
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, PTC Banderdewa, celebrated Guru Purnima with devotion and enthusiasm on 10th July 2025. The event honoured the revered Guru-shishya tradition and highlighted the significance of the Guru in one’s life. The program was held in the school premises and witnessed participation from students, teachers, parents, and esteemed guests.
The program commenced with the welcoming and lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Shri Tawang Rigam, a respected member of the School Supporting Group. This symbolic act marked the beginning of the auspicious event and invoked blessings for a successful celebration.
Following this, the students presented a melodious Welcome Song, which created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The school Principal, Shri Ashis Chatterjee, then delivered the Welcome Address, expressing gratitude to the attendees and reflecting on the importance of Guru Purnima in shaping values and culture among students.
To honour the guest’s presence, a felicitation ceremony was held, where Shri Tawang Rigam was presented with a token of appreciation by Principal sir.
An inspiring moment of the program was the reading of a special message by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi, which was delivered with grace and clarity by Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh. The message emphasized the role of Gurus in transforming lives and guiding individuals toward righteousness.
Adding a personal and devotional touch, Shri Jang Bahadur Sonar, rendered a soulful Guru Bhajan that captivated the audience and deepened the spiritual ambiance of the gathering.
The highlight of the event was the speech by the Chief Guest, Shri Tawang Rigam, who spoke eloquently on the relevance of Guru Purnima in today’s context and encouraged students to uphold the values imparted by their teachers and parents.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Shri Ranjan Dutta, acknowledging the contributions of all those who made the celebration a success. Finally, the gathering joined in the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, invoking peace and harmony for all.
The event was anchored by Shri Sidhartha Dutta, whose effective and smooth conduct of the program ensured a meaningful and well-organized celebration.

The International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at the Police Training Centre (PTC), Banderdewa on 21st June 2025. The Hon’ble Home Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Sri Mama Natung, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event also witnessed the esteemed presence of Sri Mutchu Mithi, Advisor to the Home Minister Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Anand Mohan, Director General of Police (DGP), Arunachal Pradesh Police, along with several IGs, DIGs, SPs from all districts, Commandents and the Principal of PTC.
The celebration was organized across four venues within the PTC campus to accommodate all participants effectively. Students and staff of VKV PTC Banderdewa were actively involved and divided accordingly among these venues.
At the main venue, where all the VVIPs assembled, Sri Govind Vishwakarma gave instructions for the yoga session, while Sri B. Vijay Kumar Reddy conducted the demonstration. In three other venues, Sri Ranjan Dutta, Sri Siddharth Dutta, and Sri Rajesh Kumar Singh led the sessions along with the participation of trainees, PTC staff, and students of VKV.
A special highlight of the event was the warm traditional welcome extended to the VVIPs by the girls of VKV PTC, who were dressed in traditional attire, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.
In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of VKV PTC Banderdewa for their wholehearted involvement and contribution in making the event a grand success.

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness about environmental protection and sustainability. It is a day to reflect on our responsibilities toward the Earth and to encourage collective action to preserve our natural surroundings.
Theme for 2025:
This year’s theme, “Putting an End to Plastic Pollution", Plastic pollution is the accumulation of plastic waste in the environment, harming wildlife, marine life, and human health. Solutions:
• Reduce the use of single-use plastics
• Reuse items instead of throwing them away
• Recycle properly
Ending plastic pollution is essential for protecting our planet. It requires collective effort from individuals, communities, industries, and governments
Activities Conducted:
At Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, PTC, Banderdewa, several activities were organized to mark the occasion. The day began with a tree plantation drive where Principal of PTC
Mr. Abhimanyu Poswal IPS , Vice Principal of PTC Mr. Matin Ratan Dy SP , students and staff planted saplings in and around the campus. This was followed by a special assembly that included speeches, essay and drawing competition. where students creatively expressed their ideas on saving the environment.
Outcome and Participation:
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers. It helped instill a sense of environmental responsibility among participants and sparked meaningful conversations on climate action and green habits.

VKV PTC Banderdewa organized Matri Puja on 1st February 2025 which began at 9.00 AM with the arrival of parents. The program commenced with the traditional washing of mothers' feet by their sons and daughters.
The Principal of VKV PTC Banderdewa, Sri Ashis Chatterjee, delivered the welcome address, narrating mothers' pivotal role in the upbringing of a child. Sri Govind Vishwakarma, teacher highlighted the significance of the day by emphasizing the importance and sacrifices of mothers in our lives focussing mother’s determination for her child’s education, he illustrated the greatness of motherhood.
The Matri Puja ceremony was conducted by Sri Ranjan Dutta.

• Smt. Jaya Diyum Dev mother of Km. Akshata Dev appreciated the initiative, calling it a wonderful program that instills values alongside modern education.
• Smt. Nabam Poornima Techi mother of Kr. Techi Pelo expressed her gratitude for organizing such events to help children understand the greatness of mothers and the essence of motherhood.
• Smt. Kowa Lamgu mother of Kr. Leeso Shra Lamgu shared her emotional experience, mentioning she can face everything in her life but when it comes to her son she is always worried about his future. It was the first time her son washed her feet and its feeling was inexpressible.
• Smt. Senphe Wangcha Mita mother of Kr. Tacho Mite acknowledged how the program focussed on the holistic development of children. She described the moment as very wonderful and encouraged students to dream big and work hard.
The program ended at 11:00 AM with a vote of thanks by Sri Rajib Saikia, followed by Shanti Mantra. A total of 31 mothers participated in the event, making it a memorable and meaningful occasion for all. Sri Siddhartha Dutta teacher anchored the programme.

The Republic Day celebration was marked with great enthusiasm. Ashis Chatterjee, Principal VKV PTC proudly unfurled the national flag at the school ceremony. Meanwhile, at IG Park in Itanagar, the band team participated in the event, adding a musical spirit to the occasion. The highlight of the celebration was receiving a trophy from Lt. Gen. Sri KT Parnaik (Retd.), the Hon'ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, acknowledging excellence and contribution during the event.

On the auspicious day of 21st January, Tuesday, 2025 VKV PTC Banderdewa along with the students- staff, with 400 parents and well-wisher had organized Swami Vivekananda Jayanti in the school Campus the program was started on 3:00 pm and finished at 5:30 pm.
The program was started by lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Dr. Gyamnia Baki Garam, M.VSc, Senior Vety.Consultant and Compiler of Tagin Dictionary by chanting ‘Om Sahanabhabatu’ by the students.
Th next program was followed by beautiful Vivek Vani by Km. Ayushi Mahanta of Class-IX. She told the essence of Swami Vivekananda, it was “Arise, Awake and stop not till the goal is reached.”
The students of class-V sang a beautiful song on the title “Hey Vivekananda’’, thereafter introduction and felicitation of the chief guest Dr. Gyamnia Baki Garam was done by Sri Rajib Saikia, Teacher of our school.
The program was followed by Vivek Vani by the students of Class-V on the title “ Mey Bhabisu ko Nahin Dekhta Na Use Janeki chinta karata hun.’’
Thereafter the welcome speech was given by Sri. Rajib Saikia, Teacher of our Vidyalaya.
The significance of the day was delivered by Sri. Rajesh Kumar Singh, Teacher of our Vidyalaya, he shed the light on the significance of this day by saying “Example are the best sermons that we can give.’’
The program was followed by singing Patriotic Song by Class VI Girls on the title “ Hoo Jaou Tayir Sathiyo.’’
The chief guest Dr. Gyamnia Baki Garam gave a attractive speech saying that one should respect our ancestor, preserve our culture and tradition and take forward and hold the roots. As he gave the example of the near by state losing its culture. He emphasis the other people residing in Arunachal Pradesh specially in the Papumpare District to learn little local Nyishi dialects.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya PTC Bandardewa celebrated “National Youth Day “at Government Middle School, 5/1, Banderdewa on 7th January 2025, from 10:20 AM to 11:20 AM. A total of 50 participants including 33 children, 8 staff members, and 9 organizing team members attended the celebration.
The program began with 3 Mangalacharan along with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Shri Lingdam Lonya, in charge of the Government Middle School. Shri Vijay Kumar Reddy was introduced to the participants by Sri Ashis Chatterjee, Principal VKV PTC Banderdewa. Then the Principal felicitated the school in-charge Shri Lingdam Lonya. After that VKV PTC Banderdewa students sang a beautiful patriotic song. Then the Principal of VKV PTC Banderdewa made the children aware of the significance of National Youth Day. Also, the school in-charge put some views regarding Swami Vivekananda. He appealed to all to love this country and become like Swami Vivekananda. The vote of thanks was given by Shri Vijay Kumar Reddy. Then the program concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Mantra. Refreshment was sponsored by Shri Kipa Chainan for the entire program.
