Participated In State level Kho-Kho championship - VKV Tafrogam

State level Kho-Kho championship for u-17 Girl’s and Boy’s was organized by Kho-Kho association of Arunachal Pradesh was held at Outdoor Stadium, Pasighat, from 4th December to 12th December. Total 29 teams from 20 districts have participated in the event. VKV Tafrogam Girl’s Kho-Kho team consisting 12 players along with their coach Su. Rumi Khakhlari also participated in the championship representing Lohit District. The opening ceremony was on 4th December at 10.30 AM.  The chief guest of the ceremony was Eng. Taba Tedir, honourable Education Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, who is also the president of Kho-Kho Association of Arunachal Pradesh. Encouraging the youths to make career out of sports, he said that meritorious kho-kho players would also be extended all facilities, like incentives, scholarship and job quota by the government as given to sportspersons from other disciplines. General Secretary of Kho-Kho Associatio of Arunachal Pradesh, Adv. Puto Bui spoke about the importance of games and sports.  Likabali based 56 infantry division GOC Maj. General Ajay Verma declared the championship open, advised the players to play the sport in a friendly but competitive manner, maintaining the spirit of sportsmanship.

East Siang and Lohit clinched the men’s and women’s titles respectively in the state level Kho-Kho championship.

East Siang beat East Kameng by single point in the men’s final and VKV Tafrogam representing Lohit beat lower Subansiri by 13 points to clinch the title. The final was on 12th December, 2019.

The winning teams will represent the state at the National School Games under aegis of School Games Federation.

Attending the closing ceremony, Education Secretary Niharika Rai said that the enthusiasm shown by young players will go a long in promoting kho kho and other indigenous games and sports. She commended the efforts of the Kho-Kho Association of Arunachal Pradesh (KKAP) and its East Siang district unit for promotion of the traditional sport in the state.
              The Education Secretary Niharika Rai encouraged the players to take up kho-Kho, informing that the sport is recognized by the state government and the Ministry of Sports and YouthAffairs.
              Later, she gave away the prizes to winners and runners up.
              East Siang DC Dr Kinny Singh also lauded the sportsman spirit displayed throughout the tournament by the participants from 21 districts. She assured district administration’s support in conducting such event in the future..
              KKIP general secretary Puto Bui emphasized on the need for promotion of kho kho and other indigenous sports. He appealed to the state government to take initiative for revival and popularize indigenous sports

Parents Meet Conducted - VKV Tafrogam

Students of class V came dressed up in their traditional dress welcomed the parents with Aarti plate.

Programme began with innvocation by the students of class V. Principal  welcomed the gathering giving the importance of parents meeting. Parents and teachers share the responsibility of making the child a good citizen.

It was followed by the class teacher report on the academic performance of the students.Efforts taken by the teachers to bring the best result.

A beautiful show was presented by the students of class IV ,V depicting their talent. The programme got lot of appreciation from the parents.

Respected Sri.Pradeep Kr Pandey ,CIC of Lohit cluster spoke on the topic"Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat".He spoke on Maha Sampark program of VK on the occasion of 50th year celebration of Vivekananda Kendra.

Parents were invited on the stage for their feedback and suggestions.

Smt.Ijum Doye Bui,mother of Km.Jiry Bui,CDPO,Daporijo was full of enthusiasm.Being the first meeting she praised the work of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas.Dr. M.Loyi,father of Km.Kayum Loyi,class V told that definitely he will convey the message to his friends (parents) about Maha Sampark Abhiyan.Smt. Nandita Mungkung, mother of Km.Nilufa Singho,class V who is a karyakarta of Arun Jothi at Bordumsa asked if it is possible to record the dance with soundbox or casette.. State level Gita Chanting Competition Conducted - VKV Tafrogam

Gita Jayanti is the birthday of Bhagvad Gita, the sacred text of Hindus. It's celebrated on the Shukla Ekadashi, 11th day of waxing moon of Margashirsha month of the Hindu calendar. It is believed the "Bhagavad Gita" was revealed to Arjuna by Krishna Himself in the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

VKV Tafrogam celebrated Gita Jayanti by organising State Level Gita Chanting competition venue on 8th Dec 2019.6 schools from 3 clusters Lohit,Tirap and Siang cluster participated.

Boys team from Tezu,Roing,Kharsang, and oyan and girls team from Tafrogam Jirdin and kharsang participated.

Program began at 9:15 am in the presence of Sri Krishna Kumar,Member VKV APT and Sri.Pradeep Kr Pandey,CIC Lohit clusterq

The program started from a Gita aarti  song presented by VKV Tafrogam students under the guidance of Su.Kashmiri Kotoky,Music teacher.Then the importance of the jayanti was explained by our Sri.Krishna Kumar sir,Member VKV APT.

In Group C VKV Tafrogam secured the 1st position and VKV Jirdin secured 2nd position in Girls

From boys 1st position was taken VKV Tezu boys followed by VKV oyan boys

In Group D  VKV Jirdin secured 1st position followed by VKV Tafrogam who secured 2nd position.

In boys VKV oyan took the 1st position followed by VKV Roing at 2nd position.

Sri.Pradeep Kr Pandey,Cluster In charge gave the vote of thanks and concluded the program.

Prize distribution was done by our guest Sri.Bapenlu Kri, Executive Engineer,Urban development and alumini of VKV Tafrogam. Program ended with Shanti Mantra.

Library Week Conducted - VKV Tafrogam

Library week was observed from 19th November to 25th November 2018 at VKV Tafrogam. It was inaugurated with the presentation of “Book review” in the morning assembly. 14 students from all the classes took part in it. From the teachers Su.Siva Pandiya Jothi D.C also gave a book review. It was announced to donate a number of useful books for the library by the principal. Su.Moromi Buragohain,Computer science teacher donated 8 books for the library. Library service was made available to the students from 10am to 12 pm  on holidays and 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm in the evening hours during the week. Library was kept opened during the school intervals.


Participated In National Level Kho-Kho Tournment - VKV Tafrogam

We went to Haryana on 5th November, 2019 for participating in CBSE National Kho-kho tournament organized by Hindu senior secondary school, Hansi, Hissar. We went by train, nam- Abadh Assam Express from New Tinsukia to Jind, Haryana. We reached Jind on 7th November at 8.00 PM. After reaching Jind school vehicle came to pick us to the school.On 8th November, 2019, remaining teams have reported and we have done our registration. Opening ceremony of the tournament was on 09/11/2019 at 10.30 AM. Mr. Dharini Arun, joint secretary and head COE, CBSE was the chief guest of the programme. Mr. Santosh KumarSingh, CBSE observer, Sachin Pal, technical officer, Mr. Virender Sangwan, S.P, Hansi Police, Subhash Verma, block education officer, Hansi were also present in the programme.Total 92 teams from different clusters including 9 foreign teams were present in the ceremony. Our team, 11 students along with coach Su. Rumi Khakhlari and manager Su. Dhan Kunwar also participated in the ceremony. After opening ceremony was over, competition started. We had our first match on 10/11/2019 against Vivekananda Senior Secondary School, Sirsa, Haryana. They defeated us.2nd match we had on 11/11/2019 against Vikash Public School, Bargarh, Odisha and we won the match.Then our 3rd match was on 12/11/2019 against Nalgonda Public School, Telengana and they defeated us.Our 4th match against Millenium Public School, Pune, Maharashtra was on 13/11/2019 and that also we lost. On the same day, evening we had our 5th match against Sunrise Public School, Abu Dhabi which we won. As we lost 3 matches, we were out of the tournament. Even we lost it, we learned a lot of things which will help us to improve our game for the next.On 15th November, we collected certificates from the office and left for Delhi. As our train was on 16/11/2019, we stayed there for one day in Assam Guest House, Chanakyapuri along with Montfort School Guwahati participants. Next day we started our return journey from Old Delhi station to New Tinsukia station and we reached in school on 19/11/2019 at 9.30 AM.
