Science Exhibition enriches innovation & skill in students - VKV Tezu

School Level Science Exhibition was organised here on 15 Dec in the premises of VKV Tezu where pupils from classes V to IX enthusiastically took part. The main idea behind organizing this sort of event was to inculcate innovative and technical skill among the students and also to infuse scientific temperament amidst the age of modernization and technological advancement.

In his welcome message, Sri Suresh Kumar Behera, Principal VKV Tezu said that the concept of arranging the exhibition was to fulfil a skill, idea and modernity in the mind of students so to cope with the growing competition. Sri Sony Muri, Agriculture Development Officer, Tezu as the Chief Guest in the inauguration ceremony also advocated the students to keep themselves abreast with the modernity and utilize the best side of the scientific advancement dissuading from its negative side affect. “Science is both boon and bane for humanity but it’s up to the persons how we utilize it, if we use the best of science it is boon but if we misuse it’s a bane. So we should have positive perspective towards all kind of gadgets “, he advises the students.

Sri PK Pandey former Principal VKV Tafragam and Cluster in-charge, Lohit Vibhag also gave affirmative opinion and advised them to participate in this sort of co-curricular activities to promote their intellectual skill.

Over 192 students competently exhibited their aptitude through various models 70 in numbers like Replicate of Human digestive system, Globe, Solar System, Rain water harvesting, Water Cycle System, Hydro Power Generation, Pollution free Environment, Solar Cooker, Indian Railways etc and so forth during the daylong exhibition.

All Parents, students from XI Science GHSS Tezu, students from Upper Primary School - 1 and 2 also joined in the exhibition to encourage and support the students.

Traditional Dance & Drama Competition - VKV Tezu

On the occasion of Indigenous Faith Day on 1st December 2017 School Level Traditional Dance & Drama Competition was staged on its school premises.

Senior students of the school with their traditional attire participated in the morning procession organised by Indigenous Faith Society, Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh. Traditional Drama & Dance Competition was performed by the students in the school at 10 am after attending the public programme. Performers in four houses in both dance and drama made every one spell bound with their role, acting & dance form.

Sri Balong Tindya, a social activist cum a horticulture farmer nearby village was the Chief Guest for the celebration who expressed his immense pleasure and happiness seeing the traditional spirit of the youngsters and appreciated VKVs which could infuse the local tradition and culture not only in the children but also in the mind of each and every Arunachalee.


Library Week- VKV Tezu

Library week was observed in VKV Tezu from 19th to 25th November, 2017 inculcating a sense of importance of book reading and an awareness of reading habit in the young minds of the school. It was inaugurated on 19th November, 2017 on Sadhana Diwas by Sri Sunil Kumar, a member of Arunacha Vikas Parisad, Tezu at 11.30 am.

Library books which were brand new displayed and hung in the School Library to arise interest towards library and library reading.

Students from Class VI to IX were taken to Dist Library & Bamboosa Library, Tezu for library reading from 20th to 22rd November, 2017 for an hour for each class during the days. There was a mass reading of library books during the last two periods on 23rd November,2017. There were 135 students at a time read the books of their choice sitting on the school ground. Library activities like Book review and its presentation in the school assembly were assigned to the senior students randomly in the rotation wise during the week.

Sadhana Diwas - VKV Tezu

Sadhana Diwas was celebrated on 19th Nov’17 (Sunday) on the school premises.

Teachers and senior students of the school took part in programme in the morning at 9.30 am. Sri Sunil Kumar, a member of Arunachal Vikas Parisad was the chief Guest for the function. A rich tribute in the form of flower offering, prayer, gita chanting, patriotic song, speech by teachers and students, Sadhana Diwas message sent by Man. Nivedita didi, Chief Guest’s address and a cleanliness programme in the school campus were organised to commemorate Mananeeya  Eknathji and his service to the mankind.

Sadgamaya Shibir held at VKV Tezu

VKV Tezu conducted Sadgamaya Shibir, a 3 days personality development camp in its school premises from 2nd October to 4th October 2017 inviting the students of Govt. Middle School, Tezu West, Amik Matai Vidya Mandir (Arunachal Vikas Parishad) and VKV Tezu studying from Class VI to VIII.

The camp was inaugurated on 2nd October, Gandhi Jayanti by the Chief Guest cum Resource Guest Dr Shakuntala Gogoi, the Senior Veterinary Officer, Tezu. She motivated and guided the participants how to unfold the personality and manifest to others through her delivered her lecture on the given topic. There were other activities like yoga session, shibir geet, mental ability test, krida yoga, craft activities, story session and group discussion on the given topics in the shibir from which the children got benefitted in learning those essential components of personality development. The two other guest resources Sri Sunil Kumar, PGT English, Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Tezu & Dr Sukanta Kr Pradhan, Asstt. Professor, IGG College; Tezu credited their deliberations in the young minds in trying to infuse the intent personality of Swami Vivekananda & Mahatama Gandhi.

There were 95 student participants in the camp in three different schools. There was also a provision for selecting and adjudging the best three places in competitions in the given activities.
