National Youth Day Celebration at VKV Basar
On 12th January 2025, Vivekananda Kendra vidyalaya Basar had celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (National youth day) with much grandeur and zeal in the Tribal cultural hall Central Kargu Gamge Basar. This day mark as the significant day in the history of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya’s, as it is the birth anniversary of our immortal Swami Vivekananda, the cyclonic monk of India. In total more than 200, students and parents attended the celebration.
Students, parents and well wishers gather from everywhere to witness the cultural program in the said location at 10:00 a.m. As it is customary, the program started with the lightning of the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr. Mary Nanom Taloh ma’am, extra assistant commissioner (EAC), Basar and chanting of three omkaras along with Sahana vavatu.
A warm welcome speech was accorded by our Principal didi to join the great celebration. Students of class VIII performed a beautiful welcome dance followed by the felicitation of chief guest and school supporting member (SSG members) by our Principal didi.
Students beautiful elaborated by the significance of the day. The culture program troops get ready to give a blasting performance on the stage. Traditional local dance, group dance, patriotic song and skit of pictographic memory of Swamiji were performed by our students and students of MMR Gurukul School perform a patriotic song which left the audience gaping with awe and admiration.
Chief Guest, Dr. Mary Nanom Taloh EAC ma’am, in her speech remembers the great soul for his Himalayan effort to restore India's glorious past. She quoted the famous saying of Swami Vivekananda “Arise awake and stop not till the goal is reached”. Ma’am has appealed the students not to limit the scope of education in mere learning of book an educated them that really education is the education which make an individual discipline human being and which continue towards healthy growth of family, society and a nation which ultimately lead to good education and to follow the teaching of Swami Vivekananda.
The program comes to happy conclusion at around 12:00 p.m. by offering flowers on the portrait of Swami Vivekananda and Bharat Mata and by chanting Shanti Mantra.
