India’s festivals reflect the country’s rich culture abundance. Breaking the humdrum of daily routine, these festival bring with them a wave of excitement, happiness and hope even in the Pandemic of Covid-19. Raksha Bandhan day was celebrated in VKV Longding with full of enthusiasm and it spirit.
On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Sri Nitya Prakash Tiwari, Hindi teacher spoke the importance of Raksha Bandhan celebration. The important points of his speech are :
All the teaching, non teaching staff and staff children tied to Rakhi each other. Rakhi were tied to the panel of Swami Vivekananda and Ma. Eknathji.

A master organizer, the spirit behind Swami Vivekananda Rock memorial, the founder of Vivekananda Kendra and the perennial motivational spirit behind the Karyakartas who work for the welfare of humanity, Ma. Eknathjis’ Punya Tithi was observed in VKV Longding.
Our school programme started with Ekya mantra followed by the Patriotic Song on Eknathji by Smt. Minaksi Sinha. The brief life sketch of Ma. Eknathji was narrated by K.V Dineshan, Principal of VKV Longding. The important points are:-
Finally , the staff members of VKV Longding paid the floral tribute to the photograph of Manneeneya Eknathji Ranade followed by tribute to Eknathji by singing a song of “Vandana Abhinandana Hey Dev Shata Shata Vandana.
School Play ground Total Attendance-15 It was a pleasant morning on the campus on Independence day at VKV Longding which was fully decorated bythe saffron,white and green colours. The morning assembly was held in the school field exactlyat 7.15a.m which was followed by hoisting of the tri-colour flag accompanied by the National Anthem and everyone saluting the National Flag created a different ambience in the premises.During the occasion,principal K.V Dineshan reminded to the staff of the struggle,blood and sacrifices that our freedom fighters did to give us this Independence of life. During this occasion,teachers of VKV Longding sung different patriotic song.students of different classes participated in online competitions like Role play of Indian freedom fighter and singing National Anthem with family.The students with family sung The National Anthem and uploaded in the official site.

Guru Purnima event was celebrated on 23rd July 2021 at VKV Longding with full of enthusiasm. This day is celebrated to all over in India with the objectives of creating awareness among the students and teachers about Sanatana dharma of our nation and its rich cultural heritage of “Guru- Shishya Parampara”. It was celebrated to make the people to understand and realize the importance of guru in their lives. The programme started with three Omkaras followed with Ekya Mantra. The sequence of the programme as follows:

The Philosophy of Swami Vivekananda continues to be a great source of inspiration to the youth of our nation. In order to offer our tribute to the great patriotic saint , the Longding Nagar Samiti Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti ,VKV alumni Longding and VKV Longding had jointly conducted the programme of National Youth Day celebration on 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12th January 2021 at VKV Longding.
The school has organized online quiz contest on the life of Swami Vivekananda for the students and well-wishers of Vivekananda Kendra at . The offline programme was started in the school assembly hall by the lighting of lamp by Shri Manhang Loham ( Sah,Nagar Sanchalak,VKAJ) and Shri Changwang Wangsu ( Nagar Pramukh,VKAJ) .The programme ahead with welcome address delivered by Shri KV Dineshan , Principal VKV Longding which was directly followed by the felicitation to the winners of the Arise , Awake competition ( Online quiz for the students of class 9 to 12 ) organized by Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti on 4th October 2020. The prizes were given away by Shri Manhang Loham ( Sah Nagar Sanchalak VKAJ) .
After the distribution of prizes, the programme proceeded with a lecture delivered by Shri Changwang Wangsu (Nagar Pramukh,VKAJ) on the importance of the day. In the continuation of Shri Manhang Loham (Manhang Loham ( Sah Nagar Sanchalak VKAJ)) had also delivered a full lecture on the contribution of Swami Vivekananda to the Nation and the World. Bharat Mata arati was sang by all participants by standing up to pay homage to motherland to instile the feeling of patriotism in the mind of the people present .This was followed by the proposing of vote of thanks by Shri Kailem Wangpan, ( Sah Nagar Sanchalak VKAJ) followed by chanting of Shanti Mantra . There are around 30 numbers of participants attended in the programme.

The welcome and adoration that was given to the speech of Swami Vivekananda during the parliament of Religions at Chicago made it clear that world is in need of the message of Mother India. Swami Vivekananda addressed the audience as ‘Sisters and Brothers’ it had an electrifying effect on them. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Longding celebrated Universal Brotherhood day with a great enthusiasm. The programme started with 3 Omkaras followed by Ekya Mantra. Sri Nitya Prakash tiwari ( Hindi teacher) welcomed one and all present in the programme . Sri Ram Bahadur Chetry( English teacher) gave the importance of the day. He narrated the beautiful story of the life of Swami Vivekananada. He highlights the Chicago address of Swami Vivekananda in America. Sri Nitya Prakash Tiwari (Hindi teacher) played one act play based on the life Incident of Swami Vivekananda . During this occasion Smt. Minakshi Sinha sang a patriotic song( Swamiji ki Jivan gata).To mark on this special day the school authority has conducted online competition like Chicago address( local dialect) and drawing competition on the image of Swami Vivekananda. Whereas KM. Adam Wangpan (Class I) Km. Senkhow Wangcha (class III) and KM. Nikam Rangkham (Class III) secured 1st , 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. Sri K.V Dineshan gave the blessing words.
