Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli, celebrated Library Week with great enthusiasm from 19th to 26th November 2025. The celebration aimed at nurturing good reading habits among students, helping them appreciate diverse genres of literature, and encouraging them to express their thoughts creatively.
Throughout the week, students enthusiastically took part in a variety of engaging activities connected to books and literature. These activities enriched their abilities to think critically, express creatively, communicate confidently, and appreciate cultural diversity. One of the most meaningful features of this year’s celebration was the Daily Book Donation Drive. Students and teachers wholeheartedly contributed books from their personal collections to strengthen the school library. The remarkable response resulted in a total of 180 books being donated, reflecting the deep commitment of Vidyalaya towards promoting reading and education.
The week concluded with a graceful Valedictory Ceremony on 26th November 2025 at 10:30 AM. The school was privileged to welcome Padma Shri Sri Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi, a distinguished writer from Arunachal Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. His motivating words, rich with wisdom and experience, added immense value to the event and left a lasting impression on the students.
Across the week, students actively participated in various competitions and presentations, showcasing exceptional talent, creativity, and enthusiasm. The Library Week celebration successfully fulfilled its purpose of promoting a vibrant reading culture, recognizing young literary talents, and inspiring students to understand and embrace the transformative power of books and libraries in their educational journey.

(A One-Day Leadership Programme for Class IX & X Students)

Objectives of the Programme:
The programme was guided by three primary objectives. Concentration and Memory Development aimed to help students strengthen mental focus, overcome distractions, and channel energy productively. Life Goals and Leadership Training sought to enable students to reflect on their future, identify their inner potential, and cultivate qualities of leadership such as decision-making, sacrifice, and conviction. Inter-community and Organisational Connect was designed to encourage teamwork, bonding, and a sense of responsibility towards the larger community.
Beyond these stated goals, the programme also sought to inculcate values from Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in day-to-day life. It aimed to promote physical, mental, and emotional balance through yoga and games, provide a platform for critical reflection on social issues, and strengthen the spirit of unity, cultural identity, and national pride.
The programme was conceived with the belief that today’s youth are the torchbearers of tomorrow’s society. By nurturing discipline, moral strength, unity, and clarity of purpose, this programme sought to prepare young minds to become leaders who can illuminate society through character and service.

Key Learnings & Outcomes:
We believe that our students have developed self-confidence, adaptability, humility, and a spirit of teamwork. They must have understood the value of sacrifice, moral strength, and service to others. They were engaged in critical reflection on societal issues and linked Swami Vivekananda’s ideas to present realities. The event fostered unity across communities, genders, and backgrounds, preparing youth for leadership roles. The students have realised that true leadership is not about power but about responsibility, character, and collective progress.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli, celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11th September 2025 with great devotion and enthusiasm, marking the 132nd anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893. The celebration witnessed the gracious presence of distinguished dignitaries, the active participation of students, and the wholehearted involvement of parents and teachers, making the event a memorable and inspiring one.

The Raksha Bandhan Celebration of 2025 witnessed an unprecedented scale of participation, integrating the school celebration at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Nirjuli with a vast community outreach program across 31 sankuls. This celebration reinforced cultural preservation, family bonding, community unity, and the spiritual essence of the festival, creating a lasting cultural and social impact that reached 459 participants across multiple locations, demonstrating the power of coordinated cultural initiatives in preserving traditional values while fostering modern educational excellence.
School Celebration
On August 9, 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Nirjuli celebrated Raksha Bandhan with remarkable enthusiasm and devotion, creating an atmosphere that fostered unity, love, and deep pride in cultural heritage among students and staff. The programme was meticulously designed to blend tradition, spiritual values, and the sacred bond of protection between brothers and sisters, serving as a powerful reminder of India's rich cultural tapestry and the enduring values that bind communities together.

The Amrit Parivar Sankul Pramukh Sammelan 2025 was organized by the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust (VKVAPT) at VKV Nirjuli on 5July,  2025. This sammelan brought together Sankul Pramukhs from four VKVs, namely VKV Balijan, VKV Banderdewa, VKV Itanagar, and VKV Nirjuli. The three-hour program was meticulously planned with diverse activities designed to engage participants, share knowledge, and strengthen community bonds.

Ma. Nivedita Bhide Didi, Vice President of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra did the margadarshan. 
Man. Nivedita Didi identified key issues affecting modern families: excessive mobile phone and social media influence on children, reduced family communication, rising selfishness and materialism, declining trust, and increasing divorce rates. She stressed that parents' behavior directly impacts children and emphasized creating safe environments for child development.

Keynote address by Ma. Bhanudhasji, General Secretary of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra. Ma. Bhanudasji focused on the significance of Amrit Parivar in the context of Arunachal Pradesh as well as the nation.
He emphasised on the positive and desirable changes that this will bring not only in the families, but also in the state as a whole, which will make Arunachal an ideal state in the near future. 

The Amrit Parivar Sankul Pramukh Sammelan 2025 at VKV Nirjuli represents a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts of VKVAPT to create an ideal social system. By bringing together families, this event reinforces the organization's commitment to nurturing not just academic excellence but also character development and cultural values.

The Prerana Shibir at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli, was conducted for two days as per our academic calendar, from June 28th to 29th, 2025, to inspire and nurture the overall development of students in Class VII. 

The Inauguration Ceremony 

Dr. Arnab Ghosh, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Zoology, RGU, presided over the ceremony as the chief guest. He was warmly felicitated by the respected Principal of VKV Nirjuli, Sri K. Jaisankar as a token of appreciation for his presence and support. Principal Sir, in his welcome address, focused on the reason for organising the shibir for class VII. The Shibir served as a platform to guide them through these formative years. The shibir also aimed to offer the day scholars a glimpse into the lifestyle of hostellers. Sir concluded by urging the students to "light the lamp of your life," symbolizing the ignition of inner awareness and responsibility.

In the final session, several students shared their personal experiences and reflections on the two-day Shibir. They spoke about the values they imbibed, the skills they developed, and the inspiration they received. Following this, the Shibir Report was presented by Sakshi Vinayak, Sri Rajesh Hazraa. Sri. S.C. Dixit Ji appreciated the active participation of the students and encouraged them to apply the learnings in their daily lives. Smt. K.K. Reena Didi also motivated the students by reminding them of the timeless values of life and wished them success in their future endeavors. The Chief Guest, Dr. Nyelam Nega, SP, ICR, Naharlagun, inspired the students with his address. He emphasized the importance of acquiring essential life skills to lead a successful and meaningful life. Through various anecdotes, he imparted valuable life lessons and reminded the students that children are the true assets of a nation, not material possessions like houses, land, or cars.

The International Day of Yoga 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and spiritual fervor by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Nirjuli, across nine different venues. The event aimed at fostering awareness about the importance of yoga in promoting physical health, mental clarity, emotional stability, and spiritual growth. This year’s celebration was significant for its multi-location outreach, active participation of teachers, and commendable volunteering by students of Classes IX-XI, who played a leading role in organizing and conducting sessions at all venues, emphasizing the theme of the year holistically.
We conducted yoga sessions across multiple venues, including ITBP, Hanuman Mandir, NEEPCO Doimukh, SP Office, NERIST, Arunachal Seva Sangh, VKV Nirjuli (primary campuses), and VKCTE. Each session was led by student volunteers and included practices such as loosening exercises, Surya Namaskar, selected Asanas mentioned below, Pranayama, and meditation. The programs were thoughtfully designed to suit the participants, ranging from police personnel and office-goers to parents, children, and trainee teachers. The serene, disciplined, and spiritually uplifting environment at each venue enriched the experience. Notably, the entire teaching staff participated enthusiastically, and Class XI students took a lead role in organizing and conducting sessions, making the celebration a holistic and inclusive success.
Across all venues, a structured yoga module was followed that included:
•    Loosening Exercises: Gentle movements to warm up the body, increase joint mobility, and improve flexibility.
•    Stretching Exercises: Including Tadasana, Kati Chakrasana, and Triyak Tadasana to improve posture, body alignment, and blood circulation.
•    Surya Namaskar: A dynamic sequence of 12 postures that serves as a full-body workout, enhances stamina, and synchronizes breath with movement.
•    Asanas: Vrikshasana, Vajrasana, Bhujangasana, and Trikonasana to improve concentration, digestion, spinal health, and body balance.
•    Pranayama: Anulom-Vilom and Bhramari Pranayama were practiced for their benefits in calming the mind, reducing stress, enhancing lung capacity, and improving mental focus.
•    Meditation and Sankalpa: Sessions ended with a short meditation and resolution to practice yoga daily, cultivating discipline and mental peace with the sankalpa “Daily Yogaabhyaas”.
The International Day of Yoga 2025 at VKV Nirjuli and different locations was a grand and purposeful event. The celebration extended far beyond the school campus, touching diverse sections of society—from temple devotees and police staff to scientists and future educators. The integration of yoga into community life through student leadership and teacher participation truly embodied the theme " Yoga for One Earth, One Health." The school remains committed to spreading this ancient wisdom as a tool for physical vitality, mental clarity, and national integration.

The celebration of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli, was held with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event highlighted the teachings, values, and contributions of Swami Vivekananda to Indian culture and the world at large. The program saw active participation from students, teachers, and esteemed guests, making it a memorable occasion.
