Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Oyan has achieved a notable national-level milestone with the selection of Kr. Rubu Daniel (Class VIII) in the Grand Finale of _Big Bang 2026 – The Great Rotary Innovation Challenge, where he was placed among the Top 20 Best Innovative Projects in India.
Big Bang 2026 is a prestigious national-level innovation competition supported by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore West, iExplore Foundation, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and NITI Aayog, Government of India. Out of 700+ project submissions from 24 states, only 162 projects were shortlisted for the Grand Finale, and from these, the Top 20 teams were formally recognized for excellence in innovation, impact, and presentation.
The Grand Finale was held on 24–25 January 2026 at the National Model School, Peelamedu, Coimbatore (TN), where students showcased their projects before eminent jurors, scientists, and industry experts.
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Oyan is the only school from the North Eastern region of India to find a place among the Top 20 innovations in the Grand Finale.
