
On 9th January 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Joram organized a 4-hour Programme to commemorate the 162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda here at Govt. Secondary School, Yachuli.
The celebration began with a grand reception of the chief guest, Shri Joram Kamin Abo, Headmaster, GSS Yachuli, other faculty members, teachers from Primary school, Jat, and students from GSS Yachuli by the Faculty members of VKV Joram and band troops.
Following the reception, the lighting of the lamp symbolized the beginning of the program and was accompanied by an invocation prayer, invoking the blessings of the almighty for a successful and harmonious celebration.
Mrs. Ritu Naroh didi, the Principal of the VKV Joram, delivered the welcome address. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all present for joining the celebration and underscored the importance of National Youth Day. The chief guest was felicitated with a traditional muffler, and a calendar of 2025 as a token of appreciation for their presence.
Mrs. Durga Tripathi didi, a teacher, then took the stage to deliver a comprehensive explanation of the significance of the National Youth Day celebration. She spoke eloquently about Swami Vivekananda’s life, his teachings on self-reliance, and spirituality, and his vision for India’s youth as the country’s future leaders. She highlighted how National Youth Day serves as a reminder for young people to understand their potential and work towards the betterment of society.
The Students of Class 6 present a powerful Vivek Vani, a message of Swami Vivekananda, delivered in the local dialect. The performance was received with great enthusiasm by the audience as the students brought forth the essence of Vivekananda’s philosophy in a language everyone could relate to.
Shri Takpi Game, a teacher of VKV Joram introduced the organization and its mission to the gathering. He elaborated on Kendra’s efforts to uplift Arunachal through the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and urged the youth to contribute positively to society.
The other attraction of the day was the cultural program, which showcased the diverse and rich traditions of India. The students participated enthusiastically in the following performances Local Group Dance, Patriotic Group Song, Mono Act on Colonial Rule and Indian Army, Traditional Mega Dance, and Classical Group Dance. Apart from teaching Staff, Smt. Dado Yamu didi, and Smt. Sonali Dey didi, also guided the classical group dance, showcasing India’s diversity and cultural richness.
Shri Joram Kamin Abo, Headmaster of GSS, Yachuli thrilled the audience with his powerful speech. He reflected on Swamiji’s life and messages by quoting various incidents of Swamiji in his speech. He urged youth to preserve our culture and tradition and suggested Vocal for locals through dance and dramas.
The Chief Guest speech was followed by a PPT presentation by Shri Sujit Dey sir on the Strength of Bharat (Samarth Bharat Parva). He tried to remind the gathering about India’s strength as per as technology and securities are concerned.
At the end, Shri Madan Kafle, VP, VKV Joram, delivered the Vote of thanks by thanking the Principal, other staff, and students for their enthusiastic participation in making the celebration a grand success.
The National Youth Day celebration at Govt. Secondary School, Yachuli, was a memorable and impactful event. The program beautifully combined intellectual deliberation with cultural expression, inspiring students to live up to the ideals set forth by Swami Vivekananda. Through speeches and performances, the event emphasized the importance of self-awareness, discipline, and service to the nation—values that are crucial for the development of a bright future for India. The day was a true reflection of the spirit of the Youth and their role in nation-building.
