On 11th September 2026, VKV Gaga celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day with great enthusiasm on the school campus. The day was observed to commemorate Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest. The school magazine “Arohi” was also released on the occasion. Sri Upendra Kumar Biswakarma delivered a speech highlighting the significance of Universal Brotherhood Day and the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in today’s world.

A student of Class V, Kr. Tadar Lumar, presented Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago Address, bringing alive the inspiring words and message of universal brotherhood. The programme was further enriched by a variety of cultural performances presented by the students.

In his address, the Chief Guest spoke about the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and motivated the children to imbibe his ideals and values in their daily lives. The programme served as an inspiring reminder of the importance of unity, harmony, tolerance and universal brotherhood.

The celebration was attended by 90 students, 5 teachers, 5 non-teaching staff members and around 70 parents, along with children. Approximately 170 people witnessed the programme and made the occasion a memorable one.

VKV, Gaga celebrated Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with patriotic spirit. Teachers, non-teaching staff and students gathered in the school ground at 6:45 a.m. The flag was hoisted by our Principal, Su. Bhima Konwer, at 7:00 a.m., followed by the National Anthem.

In her speech, the Principal highlighted India’s independence on 15 August 1947 and remembered the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. She motivated students to contribute to the nation through sincere studies, discipline, good character and responsible citizenship.

The programme also included a patriotic song by the students. A total of 101 members attended the programme, including 90 students, 5 teachers, 5 non-teaching staff and 1 outsider. The celebration concluded successfully with a strong feeling of patriotism.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Gaga, celebrated Guru Purnima with great enthusiasm on the school campus. The programme began at 10:00 a.m. with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal Smt. Bhima Konwer and Dr. Tai Yari, an alumna of VKV Nirjuli.

The celebration was attended by all six teaching staff members, one doctor, two nurses, and 90 students. The significance of Guru Purnima was explained by Km. Tadar Appi of Class V.

A Guru Bhajan Competition was organised, in which 40 students, including 24 boys and 16 girls, participated enthusiastically. Dr. Tai Yari shared her experiences as a VKV student and motivated the students to study well and aspire to become officers or doctors.

The programme concluded on an inspiring note, reminding everyone of the importance of respecting and expressing gratitude to teachers and mentors.

The programme started with an invocation followed by a welcome address from Su. Bhima Konwer, Principal, VKV Gaga. Km. Tadar Appi and Km. Kipa Aku spoke on the importance of the day. Some of the highlights of their speech were :
•    The origin of the Raksha Bandhan celebration and various stories related mythology of Krishna and Draupadi, etc. Su. Sujata Nayak, Secretary VKV AP Trust, and Su, Bhima Konwer, Principal VKV Gaga tied rakhi to swamiji’s photo.
Mananeeya Hanumant Raoji, All India President of Vivekananda Kendra, addressed the gathering. The following are the highlights of his address:
•    The most necessary things to protect our culture, village, and nation.
•    Create a wonderful atmosphere on the campus and know more about their own culture.
•    Swami Vivekananda's meditation on the Rock in 1892.
Su. Sujata Nayak, Secretary VKV AP Trust, addressed the gathering. The following are the highlights of her address:
•    Relevance of the Raksha Bandhan in the present time.
•    We have to be united to protect our culture and nation.
Girls tied Rakhi to Hanumant Raoji, Sujata didi, teachers, bhaiyas, and didis.
All the students tied a rakhi to each other. The programme was concluded with Shanty mantra and Prasad distribution.

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, GAGA on 21st January, (21-1-2025) celebrated the  National Youth Day which marks the inspiration and awakens the spirit of strength among the youths of our Bharat.
VKV GAGA celebrated National Youth day in all possible ways.  The program coordinators were Shri.Anshuman Gogoi and Sri. Goutam Roy teachers of VKV  Gaga. 
The program was started with the arrival of Chief Guest Shri. Gyamar Gungap ji , Public Leader Nyapin  , Guest of Honour  Sri. Gyamar Rup ji C.R.C. Nyaplin and Sri.  Rido  Tarak  Additional Deputy Commissioner  Palin – Kra Daddi – Dist, . All the teaching, and non-teaching staff, students, parents, and well-wishers reported in the hostel at 9.45 am.    A total number of 40 parents along with their family members, 
08 Teaching & Non- teaching staff with their family members attended the program.
The program was started with three Om karas, lighting of Lamp followed by invocation.  
The VANDE MATARAM SONG was sung by all the guests, parents, staffs and students.   The Guests, and the parents have  appreciated the  way  of conducting programmes in the way of patriotic stream. 
The welcome address was given by Principal VKV  Gaga  Sri. G.Manoharan where he greeted the dignitaries and audiences on this auspicious occasion.

After that, the dignitaries were felicitated by the school Principal with a Swami Statues  and a Nyishi traditional scarf.
The Guest of Honour and Chief Guest  expressed the value  and contribution of V.K.Vs in the Arunachal Pradesh in the field of both education and other areas.
Sri. Rido  Tarak ADC- Kra  - Dadi  - dist, special guest expressed his view of point on V.K.V.  that his all the children are getting benefits and education from V.K.V only.  
The Guest of Honour and Chief Guest expressed their view  and  bless the children.
The importance of the day was spoke by Sri. Goutam Roy   teacher.  He spoke on life history and swamiji’s marvelous contributions towards the development of our Bharat.
The class II to V - kids were presented a wonderful  Traditional Local Dance.

VKV Gaga has celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga on 21st June at the general ground near ADC office.As the tradition the programme started with three omkaras followed by Aikya Mantra. A mass Yoga display was performed on the general ground with the help of ADC,Kurung Kumey circle, teachers and other staff members of VKV Gaga and nearby Nyapin villagers. The chief guest was Sri.Otam Jamoh, ADC, Kurung Kumey circle. During the address of chief guest he explained the importance of Yoga in our daily life. He added it increases flexibility, builds muscle strength and concentration. Importance of Yoga day told by Sri. Vijay Rai, teacher VKV Gaga. All participants enthusiastically performed warming exercises, Yogasanas, Breathing exercises, Pranayama and Meditation. Sri. Vijay Rai, teacher of VKV Gaga was yoga instructor. Total 68 members participated.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Sri Pema Khanduji visited Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Gaga on 27^th February 2022. Sri Bamang Felix, Hon’ble Home Minister Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Tapir Gao, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Arunachal East., Sri Phurpha Tsering, Hon’ble MLA, Dirang, Sri Laisam Simai, Hon’ble MLA, Nampong, Shri Bengia Nighee, DC, KurungKumey, Shri Otem Jamoh, ADC Niyapin, SP of Kurung Kumey Dist., HODs, Panchayat leaders were also present during his maiden visit. All the guests were given warm welcome by band team at the welcome gate.

After invocation, Sri Pramod Kumar Gupta, Principal of the school offered his welcome speech. He highlighted briefly about the history of the school and also the grievances of the school. A welcome song was presented by the students. The honourable chief minister and other guests were felicitated by our students offering muffler, statue of Swami Vivekananda and Swamiji's photo.

Sri Bamang Felixji offered his speech and appreciated the students and the entire team of VKV Gaga for their hard work and dedication. He told that they would think about the infrastructure development and the upgradation of the school from Primary to Middle .

Sri Pema Khanduji, appreciated the efforts taken by the VKVs providing quality education in the entire Arunachal Pradesh and he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to VKVs. Regarding the grant-in aid, infrastructures, construction of hostel building and staff quarters he will sit together in a meeting with the VKV officials, Commissioner and education department to initiate the action. According to him, community participation must be there in a school for the betterment of the children. By seeing the approach road condition from main road to school and hostel he promised for black topping of the road which would be completed before the monsoon.

 He also appreciated the efforts of the entire team taken for students and also appreciated the students by seeing their band display and cultural performance. He suggested the teachers to mould them for making them good citizen.

The students of our school presented traditional dance and patriotic hulla hoop dance which were highly appreciated by all the guests and public.

The meeting was ended with offering vote of thanks by Er. Tarak Sima.

VKV Gaga observed the Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti today. The students were called at 6 O'clock. The significance of the day was told by Su. Pompi Chanda. She highlighted the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The children were divided into four groups and cleaning works were done in and around the school campus.

As Swacha abhiyan was done and advised the children to follow up neatness and cleanliness everywhere.
