
To mark the celebration of International Yoga Day 2025, an outreach program was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, at Greenview School, Namsai on 21st June 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga, in alignment with this year's theme of promoting wellness and mindfulness through ancient Indian traditions.
The program began with a welcome speech by the Principal of Greenview School, who extended a warm greeting to the team from VKV Namsai and the gathered students and staff. The Principal highlighted the significance of yoga in modern education and praised the collaboration between the two schools.
Sri Niraj Dubey, a teacher from VKV Namsai, delivered an informative and inspiring talk on the importance and history of International Yoga Day, explaining how yoga contributes to a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
This was followed by an engaging demonstration of yoga asanas performed by the students of VKV Namsai. The session included basic stretching, breathing exercises (pranayama), and a sequence of postures (asanas) such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, and Shavasana. The demonstration was not only visually impactful but also instructional, as the students and staff of Greenview School actively followed along and participated under the guidance of the VKV team.
The enthusiastic involvement of the participants made the session highly interactive and beneficial. It created an atmosphere of positivity, calmness, and collective learning.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks and closing remarks by the Principal of Greenview School, who appreciated the VKV Namsai team for their efforts and encouraged all attendees to continue practicing yoga regularly for a healthier lifestyle.
