Raksha Bandhan celebration in VKV Gaga

The programme started with an invocation followed by a welcome address from Su. Bhima Konwer, Principal, VKV Gaga. Km. Tadar Appi and Km. Kipa Aku spoke on the importance of the day. Some of the highlights of their speech were :
• The origin of the Raksha Bandhan celebration and various stories related mythology of Krishna and Draupadi, etc. Su. Sujata Nayak, Secretary VKV AP Trust, and Su, Bhima Konwer, Principal VKV Gaga tied rakhi to swamiji’s photo.
Mananeeya Hanumant Raoji, All India President of Vivekananda Kendra, addressed the gathering. The following are the highlights of his address:
• The most necessary things to protect our culture, village, and nation.
• Create a wonderful atmosphere on the campus and know more about their own culture.
• Swami Vivekananda's meditation on the Rock in 1892.
Su. Sujata Nayak, Secretary VKV AP Trust, addressed the gathering. The following are the highlights of her address:
• Relevance of the Raksha Bandhan in the present time.
• We have to be united to protect our culture and nation.
Girls tied Rakhi to Hanumant Raoji, Sujata didi, teachers, bhaiyas, and didis.
All the students tied a rakhi to each other. The programme was concluded with Shanty mantra and Prasad distribution.
