Universal Brotherhood Day Celebrated - VKV Nirjuli

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli celebrated Universal Brotherhood on 11th of September 2020 commemorating historic and epoch-making  speech by Swami Vivekananda in the world’s parliament of religion in Chicago in USA on 11th of September 1893. The day was celebrated amidst the prevailing pandemic situation, following the SOP’s as set by the Govt.

The programe was attended by a host of dignified personalize which includes Sri. KomkarDolum,DC, Capital Complex,  Sri. Jimmy Chiram, SP, Papum Pare, Sri. TanaHali, Hon’ble. MLA ,Doimukh Constituency, Sri. PaiDawe, SahaPrantPramukh Vivekananda Kendra  Arunachal Prant, Dr. JoramBegi, Chief Information Commision, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, PrantSanchalakVifekananda Kendra Arunachal Prant, Sri. TejumPadu, PrantPramukh, Vivekananda  Kendra Arunachal Prant, Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti and few selected parents and students.

The Magnificence of the celebration was enhanced by a host of cultural programmes performed by selected students which include Swamiji’s Chicago Address, Vande Mataram group dance,  interpretation of Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts, solo dance, patriotic song by the Lady teachers of VKV Nirjuli, Speech on “Western Disciples” and Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial by students.

In his welcome speech, Dr. Tejum Paduji explicitly highlighted the glorious 50 years of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the significance of celebrating Universal brotherhood day.

Su.Priyanka Didi, Prakalp Sangathak Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti precisely highlighted the journey of Vivekananda Kendra since its inception and the expansion of its various noble activities in different parts of the country.

Talking about Vivekananda Kendra as spiritually oriented service mission,  Dr. Joram Begiji said that Swami Vivekananda’s  revitalizing Chicago address emphasized the harmony of religious enlightening, the glory of India to the world.

Sri.Pai Dawe, Saha Prant Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra Arunachal Prant exhorted that preserving and promoting our own culture is essential, but at the same time , it is also needed to discard the concept of Supremacy of our religion over the others.

Sri. Jimmy Chiram, SP ,Papum Pare, focused on the need of practicing “tolerance” and “Universal Acceptance” to avert any communal and religious conflicts in the society.

Sri. Komkar Dolum, DC, Capital complex urged everybody to practice Universal Brotherhood through compassion and understanding.

Sri.Tana Hali, Hon’ble MLA ,Doimukh speaking as the chief guest on the occasion advocated that to live happily in the society we must establish peace by rejecting the parochial individual difference. He added that Swamiji’s two powerful words “Sisters” and “brothers” in the world parliament of religion established the concept of Universal brotherhood as a global idea.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

VKV Nirjuli celebrated Rakshabandhan on 3rd August 2020 with traditional fervor and gaiety on the school premises. Prior to the celebration  of the auspicious occasion,  a myriad of activities were designed to angment the grandeur of the program. On the eve of the celebration students were informed and motivated to celebrate the festival by preparing rakhis by their own creative ways and by tying rakhis to their parents and to their siblings and to capture the moment of celebration.

    On the day of Raksha Bandhan celebration an audio clip with a message  of Raksha Bandhan wish to children and parents,  a brief note on the significance of the festival and few elegantly designed Rakshabandhan cards were send to the whatsapp groups of all classes at 6AM in the morning.

    Overwhelming responses from students, celebrating Rakshabandhan at home with parents and siblings and in the neighborhood are received in the forjm of photographs captured at the moment of the celebration.

    On the school premises celebration of Rakshabandhan started at 11AM with the participation of 43 residential staff members. Rakhis were  prepared by the residential staff members.

     To mark the celebration Rakhis were tied to the portrait of Swamiji and AUM by Priyanka Didi and Manju Dixit Didi. Rakhis were also tied to the peepal and banayan trees in front of the school by all the members. During the celebration, Shri. Gyaneswar Mishra and Priyanka Didi highlighted the significance of Rakshabandhan.

   Amidst the pandemic situation the school significantly endeavored to reach out to the children in various endearing ways consolidating the understanding of the need of strengthening the relationship.

Guru Purnima Celebrated - VKV Nirjuli

 In keeping with the tradition of revering our gurus for their invaluable contributions in shaping the minds and characters of young people, VKV Nirjuli celebrated the auspicious occasion Gurupurnima on July 5th 2020 from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. 35 staff members and 8 Arun Jyoti karya kartas attended the program.

   The program started with the discussion of the letter on Guru Purnima from Man. Nivedita Didi to sensitize the place of gurus in our Indian culture and their unfathomable role not only for the nation but for the entire humanity. Shri M.R Lalu gave a brief significance of the day emphasizing on our rich cultural heritage of ‘Guru Shishya Parampara’, which have been an epitome for the world for thousands of years. Citing the example of Mahabharata and Gita , he established a compendium on the legacy of the kernel of Guru in Indian culture. Shri Krishna Kumar Mishra delivered a speech on Veda Vyasa and narrated short stories of Guru Vakti.

 The vibrant Guru bhajans that were sung by the teachers and Donyi Polo Prayer song created a perfect ambience of the celebration followed by “Nirvanastakam”. The program was summed up by singing Kendra prayer

5th International Yoga Day at VKV Nirjuli

International Yoga Day 21st June 2019 was celebrated by the students and teacher at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli  to imbibe the value of discipline and aware the students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration with great enthusiasm .The gracious presence of Su. Aparna Palkar Secretary VKVAPT, Sri S.C. Dixit Education Officer VKVAPT created the ambiance of the program more vibrant. The students got the chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body. VKV Nirjuli NSS unit under the program officer Sri Sanjay Kr. Yadav played the key role to emblazon the program of the day.  Sri Krishna Kumar Mishra, VKV Nirjuli addressed the assembly about the importance of yoga to keep us physically fit, mentally healthy and spiritually awakened to say no to ailments. He reckoned many benefits of early rising and practicing yoga. Speaking to the assembly he also pointed out that how yoga helps students to memorize something and understand a concept and its context. The huge assembly of 1126 students of classes IV- XII with the teachers performed Yoga between 9 am to 10 am. Warm up excercises were taken and Different sitting and standing asanas like Vrikshasana, Uttaanaasana, Trikonaasana, Bhadrasana, Shashankaasana, Bhujangasana, Pawana Muktaasana, importance of these were explained simultaneously ,Yoga practices finally ended with Pranayama and meditation.

   Making the day more informative and sensational the school has kept some house competitions like Speech, Quiz and Drawing. The classes VI-VII group A and IX-XII group B participated in quiz and speech on the theme ‘An invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition’. The primary students IV-V participated in drawing competition on the theme ‘Yoga and Daily Life’. The celebration was concluded with synchronized recitation of shlokas and shanti mantra.


World Environmental Day Observed - VKV Nirjuli

We are glad to inform you that VKV Nirjuli NSS Unit observed world Environment day. In school Assembly a speech was delivered by students of class X on the theme "Air pollution & importance of conservation of environment for future generations.
A plantation program was organised in which NSS volunteers actively participated. The program was initiated by Principal, VKV Nirjuli, Smt. KK Reena alongwith programme officer Sri. Sanjay Kumar Yadav.
