NEEPCO ), Kimi escorted him and interacted with the students regarding their models.  A total of 53 models were showcased before the audience and the guest.

Later on, the honorable Chief Guest interacted with the teachers and shared his valuable suggestions and feedback. During his interaction, he applauded the sincere efforts of the students and their mentors. He said, “Students have done a commendable job with limited resources.” He also shared his own childhood memories and pointed out the bright outcomes of such events in the life of a student.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebrated - VKV Neepco Kimi 

Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm and gaiety in the auditorium of VKV, Kimi. The programme started at around 10: 40 am and continued up to 12: 30 pm.

Sri  R. M. Sonowal, CGM ( Civil ), NEEPCO, ( KaHEP ), Kimi was invited as the Chief Guest and Sri Tapan Das , DGM ( Civil ), NEEPCO, ( KaHEP ), Kimi was present in the programme as the Guest of Honour. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sonowal said, “It is the tireless efforts of the teachers that can build a great nation.” In his speech he also appreciated the indispensable work done by VKVs in improving the educational scenario of the region.

To mark this historic day, the programme started with a patriotic song by the students of Class V. This was followed by several colourful performances by the kids of VKV, Kimi. The main highlights of the programme were ‘Yoga Demonstration’ and a traditional Nepali Dance by parents

Health Camp Organized - VKV Neepco Kimi

 Keeping the interest of the villagers and students in view, a Health Camp was organized on 7th September, 2019 in   the NEEPCO Dispensary, Kimi. This camp was organized by CHC Bhalukpong under Mukhya Mantri Rogi Kalyan Kosh   ( MMRKK ). Dr. M. Saloi ( MBBS ), Dr. P. Kobing ( MBBS ), Dr. Tage Neha and Dr L Bharat Linggi ( MD ) were the   experienced physicians who led this successful health camp. Some of the services provided during the camp were :   Gynecologist, Pediatrics, Free Lab Test, Free Medicines, Immunization for children, ANC for pregnant women, etc.

 This mega event, which saw the presence of localities and NEEPCO officers, started at around 10 am and continued   up to 3pm.
