Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, conducted a plantation drive on 1st January 2026, marking the auspicious occasion of Kalpataru Diwas along with the celebration of the New Year. The programme began early at 6:30 a.m., symbolizing a fresh beginning and reaffirming a strong commitment towards nature and environmental conservation.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Sri Shanmukhan P., Principal, VKV Namsai, who emphasized the true spirit of selfless service and harmony with nature as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda. His words inspired all present to actively contribute towards environmental protection.

The staff members of VKV Namsai participated in the plantation drive with great enthusiasm and dedication. A variety of saplings, including Arjun, Ashok, Ehilca Bohle, Gulmohar, and several small flowering plants, were planted within the school campus. These efforts contributed not only to environmental balance but also enhanced the aesthetic beauty of the campus.

The serene early-morning atmosphere added a sense of purpose and positivity to the event, reinforcing values such as responsibility, cooperation, and respect for nature. The plantation drive served as a meaningful reminder that small, collective efforts can lead to a green, healthy, and sustainable future.

National Mathematics Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, on 22 December 2025. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of mathematics and to pay tribute to the great mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan.

The programme began with a welcome speech by Sri Shanmukhan. P, Principal, VKV Namsai, who motivated students to develop logical thinking and an interest in mathematics. This was followed by Vivekvani, presented by Kr Sufa Seng Manchey, which inspired students with valuable thoughts and ideals.

A skit was performed by Km Emerald and the party, conveying mathematical concepts interestingly and entertainingly. After that, Kr Kovingta displayed various mathematical shapes, helping students virtually understand geometry.

The programme also included a declamation by Kr Hernan and Kr Pratyush on great mathematicians Srinivasa Ramanujan and Brahmagupta, highlighting their valuable contributions to the field of mathematics. A graceful dance performance by Km Ganuspriya added colour and joy to the celebration.

The celebration concluded with appreciation for the participants and a message on the relevance of mathematics in daily life.

The Mathematics Day celebration was informative, inspiring, and enjoyable for all.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, celebrated Indigenous Faith Day on December 1, 2025. Chow Mogambo Hopak graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was organized to foster cultural awareness and spiritual enrichment among the student body.

The event concluded with the distribution of sweets and a communal group dance involving all students and teachers, which served to reinforce a spirit of unity and collective participation.
The celebration was well-received and contributed positively to the students' appreciation of cultural heritage and spiritual values.

On 1st December 2025, the programme began with the lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Sri Chow Mogambo Hopak, Nagar Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti, Namsai, followed by mangalacharan. Sri Shanmukhan P, the Principal of VKV Namsai, delivered a welcome speech, addressed the students, staff and sankul members. The cultural programme started with the presentation of “Surasa Subodha”, a Sanskrit deshbhakti geet. 
Gita chanting (4th chapter) was presented with clarity and devotion. 
As a part of the outreach programme, the Bhagavad Gita 4th chapter was chanted in front of the audience at Poi Pee Mau ground, where the Indigenous Faith Day programme was celebrated. This was followed by the interpretation of slokas and the importance of the Gita in daily life by Sri Bikram Chetry, the teacher of VKV Namsai. 

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, organised an awareness programme on 28/10/25 in our auditorium on the Topic- Tobacco-free Education institution. The programme was attended by Sri. Sange Tinley, Superintendent of Police, Namsai, as a guest lecturer. Students from classes V to IX attended this interactive session.
 The Programme was started with the lighting of a lamp by the respected and esteemed guest, Sri.Sange Tinley followed by Mangalacharan.Sri.Shanmukhan P, Principal VKV, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the guest to the children in a befitting manner. There was a patriotic song and Vivek Vani by students of Class VIII and IX. In this session, the impact of using tobacco on health and hygiene was shared by the guest. He focused on how the consumption of tobacco makes the young mind make it a habit. Many students asked questions about their burning life issues and got answers in a meaningful way. Other than tobacco, he also focused on the bad habits of Junk food, drugs etc.
The programme was very useful for the students to lead a meaningful life to become a part of the man-making and nation-building mission.

Introduction:
A Science Exhibition was successfully conducted in our school on 27th October 2025, under the theme “Local for Vocal.” The event aimed to promote innovation and scientific thinking among students while emphasizing the importance of utilizing local resources and indigenous knowledge to create sustainable solutions for the community.
Inauguration and Guests:
The programme commenced with a traditional invocation followed by the lighting of the lamp. . Our Principal Shri Shanmukhan. P Sir welcomed chief guest.  The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Vivek Kameshwaram, who appreciated the school’s initiative in fostering scientific curiosity among students.   The event was also graced by respected teachers, parents, and students from various classes. 
Participation and Exhibits:
Students from Classes VI, VII, VIII, and IX actively participated in the exhibition. A total of 32 models were displayed. Each group presented and explained their model to the judges and visitors with confidence and enthusiasm.  At last inspiring feedback was given by the chief guest. The programme was concluded with Kendra prayer.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Namsai, organized the Prachodaya Workshop on 13th September 2025 for 13 students who were selected after the Vivek Vani round. The presence of Shri Kameshwaram and Shri graced the workshop. Shri Nakul Sir, whose guidance inspired the young minds.
The program began with Three Omkar and Shanti Mantra, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by the Principal and an energizing Geet, ‘Hum Yuva Hai Hum Kare Muskilo Ka Samana’. The sessions included Suryanamaskar – Abhyas by Sri. Bikram Chetri,two interactive Khel (games)by Sri. Niraj Dubey, twoManthan (group discussions), the 1st session taken by Sri. Kamashwaram Sir and the 2nd session by Sri. Padmanavan VP, and Margadarshanby Sri. Nakul Sir, our school well-wisher, as well as Arun Jyoti Karyakarta. Students actively participated in discussions and presentations, reflecting deep thinking and teamwork.
The workshop was designed keeping in mind the following objectives:
•    To Enhance concentration and memory.
•    To Inculcate clarity of life goals and leadership qualities.
•    To Build inter-community and organisational connections.
The workshop successfully created a vibrant learning environment, nurturing self-reflection, leadership, and devotion to the nation. It also reinforced the guiding message of Swamiji’s “Prachodaya – Be the Light”, motivating students to become torchbearers of values and service.

In VKV Namsai, this year Sanskrit week was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The main aim of organising this event was to create awareness among students about the importance of the Sanskrit language.
Sanskrit week: 06/08/2025 to 12/08/2025, during this week, various programmes were organised like Sanskrit speech, play, songs, Sanskrit quiz, debate, recitation, etc.
Closing ceremony of Sanskrit Week:
The concluding ceremony was organised on 18/08/2025. In this programme, the Principal, VKV Namsai, highlighted the importance of the Sanskrit Language in detail.
Various attractive presentations were given, such as Sanskrit songs, slokas, recitation, drama and quiz competitions. Students of different classes participated with great enthusiasm. 
Anchoring of the programme was done in Sanskrit. The vote of thanks was also presented in Sanskrit.
Thus, the programme ended successfully with the active participation of teachers and students, making the Sanskrit week a memorable and fruitful celebration.
