VISIT TO EAGLE NEST

Students of class-VII and Teachers visited NATURE INTERPRETATION CENTRE at Ramalingam ,a part of Eagle nest wildlife sanctuary in West Kameng District,Arunachal Pradesh. The team comprises 40 members actively participated in the discussions,observations of different species of birds,plants and animals and games on food chain,food web, ecosystem e.t.c. Sri Millo Tasser,IFS, D.F.O.Rupa  Forest Division arranged resource persons to educate the students about the importance of protecting the rare species of birds,animals found only in this region  of our country.All the students successfully completed their project works.

MATRI PUJA ON 29TH JANUARY 2019

Matri puja for class-x students was conducted in VKV,Shergaon on 29th January 2019 with full of devotion and reverence to Mothers .14 (Fourteen only) students out of 25 (Twenty five) performed the puja .Sri Krishna kumarji,VKVAPT,Dibruga conducted the ceremony with brief explanation about the meaning of each Sanskrit slokas taken from Vedas and books of Shankaracharya  while conducting the programme.He also quoted suitable anecdotes from real life happenings that every one come across during his/her lifespan .He emphasized the need  of certain values , the  youngsters must cultivate during his/her schooling as a part of education.It is very much necessary  for peace, happy  and harmonious life in individual level as well as collective level at home, community and nation at large.

Nature and Wild Life Education Camp - VKV Shergaon

A three days  NATURE AND WILD LIFE EDUCATION CAMP  , a residential  camp was attended by students of class-XI (Science) and Sri Karnalal Thatal,Teacher at Eaglenest wild life sanctuary from 5th to 7th October 2018.

Camp participants were taught about various species of vegetation, Birds, Mammals, Amphibians and lizards, snakes and Butterflies and Moth.

The bird and other wild life based eco-tourism in Eagle nest and the adjoining community forests are a unique conservation initiative that is entirely community owned and run. It is one of the successful community –based eco-tourism  programmes in the entire country.

Independence Day Celebrated - VKV Shergaon

72ND INDEPENDENCE DAY was celebrated in a spirit of patriotic feeling and happiness by the staff and students of VKV,SHERGAON by hoisting the NATIONAL FLAG in the school  and performing various programmes in  the general public ground at Shergaon. The followings were the main attractions during the celebration.PRABHATBHERI BY THE STUDENTS AND STAFF .2. MARCH PAST BAND  DISPLAY  4. POLE MALKHAMB  5. SCIENCE EXHIBITION AND PATRIOTIC SONGS. Students also opened a book stall for exhibition cum sale (Books published by Ramakrishna Mission and Vivekananda Kendra).

 Rakshabandhan was celebrated - VKV Shergaon

Rakshabandhan was celebrated by tying the RAKHI each other with the spirit of UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD. Staff and students visited the neighborhood carrying the message of unity, harmony and brotherhood.
