National Mathematics Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, on 22 December 2025. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of mathematics and to pay tribute to the great mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan.

The programme began with a welcome speech by Sri Shanmukhan. P, Principal, VKV Namsai, who motivated students to develop logical thinking and an interest in mathematics. This was followed by Vivekvani, presented by Kr Sufa Seng Manchey, which inspired students with valuable thoughts and ideals.

A skit was performed by Km Emerald and the party, conveying mathematical concepts interestingly and entertainingly. After that, Kr Kovingta displayed various mathematical shapes, helping students virtually understand geometry.

The programme also included a declamation by Kr Hernan and Kr Pratyush on great mathematicians Srinivasa Ramanujan and Brahmagupta, highlighting their valuable contributions to the field of mathematics. A graceful dance performance by Km Ganuspriya added colour and joy to the celebration.

The celebration concluded with appreciation for the participants and a message on the relevance of mathematics in daily life.
