Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Raga organized a two-day **Prerana Shivir** for Class VII students on **27–28 June 2026** to foster discipline, patriotism, leadership, cultural awareness, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The camp was inaugurated by **Shri Mantu Gyadi, District Project Officer, Kamle**, who emphasized the role of education in developing scientific thinking, discipline, honesty, and responsible citizenship.

Students participated in a variety of enriching sessions, including music, health and hygiene, anti-bullying and drug abuse awareness, road safety, traditional local songs, bamboo crafting, patriotic song practice, and outdoor games. **Smt. Techi Hanyir, Superintendent of Police, Kamle**, sensitized students on bullying, drug abuse, and responsible behaviour, while **Dr. Gamik Hangkar** conducted an interactive session on personal hygiene, nutrition, immunization, adolescent health, and disease prevention.

Traditional learning formed an important part of the camp, with students learning the Namlo prayer song from **Smt. Aruna Maga** and the basics of bamboo basket weaving from **Shri Golom Dhol**, promoting appreciation for indigenous culture and craftsmanship.

The second day began with morning prayer and **Shram Sanskar**, followed by a session on traditional Gale making by **Smt. Yatu Kigam**. During the valedictory session, **Smt. Ebasi Maga** inspired students with the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and the ideals of VKV students, encouraging them to uphold discipline, character, service, and patriotism.

The camp concluded with students sharing their experiences and expressing gratitude for the valuable lessons learnt. Overall, the Prerana Shivir successfully strengthened the students' moral values, leadership qualities, cultural awareness, health consciousness, and commitment to the ideals of **"Man-Making and Nation-Building."**

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Raga, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2026 with enthusiasm under the theme **“Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”** Students and staff participated in a yoga session at the school, practising asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation under the guidance of Shri Phanindra Bharali.

Later, they joined the district-level Yoga programme organised by the District AYUSH Society, Kamle District, in association with The Art of Living, at the Khelo India Indoor Stadium, Yada. The event was attended by Chief Guest Er. Rotom Tebin, MLA, along with other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting physical health, mental well-being, and healthy ageing. More than 350 participants took part in the programme, and VKV Raga students also presented yoga demonstrations.

The celebration inspired participants to make yoga a regular part of their lives for better health and well-being.

World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at VKV Raga on 5 June 2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about environmental conservation and inspire them to protect nature.

The celebration began with a Plantation and Flower Gardening Drive in the school campus, where students and teachers actively participated in planting saplings and flowering plants. The activity emphasized the importance of increasing green cover and maintaining a healthy environment.

A Drawing Competition was also organized with themes such as Save Trees, Healthy Earth, Happy Earth, and Our Environment, Our Responsibility for different classes. Students showcased their creativity and understanding of environmental issues through meaningful artworks.

As part of outreach activities, the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Raga, along with teachers Sri Rameshwar Singh and Su. Om Kumari Chhetri visited Police Station, Raga, to conduct an Outreach Programme on the theme “Samarth Bharat Parva.” The programme aimed to promote awareness about national strength, unity, and cultural values.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by OC Sir, accompanied by chanting of Om Karas and Sahanavabatu. OC Sir welcomed the VKV team and appreciated the initiative. VKV students then presented a patriotic song and group dance, creating a vibrant and nationalistic atmosphere.

Sri Rameshwar Singh Sir delivered an inspiring talk on the significance of Samarth Bharat Parva, emphasizing the values of self-reliance, unity, discipline, and national pride. This was followed by Bharat Mata Aarti, during which police staff and students offered flowers in reverence.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by OC Sir and the chanting of the Shanti Mantra led by Su. Om Kumari Chhetri.

The outreach programme was successful and impactful, strengthening patriotism, unity, and cultural awareness among the participants.

The Outreach Program on Samarth Bharat Parva – 2026 was successfully organized at Nyidar Namlo, Raga, on 4th January 2026. The program aimed to inspire the youth by spreading the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
The program began with the chanting of three Omkars and the “Sahanabhavatu” mantra, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the respected Nyidar Namlo Priest, Shri Golom Dol Ji. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by the Namlo Secretary, who warmly welcomed all VKV Raga staff, students, and participants.
Thereafter, Bharat Mata Aarti was performed, and flowers were offered at the photograph of Swami Vivekananda. The importance of the day was then highlighted by Smt. Phebow Gangsa, who emphasized the relevance of Swamiji’s teachings for today’s youth.
The program continued with a group dance performance by the students, reflecting enthusiasm, unity, and rich cultural values. The total number of participants was 25. 
The vote of thanks and Dhanyavaad Gyaanpan were presented by Shri Golom Dol Ji and Shri Rameswar Singh, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful organization of the program.
The program formally concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, led by Shri Dipak Karjee, spreading a message of peace and harmony.

Samarth Bharat Parva was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit in our school to inculcate a sense of national pride, unity, and responsibility among students.
The programme commenced in a serene and spiritual atmosphere with the chanting of three Omkaras followed by Shānti Mantra – “Sahana Vavatu”, invoking peace, harmony, and collective well-being. This set a positive and disciplined tone for the entire event.
The first cultural presentation of the programme was Bharat Mata Aarti, performed with devotion and reverence, symbolising love and respect for our motherland. This was followed by the melodious and inspiring patriotic song “Vande Mataram”, which filled the campus with a deep sense of nationalism and unity.
Thereafter, the Principal addressed the gathering and explained the importance and significance of Samarth Bharat Parva. In the address, emphasis was laid on building a strong, self-reliant, and value-based nation through discipline, character, unity, and dedication. Students were motivated to contribute positively towards the nation by developing moral values, skills, and a sense of social responsibility.
Following the address, the Swadesh Mantra was chanted collectively by students and staff members, reinforcing the ideals of self-reliance, national pride, and commitment to the nation.
A special attraction of the programme was the creative activity of making the map of India using stones, carried out jointly by students and teachers. This activity beautifully showcased the creativity, teamwork, and artistic talent of the students. It also reflected the spirit of unity and collective effort, highlighting the idea of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”
The programme witnessed the active participation of nearly 70 students along with 11 staff members. The disciplined conduct, enthusiastic involvement, and collaborative spirit of both students and teachers made the event meaningful and successful.
Overall, the celebration of Samarth Bharat Parva was inspiring and impactful. It strengthened patriotic feelings, encouraged creativity, and reinforced the values of unity, self-reliance, and national responsibility among students.

The Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2025 of VKV Raga was held from November 12th to 14th, 2025, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and cultural expression. Students were provided with an excellent platform to showcase their talents and abilities across a wide range of events.

The Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2025 at VKV Raga successfully achieved its objective of fostering physical fitness, cultural appreciation, teamwork, leadership, and confidence among students. The three-day celebration concluded on a positive and inspiring note, reflecting the collective efforts, enthusiasm, and commitment of the entire school community.

VKV Raga has participated in the district-level science seminar on the topic “Quantum Age Begins: Potential and Challenges”  on 12/09/2025, which was organized by the Deputy Director of School Education, Kamle District. The seminar provided a platform for students from various schools across the district to participate and present their individual presentations on the given topics related to quantum science.
From our school, KM Marni Murtem, a student of Class VIII, represented VKV Raga with great commitment and enthusiasm. She was guided by Shri Shyam Gautam, a science teacher of our school, during her preparation for the event. KM Marni Murtem delivered an excellent presentation on the assigned topic, reflecting her deep understanding of the topic.
Her presentation was highly appreciated by the judges, and she was awarded the Second Prize for her outstanding performance at the district level. This recognition is a testament to her hard work, scientific interest, and the guidance she received from her teacher.
The entire school is proud of KM Marni Murtem’s achievement and congratulates her on this success. Her accomplishment is an inspiration to other students to actively participate in academic events and pursue scientific knowledge.

 The seminar offered a valuable opportunity for students to individually explore and present their knowledge on important scientific themes. We congratulate KM Marni Murtem for her achievement and look forward to more such successes in the future.
