ATL, abbreviated as Atal tinkering Lab an initiative taken by central government to create an environment of scientific temperament, innovation and creativity amongst students. After getting the final nod of installation of ATL, a 3 day workshop was conducted in the premises of VKV, Ziro.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh had observed, “INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY” along with its 402 students (210 boys and 192 girls) and 18 number of staff on 21st of June 2018 with the common objective of achieving “Healthy India; Wealthy India” for an enhancement of within oneself. The following practices were performed by the children of this Vidyalaya. The Standing Asanas like Thadasana, Vakrasana, Vrukshashana, Padahasthasana and Trikonasana, the Sitting Asanas like Vajrasana, Bhadrasana, Ushtasana, Sheshakasana and Pachimothasa, the Lying Position Asanas like Makarasana, Bhujangasana, Salasana, Uhthanapadasana and Ardhalasana along with Savasana, Breathing Exercises like Anulome – Vilome, Kapalpathi, Sithili, Brahmari followed with Dhyanam and Shanti Mantra were demonstrated.

Guru Purnima Celebrated in our vidyalaya with intense fervour and enthusiasm. Shri Mahesh Pandey, Teacher narrated the importance of Guru in present time. Guru Purnima is one such day when the Guru or the teacher is worshiped for the work they have done for their disciples. Every year in the month of Ashadh this festival is celebrated. It is actually a combination of two Sanskrit words “Gu” and “Ru”. “Gu” in Sanskrit means ignorance or darkness and “Ru” means the remover of the darkness. Basically the person who is responsible for removing the darkness is known as Guru.
Letter of Man. Nivedita Didi, Vice President was read. Watering the roots is important. Importance of Samay Niyojan and Vaani Samyam was explained to the students. All the Teachers & Students practiced Kendra Prayer.

IYD Celebrated in our Vidyalaya. All the students and teachers
