Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi Celebrations - VKV Ziro

 

 

The programme was organized in Assembly Ground of VKV, Ziro, wherein the stage was made locally involving hosteller boys. The programme was started at 10.30 AM and ended at 12.15 PM. Sri. Pisa Kachi, District Treasury Officer, Lower Subansiri District, Ziro, Government of Arunachal Pradesh had graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. There were 297 participants taken part in it. Their classification is as follows.

  3. Number of teachers from nearby Government Schools 05 Teachers
  4. Number of parents attended 39 Parents
  5. Number of Teaching Staff 15 Teachers

Particulars of Program:

                Mangalacharan was led by the students of Classes – IV-VI Girls (Hostellers). Sri. K. Jaisankar, Principal, VKV, Ziro welcomed the gathering after felicitating the guest with and by the parents. In his welcome address, he shared about Vivekananda Kendra & its Motto of Service, purpose of knowledge and its importance, Think locally; Act globally, Service and Renunciation and Role VKVs in shaping oneself. Sri. Mayazhagan, A, Teacher, VKV, Ziro threw light on importance of the day. In his deliberation, he mentioned about Brief History of Swamiji’s Birth and His family background, Importance of Spirituality in shaping one’s life, His qualities like Patriotism, Zeal, Conviction, Determination, etc., and the power of youth and importance of channelizing their energy. Sri. Pisa Kachi, District Treasury Officer, Lower Subansiri District, Ziro, Government of Arunachal Pradesh had given away the proficiency prizes of Academic Session-2018-19 to our students and the winners of Essay Writing Competitions conducted for Government School students.

Cultural Programs:

                There were four selected displays of cultural programs on stage in front of the gathering. The programmes displayed are

  1. Role Play on Eknathji and Vivekananda Rock Memorial (Students of Classes - III-X)
  2. Traditional Dress Show with the specification of Importance of specific ethnic groups and their cultural practices (Students of Classes - I-IV)
  3. Thematic Mock Show on Global Warming (Students of Classes – III-X)
  4. Display on Asanas [12 Asanas – Standing -04; Sitting-04 and Supine Position-04] by the students of VI-VIII (Girls-Hostellers) demonstrated with perfection

                Sri. Pisa Kachi, District Treasury Officer, Lower Subansiri District, Ziro, Government of Arunachal Pradesh has delivered his keynote address in front of the gathering after the cultural show. The excerpts of his speech are given below.

  • Lived for poor and downtrodden
  • Swamiji – A True Patriotic Monk with zeal of pure Patriotism
  • He was a man of principles, conviction, perseverance, determination, willpower and discipline
  • Discipline alone can make a man perfect
  • Recalled his childhood days of innocence, poverty, love and affection for parents and happiness
  • Briefed about his school days at VKVs, Sher, Balijan and Jairampur
  • Remembered all his teachers and their contributions in shaping him
  • Emphasized students to be disciplined in their later life too
  • Explained Guru Bhakti through the story of Ekalavya and Dronacharya
  • Specified the importance of responsibilities of students
  • Requested the students to be responsible to keep up the spirit of nationalism
  • Shared about the Swamiji’s contributions to the wellbeing of youth
  • The act of politeness will bring happiness to one’s life and give meaning to one’s existence

 

Sri. Pisa Kachi was kind enough to facilitate safe drinking water for students of VKV, Ziro by donating four (4) units of RO filters with all accessories. Sri. Laxman Kisan Meshram, Teacher, VKV, Ziro thanked the gatherings. The programme was coordinated by Sri. Vibuti Prakash Mishra and Smt. Bullo Ampi, Teachers of our Vidyalaya. The celebration ended with Shanti Mantra and followed with light refreshment.
