
The Tiranga Mahotsava was celebrated at VKV PTC Banderdewa over multiple days with a series of patriotic events and activities from 11th August to 15th August 2025. The programme included a series of competitions and activities designed to nurture patriotic feelings, creativity, and unity among the students.
Day-wise Summary of Events
11th August 2025 – Quiz Competition (House-wise)
The celebration began with an inter-house quiz competition for Classes VI to X. The quiz tested students’ knowledge on India’s history, freedom movement, geography, and current affairs. The event witnessed active participation and healthy competition among all houses.
12th August 2025 – Drawing, Poster & Essay Writing Competition
Students from Classes I to X took part in various creative activities. Classes I–III participated in drawing, Classes IV–VIII in poster-making, and Classes IX–X in essay writing. The themes revolved around patriotism, national unity, and India’s cultural heritage.
13th August 2025 – Fancy Dress Competition
For Classes I to V, a colourful fancy dress competition was organized. Students dressed as freedom fighters, national leaders, and symbols of India. Each participant introduced themselves, adding educational value to the event.
14th August 2025 – School Decoration & Patriotic Song Competition
Students from Classes VI to X took part in decorating the school premises with national flags, flowers, and rangoli. Alongside, a patriotic song competition was held, where melodious group performances filled the air with national pride.
15th August 2025 –
Prabhat Phery inside PTC campus, Students and staff marched through the campus carrying the national flag and singing patriotic songs & slogans.
The final day began with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal VKV PTC Banderdewa Sri Ashis Chatterjee, followed by the National Anthem. Students presented patriotic songs and a dumbbells drill display by Classes IV and V. The Principal addressed the gathering, urging students to uphold the values of unity, discipline, and dedication towards the nation.
While at IG Park, Itanagar, our Band captains received a trophy from the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for their exemplary performance.
