Republic Day celebration at VKV Longding

Along with the rest of India, VKV Longding celebrated the 71th republic day at school and General ground Longding. The Programme started with the Procession from the school at 7am and culminated at school after covering 2km distance away from school. The principal Sri K.V Dineshan hoisted the National amidst an Enchanting rendition of the National Anthem. After the school programme, all the students and teacher proceeded to general Ground Longding

The celebration at Longding was marked by a beautiful cultural programme showcased by the students of various school, Kendriya Vidyalaya,  J.N.V, Don Bosco, Government schools and other private school. Among which the Nrith Natika performed by our class one students was appreciated by all and secured 2nd prize in the cultural events. The Wancho dance performed by our class III students got the consolation prize. There were around 4000 spectators witnessed the programme.

During the occasion Sri Ngamqang Wangham chairman VKV Alumni, Longding district unit donated one set of sound system to VKV, Longding in the presence of Honourable Deputy Commissioner Longding Smt. Chesta Yadav, IAS. The D.C also handed over Rs.5000 cash prize and along with Merit certificate to the 2nd prize winner of our school cultural event. The programme at General Ground concluded at 1pm.
