Samarth Bharat Parva was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit in our school to inculcate a sense of national pride, unity, and responsibility among students.
The programme commenced in a serene and spiritual atmosphere with the chanting of three Omkaras followed by Shānti Mantra – “Sahana Vavatu”, invoking peace, harmony, and collective well-being. This set a positive and disciplined tone for the entire event.
The first cultural presentation of the programme was Bharat Mata Aarti, performed with devotion and reverence, symbolising love and respect for our motherland. This was followed by the melodious and inspiring patriotic song “Vande Mataram”, which filled the campus with a deep sense of nationalism and unity.
Thereafter, the Principal addressed the gathering and explained the importance and significance of Samarth Bharat Parva. In the address, emphasis was laid on building a strong, self-reliant, and value-based nation through discipline, character, unity, and dedication. Students were motivated to contribute positively towards the nation by developing moral values, skills, and a sense of social responsibility.
Following the address, the Swadesh Mantra was chanted collectively by students and staff members, reinforcing the ideals of self-reliance, national pride, and commitment to the nation.
A special attraction of the programme was the creative activity of making the map of India using stones, carried out jointly by students and teachers. This activity beautifully showcased the creativity, teamwork, and artistic talent of the students. It also reflected the spirit of unity and collective effort, highlighting the idea of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”
The programme witnessed the active participation of nearly 70 students along with 11 staff members. The disciplined conduct, enthusiastic involvement, and collaborative spirit of both students and teachers made the event meaningful and successful.
Overall, the celebration of Samarth Bharat Parva was inspiring and impactful. It strengthened patriotic feelings, encouraged creativity, and reinforced the values of unity, self-reliance, and national responsibility among students.

The Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2025 of VKV Raga was held from November 12th to 14th, 2025, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and cultural expression. Students were provided with an excellent platform to showcase their talents and abilities across a wide range of events.

The Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2025 at VKV Raga successfully achieved its objective of fostering physical fitness, cultural appreciation, teamwork, leadership, and confidence among students. The three-day celebration concluded on a positive and inspiring note, reflecting the collective efforts, enthusiasm, and commitment of the entire school community.

VKV Raga has participated in the district-level science seminar on the topic “Quantum Age Begins: Potential and Challenges”  on 12/09/2025, which was organized by the Deputy Director of School Education, Kamle District. The seminar provided a platform for students from various schools across the district to participate and present their individual presentations on the given topics related to quantum science.
From our school, KM Marni Murtem, a student of Class VIII, represented VKV Raga with great commitment and enthusiasm. She was guided by Shri Shyam Gautam, a science teacher of our school, during her preparation for the event. KM Marni Murtem delivered an excellent presentation on the assigned topic, reflecting her deep understanding of the topic.
Her presentation was highly appreciated by the judges, and she was awarded the Second Prize for her outstanding performance at the district level. This recognition is a testament to her hard work, scientific interest, and the guidance she received from her teacher.
The entire school is proud of KM Marni Murtem’s achievement and congratulates her on this success. Her accomplishment is an inspiration to other students to actively participate in academic events and pursue scientific knowledge.

Conclusion:
 The seminar offered a valuable opportunity for students to individually explore and present their knowledge on important scientific themes. We congratulate KM Marni Murtem for her achievement and look forward to more such successes in the future.

The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kamle, Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with VKV Raga, successfully organised a Disaster Management Awareness Programme at the school premises to impart practical knowledge and prepare students and teachers for disaster management.
Inaugural Session:
The programme commenced with the chanting of three Omkāras followed by the recitation of “Om Sahana Bhavatu”. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was done by the District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO), Smt. Taku Natung Nabam, along with the Principal of VKV Raga, Sri Pramod Kumar Gupta, marked the auspicious beginning of the event.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Sri Pramod Kumar Gupta, Principal of VKV Raga, who praised the organising team for selecting VKV Raga as the venue for this important awareness programme.
Following this, DDMO Smt. Taku Natung Nabam felicitated the Principal and Instructor Shri Boni Chada, Trainer of Trainers (TOT), in recognition of their contributions and support towards the programme.
Keynote Address:
DDMO Smt. Taku Natung Nabam, in her keynote address, underlined the importance of disaster preparedness, response mechanisms, and the role of awareness programmes in minimising risks. Through a PowerPoint presentation (PPT), she explained the basic concepts of disaster management, safety measures, and community participation in handling emergencies.
Participation:
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 150 students of VKV Raga, along with a group of students from Hutho Middle School (HMS), accompanied by their mentor, Miss Lalita Pegu. Teachers, staff members, and guests also attended the programme, making it an engaging and interactive session.
Training and Demonstration:
The practical training session was led by Instructor Shri Boni Chada, Trainer of Trainers (TOT), who demonstrated various life-saving techniques and rescue operations. Some of the key highlights included:
●    Demonstration of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) during emergency cases.

●    Methods of preparing an improvised stretcher using limited resources available during disasters.

●    Techniques of bandaging wounds and providing first aid in critical situations.

●    Step-by-step rescue procedures are essential for earthquake, fire, and flood scenarios.

Students actively participated in the “learning by doing” activities. They practised bandaging techniques, making stretchers, and handling emergency scenarios under the guidance of the instructor. The hands-on training helped them gain confidence in applying disaster response skills in real-life situations.
Conclusion
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by DDMO Smt. Taku Natung Nabam, who appreciated the efforts of VKV Raga for hosting the event, encouraged students to act as torchbearers of disaster awareness in their communities. The session ended with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, spreading the message of peace and well-being.
After the formal conclusion, a photo session was conducted with the students, staff, and organising team. Finally, snacks were distributed to all the participants, marking a cheerful end to the awareness programme.

Outcome of the Programme
●    Students and teachers gained practical knowledge of disaster preparedness.

●    Participants learned life-saving skills like CPR, first aid, and stretcher making.

●    The programme instilled confidence and readiness among students to act responsibly during emergencies.

●    It fostered a sense of community responsibility and awareness about disaster management.

On the auspicious occasion of the 79th Independence Day, VKV Raga celebrated the day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The morning began with a Prabhat Pheri, where students and teachers marched through the streets, spreading the message of unity and patriotism.
Back at the school campus, our Principal, Shri Pramod Kumar Gupta, hoisted the National Flag. Following the flag hoisting, he delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of Independence Day and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, urging the students to uphold the values of our great nation.
After the school celebration, the gathering proceeded to the General Ground to take part in the community program. Our students participated in the March Past, Band Display, Patriotic Dance, and PT Display. Their discipline, coordination, and spirited performance were widely appreciated.
It was a proud moment for the school when VKV Raga secured the 2nd position in the March Past competition and won several prizes in various activities. The celebration concluded with a sense of pride, joy, and renewed commitment towards our motherland.

The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Raga, to foster national unity, brotherhood, and cultural awareness among students.
Before the formal program began, a group of students, along with Principal Shri Pramod Kumar Gupta and Smt. Phebow Gangsa visited the DC Bungalow and SP Bungalow, where they tied Rakhi to the dignitaries, symbolizing harmony and mutual respect in the community.
The main celebration commenced in the school premises at the Prayer Hall, conducted by Shri Shyam Gautam. Proceedings began with the opening prayer “ॐ सह नाववतु” led by Shri Ranjan Rath, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Shri Ganesh Bhatt, Principal, Hutho Middle School, Band Teacher Shri Sital Desai, and the Principal.
The welcome address was delivered by the Principal, Shri Pramod Kumar Gupta, who highlighted the significance of the day and encouraged students to uphold the values of unity and cultural heritage.
After the welcome address, Shri Rameshwar Singh spoke on the importance of Raksha Bandhan, presenting its historical and cultural background. This was followed by the recitation of shlokas on protection and unity by Shri Ranjan Rath, which added a devotional atmosphere to the occasion.
A unique and heartwarming moment came next, the first Rakhi tying to the “Heart of VKV Raga” – the beautiful plant, symbolizing the bond of protection with nature. After this, the formal Rakhi tying program began. The first Rakhi was tied to the guest Shri Ganesh Bhatt by Smt. Phebow Gangsa, followed by the Principal Shri Pramod Kumar Gupta being tied Rakhi by Su. Om Kumari Chetry. The girl students then tied Rakhi to other teachers, strengthening bonds of affection and respect.
Following the teachers, the celebration continued among the students, where girls and boys tied Rakhis to each other, signifying mutual respect, care, and friendship. They also exchanged sweets (laddu), spreading joy and togetherness throughout the school.
The program concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra and the distribution of sweets to all.
The celebration successfully promoted the objectives of the event:
●    Encouraging national unity and cultural values.

●    Presenting Raksha Bandhan as a symbol of social protection beyond the brother-sister relationship.

●    Developing feelings of affection, cooperation, and dedication among students.

On 10th July 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Raga celebrated Guru Purnima with devotion and enthusiasm. Students from classes 1 to 8 took part in the event, which was held in the school premises.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp. We were honoured to have Shri Pei Golom Dhol, a respected local pujari, as the chief guest. His presence added a spiritual warmth to the occasion.

A Bhajan Competition was conducted, where all four houses participated with full spirit. The students sang devotional songs that created a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

This was followed by a Story Telling Competition with 8 participants from junior and senior categories across all houses. Their inspiring stories were enjoyed by everyone present.

Towards the end, Shri Pei Golom Dhol ji addressed the gathering. He spoke about the value of teachers and gave his blessings to the students for a bright future.

The programme ended on a positive note with smiles, blessings, and a deeper respect for our gurus.

The International Day of Yoga was observed with great enthusiasm and participation at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Raga, on 21st June, 2025. This year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” focused on the interconnection between individual well-being and planetary health.
Before the commencement of the yoga practice, Sri Phanindra Bharali addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of the day. In his brief yet meaningful talk, he explained the origin of International Yoga Day, its universal acceptance, and how yoga helps balance the body, mind, and spirit.
After the talk, the program officially began with the chanting of three Omkāras followed by the Sahanāvavatu mantra, led by Smt. Phebow Gangsa, creating a peaceful and focused atmosphere.
A total of 118 students participated in the program — 59 boys and 59 girls, marking a beautiful example of gender-balanced involvement. Along with them, 10 teachers also took part in the session, making it a truly inclusive celebration.
Adding further significance to the occasion, 15 members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kamle District Unit, visited the school and planted saplings on the campus. This symbolic act underlined the importance of environmental consciousness along with physical wellness.
The program was excellently coordinated by Smt. Phebow Gangsa and Sri Phanindra Bharali, the yoga instructors, with the support of other teachers and under the guidance of Sri Pramod Kumar Gupta, Principal, VKV Raga.
The event concluded at 9:30 AM, leaving a strong message of unity, health, and harmony with nature among all attendees.
