National Mathematics Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at VKV Tezu on 22nd December 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. The event was organized under the aegis of the DDSE, Lohit, aiming to foster mathematical aptitude and curiosity among the student community. The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Sri Champak Kakati, Principal VKV Tezu. He highlighted the significance of the day and encouraged students to view mathematics not just as a subject, but as a language of the universe. The event was graced by Sri P.C. Tiwari, who served as the Resource Person for the day. In his address, Sri P. C Tiwari shared insightful perspectives on Ramanujan’s life and his ground-breaking contributions to number theory and infinite series, inspiring the audience with stories of the mathematician’s resilience and genius. A major highlight of the celebration was the Inter-School Mathematics Quiz Competition, which saw spirited participation from three prominent schools in the region:  VKV Tezu (Host School), VKV Tafrogam and GHSS-I, Tezu. 
The quiz consisted of multiple rounds covering mental arithmetic, logical reasoning, and the history of Indian mathematics. The participants showcased impressive analytical skills, making the competition a closely contested and intellectually stimulating affair. 
GHSS-I secured 1st position in Lohit District, VKV Tezu secured 2nd position, whereas VKV Tafrogam was third in Lohit District.
The celebration successfully ignited a passion for numbers among the attendees. By providing a platform for healthy competition and expert guidance, the DDSE Lohit and VKV Tezu reaffirmed the importance of mathematical literacy in modern education. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of certificates to the participating teams.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Tezu observed Samarth Bharat Parva on 25 December 2025 to commemorate Swami Vivekananda’s historic three-day meditation (25–27 December 1892) on the mid-sea rock at Kanyakumari.

The programme commenced with an inaugural prayer, followed by the patriotic song “Vande Mataram” and a devotional bhajan, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. A beautifully drawn map of India was prepared on the ground and adorned with illuminated diyas, symbolizing the light of knowledge and the unity and integrity of the nation.

The event continued with Bharat Mata Pujan, during which students and teachers offered Pushpa Archana to the portrait of Bharat Mata. The observance concluded with a solemn and inspiring Bharat Mata Aarti.

The celebration highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s vision of a Samarth Bharat (Strong India) and inspired students to contribute actively towards building a strong, prosperous nation rooted in its rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Tezu celebrated Gita Jayanti on December 2, 2025, with Amrit Parivar Sankul Pramukh and Sadhasiyas, as the school participated in the Indigenous Faith Day program on December 1. The program began with the lighting of the lamp and an invocation prayer, followed by the principal's welcome address. The Chief Guest, Smt. Sita Oli, President, Gayatri Parivar Mahila Mandal, Tezu, was felicitated. A soulful Krishna Bhajan, an insightful talk on the significance of Gita Jayanti by Sri Mahesh Kumar Pandey, and the chanting of Gita shlokas enriched the event. In her address, the Chief Guest emphasised limiting mobile use in front of children and encouraged regular chanting of Gita shlokas. A vibrant group dance by Class 1 students added charm to the program. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the Shanti Mantra, followed by light refreshments. 
A Quiz competition on the Shrimad Bhagawat Gita was also conducted house-wise to promote the spiritual, ethical, and cultural values of the Bhagavad Gita among the school students.

VKV Tezu conducted School school-level Science Exhibition on 11th November 2025 for the academic session 2025-26.  The theme of this year's Science Exhibition was STEM for Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Sub Themes are as follows: Sustainable agriculture, Waste management and alternatives to plastics, Green energy, Emerging technologies, Recreational mathematical modellings, Health and hygiene, and Water conservation and management.
To inaugurate the Science Exhibition, Dr Asmi Mega, Trade Development Officer and VKV Alumnus from VKV Roing, was invited as the Chief Guest. 
A total of 126 models were exhibited, out of which there were 78 Science Models and 48 mathematics models.

The Lohit Cluster-Level Gita Chanting Competition of the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas was held on 9th November 2025 at VKV Tezu.  The event aimed to promote the values and teachings of the Bhagavad Gita among students and to encourage them to develop devotion, concentration, and a love for Sanskrit and Indian culture.

From the  Lohit cluster, VKV Amliang, VKV Tafragam, VKV Tezu, VKV Roing, and VKV Namsai participated in this competition.

On 20th October 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezu, celebrated Deepawali with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The entire school campus was beautifully illuminated with rows of glowing earthen lamps, creating a serene and joyous ambiance. Students from the nearby private hostel also joined the celebration, adding to the cheerful gathering. The evening was filled with laughter and excitement as children played with crackers and sparklers, spreading light and happiness all around. Sweets were distributed to everyone, symbolizing the sweetness and unity of the festival. It was truly heartwarming to witness the children’s joy and togetherness, making it a memorable and delightful Deepawali celebration at VKV Tezu.

On 29th August 2025, our school observed National Sports Day with great enthusiasm. To begin the programme, a student of Class X delivered an insightful speech highlighting the significance of National Sports Day and the remarkable contributions of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey player of India. To mark the occasion, inter-house Kho-Kho matches were organized during the last three periods. Students from Classes VI to X participated actively, showcasing their sportsmanship and team spirit. The matches were witnessed by all students and teachers, who cheered and encouraged the players, making the event lively and memorable.

On 9th August 2025, VKV Tezu celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm, embracing the festival's essence of love, protection, and unity. The event brought together students, staff, well-wishers, and members of the Amrit Pariwar Sankul for a day filled with traditional rituals and heartfelt camaraderie.  

Traditional Rituals and Sacred Observances:
The celebrations commenced with the preparation of a sacred Raksha Bandhan thali, adorned with Roli-Chawal, Diya, sweets, Kumkum, and vibrant Rakhis. In a deeply symbolic gesture, the Principal led the ceremony by tying Rakhis to Om, Bharat Mata, and Swamiji, seeking divine blessings and protection. The reverence extended to nature as well, with Rakhis tied around trees, reinforcing the bond between humanity and the environment.  

Strengthening Bonds Within the VKV Family: 
Students and staff exchanged Rakhis while chanting the sacred Raksha Mantra, fostering an atmosphere of harmony, devotion, and mutual respect. The joyous occasion highlighted the values of unity and collective well-being, strengthening the bonds within the school community.  

Honoring Our Brave ITBP Jawans:
In a special outreach initiative, a team of students and teachers visited the ITBP Camp in Lohitpur, Tezu, to honor the brave Jawans and officers by tying Rakhis. This heartfelt gesture symbolized the nation's gratitude for their sacrifice and unwavering service.  

Community Engagement and Gratitude:
The celebration also saw the participation of 20 well-wishers and Amrit Pariwar Sankul members, who expressed their appreciation for being part of the festivities. Their involvement added to the warmth and inclusivity of the event.  

Conclusion:
The Raksha Bandhan celebrations at VKV Tezu beautifully captured the true spirit of the festival—strengthening relationships, honoring protectors, and fostering a sense of unity within the larger community. The event left everyone with cherished memories and a renewed commitment to mutual care and respect.
