Guru Purnima Celebration at VKV Changlang
10th July 2025, Gurupurnima was celebrated at VKV Changlang, in the Prayer Hall. The celebration started at 10.15 with the arrival of the guests. The guest of the day was Guruji and Mataji of Rangfrah Temple, Changlang. Guruji lit the lamp, and the three Om Karas and Shanavawatu were sung by students. 233 students, 14 teachers, 10 SSG and Sankul Family members participated in the programme.
Anchoring of this programme was done by two students of IX Km. Ashung Wangsa and Km Nisha Debnath in Traditional dress. The programme began with a beautiful opening song by class IX students. Principal VKV Changlang Smt.Priyanka Tiwari gave a Welcome Speech to celebrate Gurupurnima. Principal Didi felicitated Guruji and Mataji and received their blessing.
Smt. Durga Tiwari gave a speech on the significance of the day. She talked in detail about why this day is very important and why we celebrate it. She also told two stories related to the topic. Then, Class V hosteller students presented Guru Vandanam in Sanskrit. It was followed by a Classical dance by Km. Milina Changmi of class VI. After this, a Guru Bhajan was presented by the Prayer Group girls. After this, a Skit based on Guru and Shishya was also presented by the class five girls. A beautiful speech was presented on the said topic by Kr.Ayush Kumar of class VII. A Wancho Group dance was also presented by Class IX girls in their traditional dress.
Guru Ji performed the ritual of sprinkling Holy water and told the water is very precious and has the power of removing all ailing illness and negativity. At the end, Guruji gave a speech where he talked about RANG and FRAH. And about some of their beliefs and rituals. At the end, teachers, SSG members, members of the Sankul family took the blessing of Guruji and Mataji, and Prashada was also distributed.
