Krishna Janmashtami Celebration

Our School Celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with great fervour on 12th August 2020 at school Premises. The Programme was started sharply at 5.00 P.m. with Ekaya mantra followed by three Omkaras. Thereafter, Principal Sir lighted the lamp. Welcome address was given by Mangesh Bhurse. The Significance of the day was highlighted by Rintu Deb. Afterwards, Puja performed by Kailash Tiadi sir followed by Bhajan and Aarti. Then Lakhi Nath Handique principal VKV Kimi briefed about the characters of Sri Krishna. Our few Students then performed two group dances. After that Prasad distribution session was held. Finally, the programme was ended with Shanti Mantra. 

Raksha Bandhan Celebration- VKV Kimi

Raksha Bandhan or ‘Rakhi’ is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between brothers and sisters which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Kimi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with full enthusiasm. All the staff members along with a few students gathered in the school to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.

          The importance of the day was highlighted by Sri Kailash Tiadi. He told about the significance of the day. He also narrated few ancient stories associated with Raksha Bandhan. After that the school member went to NEEPCO office and installed a temporary Rakhi Stall by observing the Present situation by maintaining social distancing.

Guru Purnima Celebrated - VKV Kimi

Guru Purnima, the birthday of Ved Vyasa, was celebrated in the school campus in the presence of few students and Vidyalaya inmates. The Puja started at 10:30 am with Guru Strot.  After that, Sri Kailash Tiadi shared the importance of the day and explained the role of Guru in our life. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Lakhi Nath Handique, Principal, VKV, Kimi shared the story of Lord Shri Krishna and Arjuna. He also urged the students to pay respect to their parents and elders who help to build their character and personality. Later on, Guru Bhajans were sung by the students and teachers. The puja ended at 11: 30 am with distribution of Prasadam.

Maha Shivarathri Celebrated - VKV Kimi

In the presence of students, parents and well-wishers, Maha Shiv Ratri was celebrated in the school campus with full enthusiasm. Puja rituals started at 5:30 pm and continued up to 6:30 pm. Speaking on the occasion, Sri L. N. Handique said, “Lord Shiva is symbolic to meditation and yoga; and he is the Supreme Power who governs the cosmic energy.” He recalled the different names of Lord Shiva and urged the students to develop the habit of meditation for achieving peace of mind. He also shared the importance of the day with the students. Later on, students chanted the Shiv Linga Ashtakam and sang different Shiva bhajans. After completion of all the rituals, everyone offered their prayers by pouring water and milk on the Shiva Linga.

Report on Republic Day Celebration

26th January, 2020:      Republic Day was celebrated in the school campus in a colourful manner. Flag hoisting was done at 7.30 am in the presence of students, well-wishers and parents. After that, Sri. L. N. Handique, Principal, VKV, Kimi, addressed the gathering. In his address he said, “We should try to become an idol for our society. And safeguard our cultural values and rich heritage of India.” He also lauded the efforts of the martyrs who laid their lives for making our country free from foreign rule. After that, the students participated in a half an hour long programme organized by NEEPCO in their own Admistrative Block. Our Students presented two colourful dances on popular beats like Jai Ho and Maa Tuhe Salam.
