Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Celebration at VKV Changlang
The school celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti on 21st January 2025 on the school campus with great joy. 197 parents, 232 students, 10 well-wishers 7 VKV Alumni, and 14 Staff attended the program. The Chief guest of the program was Shri. Hamjong Tangha, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), 52-Changlang South, the special guest was Major Bhagesh Patil, 31st Assam Rifles.
The program started with chanting prayers and lighting the lamp. The principal of the school, Smt. Priyanka Tiwari didi welcomed the attendees and appreciated their presence on the occasion. Dr. Homtu Matcha, VKV Alumnus, spoke about the importance of the day. He illustrated the life of Swamiji by narrating several life incidents like: "The cobra incident", "Ghost in the Tree', "Face the Brutes", etc. He solicited everyone to read Swami Vivekananda's book and at least adapt a few learnings from his book.

Quotation: Kr. Andrew Sonowal (Class III)
Traditional Dance: Class VI and VII
Classical Dance: Class VIII
Story Narration: Kr. Napong Kangnong (Class IV)
Bihu Dance: Hostel students (Class IV and V)
Yoga: Hostel students (Class IV and V)
The Chief Guest of the program Shri. Hamjong Tangha, MLA Changlang, appreciated Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas for its outstanding work and service in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. He spoke about Swamiji's ideology of selfless service and the strength of youth. He acknowledged the drawbacks that Changlang is facing. He said that drugs and opium had destroyed the youth of Changlang. He addressed the parents to take care of their children and guide them to follow the right path. Lastly, he said that he is ready to offer any help in the issues and shortcomings of the school. The program ended with a vote of thanks and Shanti path.
