VKV Jairampur celebrated the 75 th Independence day by hoisting the tricolor in our school premises, Sri. Ajayakumar. P CIC hoisted the flag and addressed the gathering. Teachers sang the patriotic song " Desh ame dethahe subu kuch..". It is telecasted through google meet to the parents and students. Also conducted various online competitions for students.Ans teachers attended the common programme at jairampur general ground invited by AD

A programme had been organized in our school prayer hall at 6.00.pm. on the occasion of Guru Purnima in the presence of Sri. P.M.  Unnikrishnan EO, VKV APT, Inviting the Chief (Bongte) of local Buddhist monastery being the chief guest of the programme.The Programme begin with welcome address by the Principal.In his speech on the importance of the day Sri. Amit Kumar highlighted the long tradition of Guru being the source of knowledge and light and the role of Ved Vyasa, the creator of the four Vedas.Sri. P.M.Unnikrishanan EO felicitated the chief guest.

Afterwards Pooja was performed by the Chief Guest following the Buddhist rituals. Then he explained the meaning of the slogas and gave his messages to all.The programme was witnessed by all teaching & Non-Teaching staff of the vidyalaya along with their families. The Students were attending the programme through Google Meet. Total attendees were 78 and 150 students attended through Google Meet.The programme got concluded with Prasad distribution and all left the prayer hall with blessing and happiness.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (National Youth Day) was celebrated in our School premises with great pomp and glory. II nd in Commanding Officer, Sri S.C. Dwivedi,  19th  Assam Rifles was the Chief Guest of the occasion.

• At the outset Hon’ble Chief Guest lighted the lamp and offered flowers at the feet of Bharat Mata.
• Our National Song Vande Mataram was sung by our students with great traditional fervor.
• Felicitation of Chief Guest was done by Respected Sri P. Ajaya Kumar, CIC, Tirap and Changlang Cluster.
• Welcome address and Significance of the Day was given by Respected Sri P.M. Unnikrishnan sir, EO, VKVAPT

In his speech Sri Unnikrishnan sir highlighted the significance of the Day. And this year’s motto of the country: “Channelizing the Youth power for Nation Building”.

Gita Jayanti and Samarth Bharat Parva were celebrated in our school premises (Prayer Hall) with great pomp and glory on 25th December 2020 at 6.30pm, immediately after evening prayer.  Earthen lamps were illuminated and the portraits of Bharat Mata and Swamiji were arranged on the altar.

At the outset “Vande Mataram”, our National Song, was sung with lead and follow. Then Sri Satya Narayan Pandey, Sanskrit Teacher, spoke on the occasion of Gita Jayanti, its significance and relevance with the great epic, the Mahabharat.

He also spoke on the beginning of the Samartha Bharat Parva highlighting India’s glory in the past, present and the prospect of her glory in the future.

Some Salient points discussed on Gita Jayanti were –

• Gita gives us Vedic wisdom.
• Gita is for all. It represents not only the Vedic Wisdom but also gives a synthesis of thought to resolve all the paradoxes of life.
• Gita should be read daily with reverent contemplation for whole life.
• Gita acts like a mother who takes us in her lap and consoles us when we are grieved and sad.
• Through the study of Gita inner strength can be developed.
• Our purpose of celebrating Gita Jayanti is that the relevance of Gita is understood and explained to the younger generation in this contemporary world.
• In the past few years the celebration of GIta Jayanti has been linked to Kutumba Sammelan as Gita should become the basic book which should be read out and discussed in the family in which the children acquire views and values.
• Gita is the elevating and guiding force in moulding the children.

In the morning School Assembly, Sri Satya Narayan Pandey, Sanskrit Teacher, spoke in detail on the Life sketch of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade, highlighting and mentioning about the struggles and difficulties faced by the Founder President on the erection of the great Vivekananda Rock Memorial amidst great opposition which later turned into stepping stones of success.

The morning after the speech the students of Classes X, XI and XII and the teachers offered floral tribute to this great soul of our Motherland.

In the evening, after prayer, a Swadhyaya was conducted in the prayer Hall. The discussion was based on the topic / article sent by Maa. Nivedita Didi, Vice-President, Vivekananda Kendra.

Universal brotherhood day was celebrated in our school prayer hall with great pomp and glory.

1. All the teaching and non-teaching Staff with their children.         
2. The students from Classes V to XII through Google Meet.

The programme began with Mangala Charan followed by Welcome Address given by Sri P.M. Unnikrishnan sir.

After welcoming the Chief Guest and others, Sri P.M. Unnikrishnan sir highlighted the significance of the day.

• He mentioned the historical perspective of the speech of Swami Vivekananda in the World’s Parliament of Religions at Chicago.
• Highlighted the essence of the speech- the idea of inclusiveness.
• Touched the spirit of our culture, a living as well as a progressive one with the concepts of Addition, deletion and modification.

The Hon’ble Chief Guest was felicitated by Sri P. Ajaya Kumar, CIC.

Special Online Raksha Bandhan Programme (Class Wise)

• All the teachers reported to the school at 8.45 am and after Kendra Prayer they went their concerned classes and conducted online Programme for their concerned/ allotted classes.
• At first class teachers presented a prepared PPT on Raksha Bandhan and gave a short speech highlighting the importance of the day.
• Selected and willing students also spoke about Raksha Bandhan.
• Students have presented Song (patriotic & song Raksha Bandhan), story etc.
• Recorded audio and video files were sent for the benefit of the students from Class II to IV.
• Some of the students have sent recorded videos to the teachers in which importance of the day, scenes of tying rachis etc. were included.
