Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister, which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. 
On 9th August 2025, VKV Balijan celebrated the occasion with great joy and enthusiasm. The program started with the lighting of the lamp by ZPM Smt. Tem Pika followed by an invocation. SSG members and 4 Sankal pramukhs were also present. Then Principal VKV BALIJAN formally welcomed everyone. Principal, SSG members, all teaching and non-teaching staff, Sankul Pramukhs, Gana Pramukhs, and Saha Gana Pramukhs, along with family and students offering the Rakhi to Om, Ramakrishna, Maa Sarada, and Swamiji. After offering the Rakhi to Om, Ramakrishna, Maa Sarada, and Swamiji, all SSG members, Sankul Pramukhs, Students, Teachers, Gana Pramukhs, and Saha Gana Pramukhs also tied Rakhi to each other. The importance of the day was well described by Chulvi Nalo, a student of Class IX.   Sri. Nabam Hachang, sir, an active member of the SSG group, delivered an important speech of celebration of Rakhi. He also emphasised the importance of bonding between the students of our school especially the hostellers.
