Independence Day was celebrated at VKV Liromoba on 15 August 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit under the guidance of Shri Rupak Paul Ji.

The programme began at 6:00 AM with flag hoisting by Smt. Dewlu Kri Didi, Principal, VKV Liromoba, followed by Vande Mataram, the National Anthem, a patriotic song, and the Principal’s address.

At 8:00 AM, students, teachers, and wardens proceeded to the General Ground with patriotic slogans. At 9:00 AM, the National Flag was hoisted by the Hon’ble Shri Pesi Jilen Ji, MLA, Liromoba. The school presented the National Song and National Anthem under the guidance of Smt. Hage Monya Didi.

The school’s boys’ and girls’ contingents participated enthusiastically in the March Past under the guidance of Shri Hinluk Aluk Sir and Su. Kalyani Gogoi Didi. Students of Classes 2, 3, and 4 also presented a patriotic dance under the supervision of Su. Satai Kino.

The celebration was marked by discipline, enthusiasm, patriotism, and pride in the nation. The programme concluded around 1:00 PM.

The Parents' Meeting-cum-Pariwar Milan was successfully held at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Liromoba on 18 July 2026 (Saturday). The programme began at 10:00 a.m. with the chanting of three Omkaras and the Shanti Path.

The programme was graced by Smt. Karmin Romin (ZPM, Liromoba), Shri Luknya Romin (Secretary, SSG, VKV Liromoba), and Shri Gobi Romin (Advisor, SSG, VKV Liromoba). The Principal, Smt. Dewlu Kri, welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of a strong parent-school partnership.

A welcome song by the girls of Classes III–V was followed by the introduction of the teaching staff. Shri Anup Kumar Yadav presented the Annual School Report, highlighting the Vidyalaya's achievements in academics, co-curricular activities, sports, cultural programmes, and value-based education.

Parents actively participated in the interactive session, offering valuable suggestions and appreciating the school's efforts in providing quality education rooted in Indian cultural values.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks and the Shanti Mantra. A total of 123 parents attended, with an overall participation of 189, making the event meaningful and successful.

On 6 July 2026, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Liromoba celebrated Van Mahotsav with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental conservation.

The programme was graced by Dr. Jumrik Romin, EAC In-charge, Liromoba, Forest Officer Shri Tapok Miroh, and Shri Tobin Romin, Youth Leader, Liromoba. Students and teachers actively participated in the event by cleaning the school campus, removing weeds, caring for existing plants, and nurturing young trees.

The activities inspired students to develop a sense of responsibility towards nature and highlighted the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. Through this meaningful initiative, the students learned that every tree planted and nurtured today contributes to a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Liromoba Observes the 12th International Yoga Day

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Liromoba, successfully observed the 12th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2026 from 6:30 a.m. onwards with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, parents, teachers, and members of the local community.

A Yoga session for students of Classes III to V was conducted in the school Prayer Hall. Simultaneously, a mass Yoga programme for students of Classes VI to VIII was organized at the Futsal Ground, Liromoba, in collaboration with the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Liromoba.

The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Jumri Romin, SMO (SG) & EAC In-charge; Smt. Karbi Romin, ZPM, Liromoba; Shri Tobin Romin Ji; Shri Gobi Romin Ji; government officials; teaching staff from PHC and GHSS; senior citizens of Liromoba; and the teaching staff of the Vidyalaya.

To extend the spirit of Yoga beyond the school campus, a Family Yoga Competition was also organized for parents. Families were encouraged to practice Yoga together at home and share photographs in the school WhatsApp group. The best-performing family will be felicitated and awarded on 11th September 2026, on the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day.

The event successfully promoted physical fitness, mental well-being, discipline, and harmony among all participants, reflecting the true essence of International Yoga Day. The celebration was conducted under the theme:

On the occasion of World Environment Day, all students, teachers, VKV alumni, and Ranger Shri Tapak Niroh from Liromoba came together to plant saplings on the school campus. Following the plantation drive, the area was cleaned, and fencing was installed to protect the newly planted saplings.

With the slogan, "वातावरण स्वच्छ बनाएंगे, मिलकर पेड़ लगाएंगे", the programme emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and collective responsibility towards nature.

On this occasion, all students and teachers also took a pledge to nurture and care for the plants, ensuring their proper growth and maintenance.

As part of the awareness programme, the students of Class VII presented a drama before the school community, highlighting the significance of trees and the need for environmental conservation. The performance effectively conveyed the message of protecting nature for a greener and healthier future.

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Liromoba, on 26 January 2026. The programme began at 6:30 a.m. with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal in the school ground. All the students, teachers, and staff members were present and actively participated in the celebration. On this occasion, the girl students of the school sang the National Anthem, followed by a patriotic song presented by a group of students.

After the school programme, all students were required to attend the Republic Day celebration at the General Ground in the town at 8:00 a.m. Accordingly, after having breakfast, the students proceeded from the school in the form of a procession, raising slogans of freedom and patriotism. They reached the General Ground at around 8:15 a.m. After the arrival of the Chief Guest, the flag hoisting ceremony was conducted.

Thereafter, the girl students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Liromob, once again rendered the National Anthem, formally marking the beginning of the Republic Day programme. This was followed by a beautiful and impressive pyramid performance presented by the students, which was highly appreciated by the audience.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Liromoba celebrated National Youth Day on 12 January 2026 with great enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The programme began with the chanting of the Three Omkaras and Shanti Path, followed by melodious welcome songs by the students. Smt. Dewlu Kri Didi, Principal, welcomed the Chief Guest Smt. Karbi Kamum Romin Madam, ZPM Liromoba, Guest of Honour Shri Nibi Kayi Sir, Vice Principal, GHSS Liromoba, and other dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students

Shri Kishan Lal Saini Sir highlighted the significance of the day and the inspiring teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The event also featured prize distribution for Essay Writing, Prajnya Vikas Quiz, and Creative Writing competitions.

The guests motivated students through their speeches, emphasizing discipline, values, youth empowerment, and education. A vibrant cultural programme showcasing local and patriotic dances, songs, drama, and a pyramid formation added colour to the celebration.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and chanting of the Shanti Mantra. The celebration inspired students to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

Kalpataru Diwas was celebrated at our school on 1st January with great joy and enthusiasm. On this special occasion, a school picnic was organised for students along with the teaching and non-teaching staff. The school campus was beautifully decorated with balloons, and everyone gathered early in the morning with excitement and happiness.

Various activities and games, such as musical chairs and a volleyball match between students and teachers, were arranged by the students. Teachers guided and supervised all the activities to ensure safety and discipline. The students enjoyed delicious picnic meals together. Laughter, music, and cheerful conversations filled the campus, creating a joyful atmosphere.

The picnic ended with joyful memories, along with a message of unity, friendship, and hope for a successful year ahead. The celebration was delightful and memorable for everyone.

In the evening, Shri Kishan Lal Saini Sir delivered a speech on the occasion of Kalpataru Diwas in the prayer hall after the evening prayer. The programme concluded with the Shanti Mantra.
