Celebrating Swami Vivekananda’s Janma Tithi through Art & Thought

On the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s Janma Tithi, VKV Changlang organized a Drawing Competition and Swami Vivekananda’s Quotation Interpretation Competition at Upper Primary School, Bubang-II.
The programme aimed to familiarize students with the life, ideals, and inspiring messages of Swami Vivekananda. A total of 55 students, along with teachers and staff from Bubang-II School and VKV Changlang, participated enthusiastically.
The event began with Om Karas, Sahanavavatu, and the lighting of the lamp by Sri T. Tangha, Principal, Bubang-II School, and Smt. Priyanka Tiwari, Principal, VKV Changlang. Smt. Priyanka Tiwari spoke on the importance of the day, followed by a welcome address by Sri M. Tangha. Km. Ashung Wangsa, a Class IX student of VKV Changlang, delivered a speech on India’s contribution.
Students showcased creativity through drawings and thoughtful interpretations of Swamiji’s quotations. Prizes were distributed by the principals. The programme concluded on a positive note, inspiring students to follow the ideals of truth, service, and self-discipline as taught by Swami Vivekananda, and ended with the Shanti Mantra.
