Theme: “Local for Vocal”

Introduction:
A Science Exhibition was successfully conducted in our school on 27th October 2025, under the theme “Local for Vocal.” The event aimed to promote innovation and scientific thinking among students while emphasizing the importance of utilizing local resources and indigenous knowledge to create sustainable solutions for the community.
Inauguration and Guests:
The programme commenced with a traditional invocation followed by the lighting of the lamp. . Our Principal Shri Shanmukhan. P Sir welcomed chief guest.  The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Vivek Kameshwaram, who appreciated the school’s initiative in fostering scientific curiosity among students.   The event was also graced by respected teachers, parents, and students from various classes. 
Participation and Exhibits:
Students from Classes VI, VII, VIII, and IX actively participated in the exhibition. A total of 32 models were displayed. Each group presented and explained their model to the judges and visitors with confidence and enthusiasm.  At last inspiring feedback was given by the chief guest. The programme was concluded with Kendra prayer.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, organized the Prachodaya Workshop on 13th September 2025 for 13 students who were selected after the Vivek Vani round. The presence of Shri Kameshwaram and Shri graced the workshop. Shri Nakul Sir, whose guidance inspired the young minds.
The program began with Three Omkar and Shanti Mantra, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by the Principal and an energizing Geet, ‘Hum Yuva Hai Hum Kare Muskilo Ka Samana’. The sessions included Suryanamaskar – Abhyas by Sri. Bikram Chetri,two interactive Khel (games)by Sri. Niraj Dubey, twoManthan (group discussions), the 1st session taken by Sri. Kamashwaram Sir and the 2nd session by Sri. Padmanavan VP, and Margadarshanby Sri. Nakul Sir, our school well-wisher, as well as Arun Jyoti Karyakarta. Students actively participated in discussions and presentations, reflecting deep thinking and teamwork.
The workshop was designed keeping in mind the following objectives:
•    To Enhance concentration and memory.
•    To Inculcate clarity of life goals and leadership qualities.
•    To Build inter-community and organisational connections.
The workshop successfully created a vibrant learning environment, nurturing self-reflection, leadership, and devotion to the nation. It also reinforced the guiding message of Swamiji’s “Prachodaya – Be the Light”, motivating students to become torchbearers of values and service.

In VKV Namsai, this year Sanskrit week was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The main aim of organising this event was to create awareness among students about the importance of the Sanskrit language.
Sanskrit week: 06/08/2025 to 12/08/2025, during this week, various programmes were organised like Sanskrit speech, play, songs, Sanskrit quiz, debate, recitation, etc.
Closing ceremony of Sanskrit Week:
The concluding ceremony was organised on 18/08/2025. In this programme, the Principal, VKV Namsai, highlighted the importance of the Sanskrit Language in detail.
Various attractive presentations were given, such as Sanskrit songs, slokas, recitation, drama and quiz competitions. Students of different classes participated with great enthusiasm. 
Anchoring of the programme was done in Sanskrit. The vote of thanks was also presented in Sanskrit.
Thus, the programme ended successfully with the active participation of teachers and students, making the Sanskrit week a memorable and fruitful celebration. 

Independence Day was observed in our school with solemnity and pride on August 15, 2025. The programme began with the flag hoisting ceremony followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The Principal addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the day and reminding students of their duties towards the nation.
After the school-level observance, the students were taken to the main ground, where they participated in the band programme and band display, adding colour and rhythm to the celebration. The students were also awarded prizes by Hon’ble MLA, Chow Zingnu Namchoom Sir, for winning the 1st Prize in Senior Quiz Competition, 2nd Prize in Junior Quiz Competition, and 1st and 3rd in Drawing Competition. It was an Inter-School Quiz and drawing competition conducted by the District library.
The event instilled a spirit of patriotism and responsibility among the students and concluded in an orderly and disciplined manner.

To mark the celebration of International Yoga Day 2025, an outreach program was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, at Greenview School, Namsai on 21st June 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga, in alignment with this year's theme of promoting wellness and mindfulness through ancient Indian traditions.
The program began with a welcome speech by the Principal of Greenview School, who extended a warm greeting to the team from VKV Namsai and the gathered students and staff. The Principal highlighted the significance of yoga in modern education and praised the collaboration between the two schools.
Sri Niraj Dubey, a teacher from VKV Namsai, delivered an informative and inspiring talk on the importance and history of International Yoga Day, explaining how yoga contributes to a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
This was followed by an engaging demonstration of yoga asanas performed by the students of VKV Namsai. The session included basic stretching, breathing exercises (pranayama), and a sequence of postures (asanas) such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, and Shavasana. The demonstration was not only visually impactful but also instructional, as the students and staff of Greenview School actively followed along and participated under the guidance of the VKV team.
The enthusiastic involvement of the participants made the session highly interactive and beneficial. It created an atmosphere of positivity, calmness, and collective learning.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and closing remarks by the Principal of Greenview School, who appreciated the VKV Namsai team for their efforts and encouraged all attendees to continue practicing yoga regularly for a healthier lifestyle.

World Environment Day was celebrated in the school on 5th June, 2025, with great enthusiasm and participation from students, teachers, and special guests. The theme for this year was “Our Land, our future,” focusing on environmental protection and sustainable living.
Shri. SH Karpoor Babla, Assistant Commandant of the 186 Battalion Namsai, was the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by his troops, who also actively participated in the celebration. In his address, the Assistant Commandant emphasized the urgent need to protect natural resources and encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits. He also spoke about offering career counselling to those interested in joining the armed forces.
The programme began with a special morning assembly featuring a speech relevant to the day's significance, a group song. Following this, a tree plantation drive was conducted, during which the Assistant Commandant and his troops, along with school staff and students, planted saplings across the campus, symbolizing collective responsibility towards nature.
In addition, drawing competitions were organized for classes III to IX on the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
The presence and involvement of the 186th Battalion made the celebration especially meaningful and inspiring for the school community.

Our school children were very much amazed and enjoyed experiencing the Bharatanatyam demonstration organized by Spic Macay , Arunachal Pradesh chapter. The Bharatanatyam was demonstrated by Dr.Debaldev Jana in our newly constructed auditorium. He used aditalam in Bharatanatyam and mesmerized the students and teachers with his mudras,abhinaya, lasya ,talasuddhi etc.He taught some of the steps of the dance to children and the meaning of various mudras. Our teachers also showed interest in learning the dance. The parents were also happy to be a part of this programme and were busy taking photos with the dancers. The programme was very meaningful and helped the children to get some ideas about Indian culture through dance form.
    The welcome speech was delivered by Sri. RM Pillai, Principal, VKV Namsai and felicitation was also arranged for all the guests. The programme ended at 11.30 am. The entire programme was executed as per our norms. The number of children who attended in the programme was 214 and 09 staff members.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti based on the Tithi was celebrated in the Juna-1 village of Lathao with the help of the villagers, teaching staff, and students of the Middle school, Luna-1.The programme was inaugurated by Village head Chow Sriwanta Phalang by lighting the lamp. In his speech, he mentioned the great works of swami Vivekananda for bringing back the glory of our nation. He focused on the similarities between Lord Buddha and Swami Vivekananda in their principles. The students of VKV Namsai presented Khamti traditional dance, patriotic songs,s and speeches on the life and messages of Swami Vivekananda. The welcome speech was delivered by Padmanabhan VP on behalf of the villagers. Chow Yana Chiring extended a vote of thanks and appreciated the work of Vivekananda Kendra and the ideas- man making and nation-building.
