Our school celebrated Guru Purnima with great devotion and enthusiasm to honour the invaluable role of Gurus and teachers in our lives. The programme was attended by 355 students, 13 teachers, 3 Guru Matas from Rangfarah Temple, Dr. Homtu Macha, and members of the Sankul family.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Guru Matas. The Principal Didi addressed the gathering, while Shri Rakashashi Panda Sir spoke on the significance of Guru Purnima and the role of teachers in guiding students towards knowledge, wisdom, and good character.

The Principal felicitated the guests and offered dhana to the temple in the form of rice, oil, vegetables, gamchas, and other essentials. Students presented Guru Bhajans, followed by a special address by Dr. H. Macha.

A blessings and healing session was conducted by the Guru Matas. Class X students received blessings for their final examinations and good health, while teachers also received healing blessings.

A Swadhyay session with the Sankul family focused on the significance of Guru Purnima. Discussions highlighted the ancient Gurukula system, which imparted both academic and spiritual knowledge, and its relevance to VKV's holistic approach to education. It was also shared that OM is considered our Guru at the Kendra.

The celebration was a meaningful occasion of devotion, gratitude, learning, and spiritual reflection.

On **21st June**, VKV Changlang celebrated the **12th International Yoga Day** with great enthusiasm.

A total of **47 hosteller students from Classes VI to X**, accompanied by **6 teachers**, participated in the district-level programme at **Mohmol Ground, Changlang** along with **32 dignitaries** from the administrative and medical departments. Under the guidance of **Sri Jeya Kumar Sir**, five Class X students demonstrated yoga asanas. The programme was attended by the **DC, DMO, SP, ZPM of Khimiyong Block, Sri M. Zongsam**, and members of the public. **A total of 97 participants** took part in the event.

Earlier, at **6:00 a.m.**, **49 hosteller students from Classes III to V**, along with **10 teaching and 10 non-teaching staff**, performed yoga in the school Prayer Hall under the guidance of **Sri Raka Sashi Panda Sir**.

The celebration highlighted the importance of yoga for a healthy body, mind, and spirit.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Changlang celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 26 January. The programme began early in the morning at 6:40 a.m., when all the students and staff members assembled in the school premises.

The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the respected Principal Didi, Smt. Priyanka Tiwari. As the tricolour was unfurled, all students and staff stood in attention and sang the National Anthem with pride and devotion, creating a deeply patriotic atmosphere throughout the campus.

Following the flag hoisting, Principal Didi addressed the gathering with an inspiring patriotic speech. She highlighted the significance of Republic Day, the values enshrined in the Constitution of India, and the importance of discipline, unity, and responsibility among students as future citizens of the nation. Her words motivated the students to contribute positively to society and uphold the ideals of our great country.

The programme concluded with the distribution of chocolates to all the students, adding a joyful touch to the celebration. The Republic Day celebration at VKV Changlang was a memorable event that instilled a strong sense of national pride and respect for the nation among all present.

On the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s Janma Tithi, VKV Changlang organized a Drawing Competition and Swami Vivekananda’s Quotation Interpretation Competition at Upper Primary School, Bubang-II.

The programme aimed to familiarize students with the life, ideals, and inspiring messages of Swami Vivekananda. A total of 55 students, along with teachers and staff from Bubang-II School and VKV Changlang, participated enthusiastically.

The event began with Om Karas, Sahanavavatu, and the lighting of the lamp by Sri T. Tangha, Principal, Bubang-II School, and Smt. Priyanka Tiwari, Principal, VKV Changlang. Smt. Priyanka Tiwari spoke on the importance of the day, followed by a welcome address by Sri M. Tangha. Km. Ashung Wangsa, a Class IX student of VKV Changlang, delivered a speech on India’s contribution.

Students showcased creativity through drawings and thoughtful interpretations of Swamiji’s quotations. Prizes were distributed by the principals. The programme concluded on a positive note, inspiring students to follow the ideals of truth, service, and self-discipline as taught by Swami Vivekananda, and ended with the Shanti Mantra.

The school observed the first day of Samarth Bharat Parv on 25th December 2025 during the evening prayer. All residential staff and students participated in the programme.

The prayer hall was beautifully decorated with diyas and rangolis by the students and Warden Didi. The programme included prayer, bhajans, and an audio message from Su. Sujata Didi, Bharat Mata Aarti, and the national song “Vande Mataram.”

The Principal, Smt. Priyanka Tiwari Didi delivered a powerful speech on India’s contribution to the world, highlighting achievements in medicine, technology, sports, yoga, and other fields.

Mathematics Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at VKV Changlang on 22nd December 2025. A total of 295 students, 13 teachers, and the Chief Guest, Sri M. Tangha, Head Master of Middle School Bobang, Changlang, actively participated in the programme.

The celebration commenced with a Model Exhibition, where students displayed various innovative mathematical models in front of the school block. The exhibition was keenly observed and appreciated by the Chief Guest and the Principal of VKV Changlang, Smt. Priyanka Tiwari, who encouraged the students for their creativity and conceptual understanding.

Earlier, on 19th December, a Mathematics Quiz Competition was conducted as part of the Mathematics Day activities. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. During the main programme, prizes were distributed to the winning groups by the Chief Guest, motivating students to develop a deeper interest in mathematics.

The celebration was a grand success and helped foster logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for mathematics among students.

On 1st December 2025, Gita Jayanti and Amrit Parivar Milan were celebrated in VKV Changlang with great enthusiasm and devotion. The programme was organised in the school Prayer Hall at 6 PM. The hall was beautifully decorated with banners, garlands, and a flower rangoli.

Sri N. Songthing (Superintendent of APST) was the Chief Guest, and Sri K. Khomrang (Sankul Parivar Pramukh) also graced the occasion.

A total of 36 parents, 10 teaching staff members with their families, and 40 students participated in the programme.

The Annual Sports Meet was held at VKV Changlang from 11th to 15th November 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students of all classes. The main aim of the programme was to promote physical fitness, team spirit, and healthy competition among the students.

During the inaugural ceremony, the distinguished guests included Sri G. Doke, EAC Changlang, as the Chief Guest; Sri D. Techai, Veterinary Officer, Changlang; and Sri W. Techi, Headmaster, Town Middle School, Changlang.
