Guru Purnima Celebrated - VKV Tezu

VKV Tezu celebrated Guru Purnima in the school premise under the guidance and blessing of the local priest in a befitting manner along with five other members of Mishmi community in the presence of all the staff (teaching & non teaching) adhering the SOPs of COVID – 19.

The programme started with the chanting of three Omkaras, followed by Aikyamantra. Principal VKV Tezu felicitated Sri Kruleso Ngadong ji (Lohit Dist Bibhag Pramukh) and Sri Soloi Ngadong (Local Mishmi Pujari) delivering a brief introduction about Guru Purnima. Sri Uttam Kr Patel, teacher of VKV Tezu highlighted the significance of the day where he told about Guru Purnima, its age old tradition and importance behind its celebration.

Sri Soloi Ngadongji performed the puja of Amik Matai in local tradition way followed by chanting of local traditional hymns. After the Puja, Sri Soloi Ngadng ji hoisted a Mishmi flag in our school to mark the end of celebration. After that Shanti mantra was chanted followed by Kendra Prayer.

Matri Puja Conducted - VKV Tezu

VKV Tezu conducted this years’ Matri Puja for the outgoing students of Class-X in the school prayer hall on 12th February 2020 at 10:00 am with an objective of enhancing the bond between mother and child.

         At the outset, the students washed the feet of their mothers with water in a holistic way in front of their prayer hall. The Principal of the school, Sri Suresh Kr Behera extended a hearty welcome to the parents of about 29 students of Class-X (both mother and father), well-wishers and teachers. On this auspicious occasion, Sri P.K. Pandey, ClC (Lohit) and Guest Speaker Smt. Sailu Bellai, Former Principal of VKV Tezu highlighted the importance of Matri Puja, emphasizing the emotional bonding between mother and child and the journey of mother in up-bringing of their child right from her womb to the present day. She portrayed Mother as the real God quoting ‘’Matri Devo Bhava’’ and how their blessings will have a positive impact in their life, which will help them to choose right path in their life. Sri P.K. Pandey, spoke to the students and parents about the significance of this unique puja. In his speech he explained the role and journey of mother, followed by the instructions for beginning of Matri Puja. The complete puja was conducted as per the guidelines. The whole puja was performed from the inner-core of their heart.

            As a part of the programme, parents and students were allowed to share their experience in a feedback session, where a mother mentioned that she was highly influenced by the  way this unique puja was performed, in turn become emotional that for the first time her child touched her feet. She wished all the students best of luck for their forthcoming Board examination.

            Another mother expressed her happiness highlighting them lucky enough to be a part of VKV family and elated to see the sanskar of VKVs and thanked all the teachers and School for giving a platform to the students so that they can explore themselves through the all-round development of the students. One of the parents called up on the students to inculcate the values that imbibed from VKV and teaching of Swamiji in their life. The students became emotional and shared their inner feelings for their mother.

            Sri S. R. Chowdhury (Class Teacher of Class X) also addressed them and extended wishes for the forthcoming CBSE Board Examination. The programme concluded with the best wishes from Parents and teachers followed by Shanti Mantra

National Youth Day Celebrated - VKV Tezu

To commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, maker of Modern India, National Youth Day is celebrated at VKV Tezu with great joy, enthusiasm on 12th January with the primary aim of sensitizing the students, parents & guests about the philosophies, principles and ideas of Swami Vivekananda and Vivekananda Kendra which works on it.

The Principal welcomed the gathering and threw light upon the achievement of the students in academics and non academics during the session and appealed all the parents and public to continue their support for the growth school.

Sri Uttam Kr Patel, a teacher of the school delivered a speech on the occasion. Swamiji’s birth, childhood days and miraculous incidents, His meeting with Sri Ramkrishna, worshipping Maa  Kali for blessings, paribrajak day, meditation on rock for the mission of His life, participation in the World Parliament of Religion and His love for Bharat Mata, celebration of birth centenary of Swami Vivekananda and erection of Rock Memorial, Entry of Man. Eknathji Ranade and his efforts in uniting people to overcome obstacles for the construction of Memorial, foundation of Vivekananda Kendra- a living memorial, inception of VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh and eventually the 50 years of celebration of Vivekananda Rock Memorial on the theme Ek Bharat Vijaee Bharat and Maha Sampark Karyakarma were the subject s he covered in his speech.

Colonel K S Panigrahy, Commandant, 634 Sata Battery (Indian Army), Shivaji Nagar, Tezu graced the occasion as Chief Guest. On his maiden speech, he expressed his overwhelming experience being the part of this celebration and requested everyone to imbibe the spiritual knowledge given by Swami Vivekananda. One has to be spiritual in his working place and dutiful and doing his work sincerely is his spirituality. An army man has to protect his country, a teacher’s duty is to teach the students and a student’s to read and study. He appreciated the well functioning of the school and the achievement of the students and the school is a platform to showcase the students’ immense talents. At length prizes for proficiency winners were given away by the Chief Guest.

Kids and students performed streaks of cultural events: action rhymes, action songs, talent show, Kheyals (solo classical songs), patriotic group songs, traditional local group dance-Mishmi and Galo, Skits on social message and incident of Swami Vivekananda’s Life & patriotic group dance which were acclaimed by the onlookers.

School Level Science Exhibition Conducted - VKV Tezu

A School Level Science Exhibition was organized at VKV Tezu on Saturday, 23rd November 2019. It was inaugurated by Sri Hage Hassang, the Head Master of Govt. Secondary School, Tezu.

Total 272 students from Class IV to X participated and displayed their innovative talents in a group of 3 members with a total of 92 models.

The key objectives of the topic “Science and Technology for Sustainable Development” are to create awareness for sustainable development of the resource.

Moreover students and escort teacher nearby Government schools and our parents are also present to visit the exhibition and motivate the students.

Sadhana Diwas & Library Week Celebrated - VKV Tezu

The Sadhna Diwas along with Library Week was observed w.e.f. 19th November to 26th November 2019 at the VKV Tezu.

The following activities were taken up during this period:-

  1. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mananiya Eknathji, Sadhna Diwas was observed with flower offering on the portrait of Eknathji, followed by speech from the Principal Sri Suresh Kumar Behera and students.
  2. On the same day, Library Week was begun in which various activities like mass reading by children of Class III to Class X, book review by students of Class VI to X on every day in the morning assembly.

There was story telling by the students of Class IV based on the books they read. The students of Class V presented extempore speech on incidents of Swami Vivekananda’s life.

  1. Teachers’ Swadhyay on letter sent by Man. Nivedita Didi, All India Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari.
  2. In the evening teachers went for Sampark Programme to spread the message about the concept and construction of the Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari, under “Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat” theme.
