The 72nd Republic day was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Itanagar with great gaiety.  The pride of our nation and sacrifice of our great soldiers was reflected in the act of all the students.  At 08:15 am, National flag was unfurled by the Principal, Dr Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, followed by sharing of Republic day messages by him. Patriotic song sung by teachers and students (Desh hame deta hai sabkuch) . Overall  200 students and all the teaching and non-teaching staff and have attended the programme.

Geeta Jayanti is celebrated on 25-12-20 in our school at prayer hall between 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm. All residential staff of our school remained present. Programme started with 3 omkars and aikyamantra. Geeta dhyan is done and Just after Geeta Deep yagya was performed by Pankaj Kumar, Sanskrit teacher. 21 Aahutis were offered with Geeta’s slokas by all staffs. Then chapter wise of Geeta’s meaning was presented by three teachers. Chapter 1 to 6 by Shri V. N. Uthaman, Vice Principal, Chapter 7 to 12 by Shri Pankaj Kumar, Sanskrit teacher and chapter 13 to 18 by Shri Harinath Upadhyaya, Sanskrit teacher.  Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal, talked about the practical use of Geeta’ in day to day life. After this Geeta Aarati was leaded by Shri Sumant Kumar. The programme was concluded With Kendra Prarathana and offering pushpanjali,  prasad distribution.The programme was coordinated by Sri Pankaj Kumar, Sanskrit teacher of our School in the humble guidance of the principal of our school Dr.  Kakade Rajendra Chhagan.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar NSS unit observed Constitution Day by maintaining social distancing on 26-11-2020. The programme was organized by NSS volunteers of Class XII Humanities Km. Mapani Lamgu administered the preamble to all the students. Shri Bhojraj Patil a Rtd. Asst. Engineer from Milk Scheme Maharashtra witnessed the programme as Chief Guest and advised the students to know the Constitution thoroughly. He also urged them to aware the society about constitution. He also guided how the constitution works as soul of the nation.

Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal & Sri Uthaman VN, NSS Programme Officer of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar also spoke on the occasion.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebrate in VKV Itanagar in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s famous address at Parliament of Religious held on 11th September 1893.

Dr. Nand Kishor Pandey, of Jaipur University guest of the function upholded Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy of brotherhood of all or “Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’. He said that Indi is a land of Rishis or saints. He said that Indians practice universal tolerance and accept all religious as true.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Pandey of Dera Natung college spoke on value education or character building education.

Kr. Satyasundar Lenka, Class XI Science dressed in Swami Vivekananda’s dress and narrated the Chicago speech, “sisters and brothers of America…”

विवेकानंद केंद्र विद्यालय - ईटानगर में हिंदी दिवस का कार्यक्रम बड़े ही हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया गया । कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ मंगलाचरण के साथ किया गया । स्वागत भाषण में प्राचार्य महोदय ने हिंदी की सरलता ओर सहजता पर प्रकाश डालते हुए, पूर्वोत्तर में हिंदी की स्थिति पर अपने विचार सबके सामने व्यक्त किए । हिंदी के महत्त्व को स्पष्ट करते हुए, विद्यालय की हिंदी शिक्षिका श्रीमती शर्मिला दास ने कहा कि हिंदी सिर्फ भारत की ही नहीं बल्कि विश्व की भाषा बनने जा रही है । इसका उदाहरण हम विदेशों में हिंदी के प्रयोग और पठन-पाठन के माध्यम से देख सकते हैं । हिंदी दिवस कार्यक्रम में आनलइन प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया था । जिसमें अनेक प्रतिभागियों नें भाग लिया था । धन्यवाद ज्ञापित करते हुए विद्यालय के वरिष्ठ शिक्षक श्री शंभूशरण यादव ने कहा कि हिंदी भाषा के माध्यम एक प्रदेश के लोग दूसरे प्रदेश के लोगों के साथ संपर्क स्थापित करते हैं । इस लिए हिंदी भाषा संपर्क सेतु का काम करती है । मंच का संचालन डॉ0 शिवप्रसाद मिश्र द्वारा किया गया । सभा का समापन शांति मंत्र के साथ किया गया ।

Yoga Varga was started from 01-07-2020 by Shri Dhanaji Tukaram Bhendavadekar and Shri  Prakash Borah P.T teachers of VKV Itanagar. Yoga Varga is being conducted alternatively for the groups divided according to the classes i.e (II-V) and (VI-XII). Both teachers and the students are connected through the Goggle meet app.

Everyday approximately 60-70 students are connected in the meeting. The following given routine is followed everyday:-

12 students and two teachers, Sri Prakash Borah and Sri Dhanaji Tukaram Bhendavadekar from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar attended the program.

The online North East Fitness Workshop, 2020 which was conducted from August 26th’2020 to August 28th2020 organized by Indian Sports Aerobic and Fitness Federation (ISAFF). The workshop on aerobic training, India in collaboration with North East Aerobic Zone concluded on 28th August’2020 Sunday. The workshop was conducted under the initiative of general Secretary of ISAFF Santosh Khairnar and hosted by North East General Director GM of ISAFF North East India. Dr. Thingom Roshan Singh during the workshop, said that the certificates will be distributed very Soon for those players who have successfully participated in the Workshop. It was said that starting from September 5, 2020 a month long Online training workshop will be conducted and appeal all players to participate in the online Training workshop again. The online training was participated by 97 players from eight States of north east India namely Manipur, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura and Sikkim.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Itanagar celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi & offered the shradhanjali to Ma. Eknathji on the occasion of Punyatithi. All the teaching and non-teaching staff was present along with their family members.  

Dr Kakade Rajendra Changan Principal welcomed one and all present in the program followed by the significance of the day & commemoration of the activities of Ma. Eknathji.

The following activities were involved:-

1. Installation of Ganesha Idol.
2. Puja of Ganesh idol.
3. Ganesha Atharvashirsha Path
4. Arati
5. Shradhanjali to Ma. Eknathji.

All the preparation for puja was done by Shri. Harinath Upadhyaya & the puja was performed by Shri. Pankaj Kumar.

Thus, the programme concluded with Shanti mantra followed by distribution of Prasad.
