World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and environmental consciousness in our school on 5th June, 2025. The day was filled with activities, awareness programmes, and active participation from students, teachers, and dignitaries.
The celebration began with the felicitation of our esteemed Chief Guest, Shri. Eha Tacho, Residential Researcher of EECEP, graced the occasion with inspiring words and a powerful PowerPoint presentation on the importance of preserving our environment. Following this, the Guests of Honor arrived, Su. Rim, Coordinator of EECEP, Shri. Jeevantu Tikhak, Prof. of IGG College, and Arunjyoti Karyakartha, Shri. Aba Pulu, Prof. of IGG College, Shri. Bachamso Chiba, Coordinator of School Supporting Group and Smt. Achina Chiba Ass. The coordinator of School Supporting Group were warmly welcomed by our school.
Following this, Highlighted the significance of the day and Inter House Role play Competition was conducted on the theme” Voice of the Earth”, where students vividly portrayed different environmental issues and their possible solutions through creative performances. The guests were highly impressed by their awareness and acting skills.
Later, a live video was screened for the students, showcasing our Honorable Education Minister launching “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0”. This moment filled everyone with pride and a sense of larger community involvement in the cause.
School supporting group coordinator, Shri. Bachamso Chiba donated ornamental plant saplings, highlighting the importance of planting trees. A plantation drive followed, where students, teachers, and the chief guests actively participated by planting the saplings around the school campus.
The celebration continued with various competitions to encourage creativity and expression among students. These included:
1.    Essay Writing Competition
2.    Poetry Writing
3.    Poster Making
Meanwhile, a group of selected students had already represented the school at the Bamboosa Library, where they participated in a Rangoli Competition and a Quiz Competition related to World Environment Day. We are proud to announce that our students not only participated with enthusiasm but also won prizes in both events.
The entire day was a wonderful blend of learning, action, and celebration, reinforcing the idea that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. It was truly a memorable and impactful event for the whole school community.
