On 29th August 2025, our school observed National Sports Day with great enthusiasm. To begin the programme, a student of Class X delivered an insightful speech highlighting the significance of National Sports Day and the remarkable contributions of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey player of India. To mark the occasion, inter-house Kho-Kho matches were organized during the last three periods. Students from Classes VI to X participated actively, showcasing their sportsmanship and team spirit. The matches were witnessed by all students and teachers, who cheered and encouraged the players, making the event lively and memorable.

On 9th August 2025, VKV Tezu celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm, embracing the festival's essence of love, protection, and unity. The event brought together students, staff, well-wishers, and members of the Amrit Pariwar Sankul for a day filled with traditional rituals and heartfelt camaraderie.  

Traditional Rituals and Sacred Observances:
The celebrations commenced with the preparation of a sacred Raksha Bandhan thali, adorned with Roli-Chawal, Diya, sweets, Kumkum, and vibrant Rakhis. In a deeply symbolic gesture, the Principal led the ceremony by tying Rakhis to Om, Bharat Mata, and Swamiji, seeking divine blessings and protection. The reverence extended to nature as well, with Rakhis tied around trees, reinforcing the bond between humanity and the environment.  

Strengthening Bonds Within the VKV Family: 
Students and staff exchanged Rakhis while chanting the sacred Raksha Mantra, fostering an atmosphere of harmony, devotion, and mutual respect. The joyous occasion highlighted the values of unity and collective well-being, strengthening the bonds within the school community.  

Honoring Our Brave ITBP Jawans:
In a special outreach initiative, a team of students and teachers visited the ITBP Camp in Lohitpur, Tezu, to honor the brave Jawans and officers by tying Rakhis. This heartfelt gesture symbolized the nation's gratitude for their sacrifice and unwavering service.  

Community Engagement and Gratitude:
The celebration also saw the participation of 20 well-wishers and Amrit Pariwar Sankul members, who expressed their appreciation for being part of the festivities. Their involvement added to the warmth and inclusivity of the event.  

Conclusion:
The Raksha Bandhan celebrations at VKV Tezu beautifully captured the true spirit of the festival—strengthening relationships, honoring protectors, and fostering a sense of unity within the larger community. The event left everyone with cherished memories and a renewed commitment to mutual care and respect.  

The sacred occasion of Guru Purnima was celebrated with devotion and reverence at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezu, in the presence of students, teachers, and esteemed guests.

The program began with 3 Omkars and Shanti Path (Sahanavavatu) beautifully chanted by the students of Class 9, setting a spiritual tone for the day.

This was followed by a welcome address and a brief introduction of the guest priest by our Principal Sir, who also highlighted the significance of the day and the role of Gurus in shaping lives.

Sri Mahesh Kumar Pandey, Sanskrit Teacher, then addressed the gathering on the Importance of Guru Purnima, where he involved all present in the collective chanting of “Om Vedyasaye Namaha” (11 times) and “Guruve Namaha” (5 times), enhancing the spiritual atmosphere.

Our esteemed guest priest, Sohitlum Tawsik ji from Changliang village, was felicitated by the Principal Sir. In his words of wisdom, he shared his journey of becoming a Mishmi Pujari, stating that no formal training is given, but it is through deep inner calling and connection to Dharma that one embraces the role. He also spoke on the importance of Mishmi rituals, especially Namsiang Puja, which is performed for the prosperity and well-being of the people and villages.

A soulful Guru Bhajan was then presented by Uttam Sir and Class 10 girls, followed by a Mishmi Bhajan beautifully sung by Jitemsi Didi, which brought vibrancy and cultural richness to the celebration.

The celebration concluded with a flower offering ritual to Om, the symbol of the Guru, done by the priest, Principal Sir, and Amrit Parivar Sankul members, followed by teachers and students. Class 10 girls also offered flowers at the feet of the priest and Principal Sir, seeking their blessings and showing deep respect.

The program ended with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, bringing the sacred celebration to a peaceful close.

Marking World Environment Day (June 5th, 2025) under the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”, our school held a series of engaging activities. The Principal set the tone with a morning speech addressing the critical menace of plastic pollution. Students then participated in grade-specific initiatives. Classes I-IV explored the theme through drawing, classes V-VI planted trees, classes VII-VIII transformed waste to art, and classes IX-X articulated their thoughts in an essay writing competition on “Beat Plastic Pollution”.

On 02/02/2025, Sunday, Matri Puja was conducted in our school for the outgoing Class-X students to honor the bond between a mother and her child and to instill in our students the importance of mothers in our lives and culture, where mothers hold a revered position.
On this occasion, Dr. Sajinglu Chai Pul, the first Mishmi Lady Doctor, was invited as the Chief Guest. A total number of 26 parents(22 Mothers and 4 Fathers) were present on the occasion. Students were guided on Matri Puja rituals by Sri Mahesh Kumar Pandey, Sanskrit Teacher of our school.
In her speech, Chief Guest Dr. Sajinglu Chai Pul called upon the Class-X outgoing students to respect their parents and utilize time well before their Board examination. The Puja started at about 10:30 am and ended at about noon with Shanti Mantra

On 03/02/2025, our school celebrated Saraswati Puja with great enthusiasm and devotion. The puja rituals were conducted by Sri Amit Kr Bhatt, our Hindi teacher, who led the students and staff in offering prayers and seeking blessings from Goddess Saraswati. A hawan was performed for the welfare and success of our students and the school. The members of Amrit Parivar Sankul were also present on this auspicious occasion. After the puja, all the students were served Prasad as a symbol of blessings from the deity. As a part of the tradition, khichdi was also served to everyone, bringing a sense of unity and harmony among the students and staff. The entire event was a beautiful display of devotion, unity, and cultural values, leaving a positive impact on everyone present.

On 29th January 2025, VKV Tezu felt blessed to have been a part of Vivekananda Yatra. Our school, VKV Tafrogam, Nimkay Vidya Niketan, Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti workers, VKV Alumni, well-wishers, and other Government officials received the statue of Swami Vivekananda at the point of the road in front of the DMO Office with the band troop of VKV Tafrogam. Then the statue was brought to VKV Tezu in a grand procession of more than 500 people. A cultural programme was then conducted in which our school students, students from VKV Tafrogam, and students from Nimkay Vidya Niketan performed dance and song. The importance of Vivekananda Yatra was told by Sri Batimso Mam, who came along with the statue-carrying vehicle. The Principal of the school, in his speech, expressed his feeling of holy gratification to have received Swamiji’s statue in our school. He said that Swamiji’s statue standing at the first village of our nation-Kaho will be inspiring and motivate us to “Arise awake and stop not till our goal is reached”. On this occasion, Sri Kruleso Ngadong, Vibhag Pramukh, Lohit Vibhag, and Sri N. Songthing, Vivhag Pramukh were present among other parents, well-wishers, VKV Alumni, Sankul members and some Government officials. 

on 26th January 2025, our school proudly celebrated the 76th Republic Day. The day began with a Prabhat Pherry, where students from various schools in Jubilee Ground Tezu gathered at 6 am to kick start the festivities. Our students then gathered at our school at 7:30 am for the National Flag unfurling ceremony. As the flag was unfurled, our national anthem echoed in the air. Our principal delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of this day and encouraging all students to be responsible citizens who can contribute to the progress of our country. He also reminded us of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and our duty to remember and honor them. Later in the day, our school's two March past teams proudly represented us in the Republic Day celebration organized by the District Administration at Jubilee Ground Tezu. It was a day filled with pride, patriotism, and a reminder of our duties towards our nation.
