Independence Day Celebration - VKV Vivek Vihar
VKV Vivek Vihar celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day in the school play ground. Principal Sri. Balaji Namdeo Waghmare hoisted the flag at 7.00 a.m. All the teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students inside the campus participated in the programme by paying salute to the Indian tri-colour and singing the national anthem together with pride and love for India. Principal, VKV Vivek Vihar spoke on the significance of the day-highlighting the sacrifices made by great sons and patriots of India; due to whose sacrifice we are independent today. Also, on this auspicious occasion of 75 years of Independence, the resolution was taken by all present there that each one of them will try to associate 75 persons with Kendra, who would devote an hour per day in the service of the nation; for at least one year of joining. A small programme was organized inside the prayer hall. In the programme, • Sri. A. K. Pandey sir, quoted some patriotic slogans which gave the feeling of pride and of oneness that every ones heart beats for India and awakened the wave of patriotism that was lying dormant. • A patriotic song was presented by the teaching faculty. • And another melodious and heart touching song was presented by Kr. Harshvardhan Pandey, (student) in reminiscence of the Indian soldiers who work 24x7 defending the borders, far away from their families, bearing both extreme heat and cold, reminding us how much we owe to them. • And the programme was concluded. Tea and snacks along with toffee was provided as refreshment.
