The “18th PRACHODAYA SHIBIR” 2018 for Class VIII High Achievers  camp for the gifted students of VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh was held at VKV, Itanagar  from 24^th March to 27^th March 2018. The total number of 198 selected students (127 girls & 71boys) attended the shibir.

On 24^th November at 4.30 pm the Prachodaya Shibir was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Education Minister Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh Shri. Honchun Ngandam. Programme proceeded with Mangalacharan. Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chaggan Principal VKV Itanagar formally welcomed one & all.

Shri. Unnikrishnan P.M Education Officer VKVAPT felicitated the Hon’ble Education Minister with token of love and explicitly delivered speech on significance of the Prachodaya Shibir which has clarified the concept of Prachodya.

The Varshant Samaroh was performed in the Vidyalaya 3rd March 2018 for Class I to IX and XI students an auspicious way. 613 students attended it to get inspiration and blessing of the teachers as they are going to appear in the examination. Sri Pankaj Kumar & Sri. H K Sahu performed Puja in accordance with the given guidelines. The Senior Teacher Sri. Vinod Tukaram Kothawade delivered a inspiring speech that had a great effect on the students to prepare for their examination. The programme came to an end with Santimantra & Sweet distribution.

On 16th February 2018 at VKV-ITANAGAR telecasted live TV show on Pariksha Pe Charcha at Eknathji Centenary Hall. 331 students from class VI to XI attended fruitful discussion show.

In which Prime Minister Narendra Modi held 'Charcha' with students to help them to relieve from the stress of exams. Lakhs of students and thousands of schools across the country were connected to the event to discuss exam-related issues through a video conference from Delhi's Talkatora Stadium.

Happiness Program on different Life Skills was conducted in VKV Itanagar for class VI to IX students by Sri.Suchandan Kumar from Art of Living

He taught some methods of relieving stress & how to face stress free examination.

VKV- Itanagar conducted the Matri Puja for the students and parents of class-X. At 10.00 am. Class-X students received their mothers / fathers to the prayer hall after washing the feets of their parents. It was noticed that such an holy task was done by the students for the first time in the their life and it could touch their heart. Out of 46 students a total number of 18 parents graced the occasion.

All the parents offered flowers in the front of BHARAT MATA  and then they were taken to the prayer hall after the Tilak. Sri. Pankaj Kumar started the programme with innvocation followed by the Welcome address from Dr. Kakade Rajendra C.  Principal, VKV-Itanagar. He also introduced Shri R. Krishnakumarji, Member, VKVAPT to the parents and the students.

After this, Shri R. Krishnakumarji  spoke to the participants about the significance of the Matri Puja. In his elaborate speech he explained the role of a mother for the growth of a child with some interesting facts.

VKV Itanagar held Prize Distribution Ceremony of Academic Session 2017-18 on 9th February 2018 at Eknathji Centenary Hall.

Dr. Shristidhar Dutta  trustee member of VKVAPT as Chief Guest along with Prof. Uma Datta & Dr. V N Sharma Vice Chancellor of Arunodaya University Arunachal Pradesh as guest of honours graced the occasion. Dr. Kakade Rajendra C Principal of VKV Itanagar formally welcomed & felicitated guests with token of love. During this all the high achievers prizes, group event's prizes, Best player's prizes, State & National event's prizes were given away by the distinguished guests.

The Chief Guest Dr. Shristidhar Dutta tremendously motivated and appreciated the talent of students & advised them to keep the same zest alive.

He also suggested the students to feel proud to be the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya as this is the only organization where The Value System is being taught & it is being reflected by these activities.

Measles - Rubella Vaccination campaign (MR) conducted in VKV Itanagar on 5th February 2018. Dr. Toyir Ete along with her medical expertise team of 10 nurses from PHC Dept. successfully immunised 565 students from class I to X. The main motive behind of this to eliminate Measles and control Rubella by 2020 in country.

Visit of MHRD

MHRD team from Delhi along with sate officials visited the school to ensure the smooth conduct of NAS examination for class X Students. 45 students participated in the examination.

Man. BHANUDASJI,General Secretary, VIVEKANANDA KENDRA,KANYAKUMARI visited VKV Itangar along with Sri RUPESH MATHURJI,Joint Secretary,VKV
ARUNACHAL PRADESH TRUST on 31st January 2018. During his stay in the school campus, he addressed all the residential teachers.He  conducted
a small activity for seeking suggestions "Why the parents should admit their children only in VKV" He also guided teachers how to improve the
quality of education with ideology of Swami Vivekananda.
On 1st February 2018 in morning assembly Man. Bahanudasji addressed all the students & emphasized on Sister Nivedita's great contribution
in the field of Indian Education.
