The theme for this year, “One Earth, One Health”, resonated deeply with students and staff, reminding everyone of yoga’s timeless benefits for the body, mind, and spirit.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by our Principal Didi, invoking a serene and sacred atmosphere. This was followed by an inspiring speech delivered by Pasang Lhamu, a student of Class 10, who shared her thoughts on the significance of yoga in students’ lives, highlighting its role in promoting discipline, emotional balance, and overall well-being.
The yoga sessions were conducted simultaneously at four venues across Tawang
It was conducted as per the Government of India’s Yoga Day protocol. Students and staff participated in a series of asanas, including Vajrasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, Bhujangasana, and Shavasana, combined with breathing exercises (Pranayama) and moments of quiet reflection through meditation.
In her address, Principal Didi emphasized the significance of yoga in nurturing a sound body, a sharp mind, and a peaceful spirit. The programme concluded with a collective Yoga Pledge, wherein all participants promised to incorporate yoga into their daily routine and to carry its benefits beyond the school gates — spreading health, harmony, and happiness throughout the community.
