On the sacred day of Guru Purnima, VKV Tafrogam celebrated the occasion with immense devotion and cultural spirit, honoring the timeless Indian tradition of Guru-Shishya Parampara.
The celebration began with the arrival of the esteemed Mishmi Priests – Sri Bakhrd Billai, Sri Lukeso Karap, Sri Bapelum Karap, followed by a devotional ritual where students humbly washed the feet of the Priests, symbolizing deep respect and surrender to the Guru. After this, the main program commenced. Our Principal honored the priests with a token of gratitude and appreciation. It was a gesture of reverence and acknowledgment for their blessings and presence. After this, the students of class 4 presented devotional bhajans dedicated to the Gurus, filling the atmosphere with spiritual vibrations and devotion. 
Sri Rajeev Kumar Singh highlighted the importance of Guru Purnima, elaborating on the spiritual and cultural relevance of this auspicious day and urging students to express gratitude to their teachers and parents who guide them throughout their lives. A student then read out a heartfelt message from Nivedita Didi, which carried a powerful reminder about the value of a Guru and the importance of inner growth through humility and learning. After this, the priest traditionally performed the Mishmi Puja. The,n to make the celebration more engaging, the students of Primary Classes presented a drama with the theme ‘Guru-Shisya Parampara’.  All attendees sat in silence and prayer during the ritual. The ceremony concluded with a flower offering ceremony to Om, Swami Vivekanda, Ramakrishna Paramhans, Maa Sarada, and Ved Vyasa by the students and teachers, marking a gesture of devotion and respect.
After the program ended, the Amrit Parivar Sankul members,  who were part of the program, appreciated the event and encouraged everyone to stay rooted in spiritual values. The n after a brief and meaningful Amrit Parivar discussion was held among the Sankul members, principal, and teachers. The celebration concluded with a lot of blessings. The Guru Purnima celebration was not just a program, but a heartfelt offering of gratitude to the Gurus who enlighten our lives.
