The Vivek Inspire Workshop for class VI Batch III held at VKV Itanagar is going to conclude followed by valedictory function. The workshop started on 14th August upto 18th August 2017. In this workshop 38 Students (14 Boys and 24 Girls) participated from 8 VKVs namely VKV Itanagar, Vivek Vihar, Nirjuli, Balijan, Banderdewa, Seijosa, Nivedita Vihar and Oyan.

The resource person of this workshop came from Jnana Probodhini Pune, Sonal Prabhu, Nivedita Ponkshe, Mrinmayi Adawadkar.

All the participants reported on 13th August evening along with their escort teachers and mentors at the host school VKV Itanagar.

In this 5 days workshop various sessions were being conducted in which finger painting, Diary writing, finding out things with each alphabet in a given time in groups, relay drawing, observation like Rocket balloon, pyramid of likes and dislikes, GMAT introduction, asking questions, some  sports and games along with prayers and yoga sessions.

VKV Itanagar celebrated Independence Day in a grand way. Programme started with flag hoisting by Principal at 8:00am. After this  colourful cultural programme was organized at Man. Eknathji Centenary Bhawan. There was housewise competition of patriotic song and traditional and local dances performed by students of Class VI to XII.

Principal, all the staff & 400 students from Cl- VI to XII attended the programme. Nearby parents & well-wisher attended the programme & express their happiness.

Sree Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated in VKV Itanagar. Shri Tokong Pertin, Director, Trade and Commerce witnessed the programme as Chief guest. Colourfull cultural programme were presented by primary children. Around 250 parents attended the programme and expressed their happiness.

Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal welcomed the Chief guest, parents, staff and students. Sri Pankaj Kumar spoke about importance of the day. Sri Guruvayya J expressed vote of thanks.

Parents meets of Class VI to X was held on 12th Aug’2017 in VKV, Itanagar. Almost 200 parents attended the meeting. The Principal of the school explained the new exam system of CBSE for the session 2017-18 through power point presentation. Parents were very happy to know about the new system

VKV ITA 26th June - A three day workshop on Science connect was held at State Science Centre, Indira Gandhi Park Itanagar from 23rd to 25th June 2017. Altogether 15 students from 6 schools attended the programme. The group led by Kr. Nguli Lombi of Class X, VKV Itanagar secured first position in the final day Science Quiz Stage-II competition and were nominated for Regional Level Science Quiz which will be held at Guwahati. The students from VKV Vivek Vihar, VKV Nirjuli, KV Tawang, VCS Itanagar, VPS-Daporijo also took part in the workshop.

Sri P. Lombi, Scientist-B and Nodal Officer, Dept. of Science and Technology Itanagar, Sri Narendra Singh Dhar,  Sri. Akhilesh Srivastava,  Sri. Sachin C. Narwadia of Vigyan Prasar Delhi were the resource persons for this State Level Science connect programme.

An orientation programme for Class XI Humanities and Science was conducted at VKV, Itanagar on 22nd June’2017. All the newly joined students and their parents attended the one hour long programme. The programme started with lighting of the lamp followed by mangalacharan by the students of Class XII. 51 students and 47 parents attended the programme

Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Incharge of the school explained the importance of punctuality, regular attendance, proper turn out, need of homemade tiffin etc. in his speech. He also presented a power point show of result at a glance of Class XII Humanities and Science 2016-17.

Subject teachers of Humanities and Science were introduced to the students and parents. Sri Uthaman VN welcomed the gathering and Smt. Shilpi Das Gupta conveyed the vote of thanks.

Kr. Souvik De, Class-X secured First position in Painting competition on the topic SMART CITY ITANAGAR conducted by Itananagar Municipal Council (IMC) .He received a Certificate and Cash Prize Rs.5000. 00(Five Thousand only) on 3.4.2017 in function organized by IMC at Naharlagun.

17^TH Utsarg Samaroh of 5- VKVs for Class-X students initially started on 20^th January 2017 with evening prayer at 06.30 pm in Itanagar. The participants from following schools attended the UTSARG-17.

Altogether 235 students attended the Utsarg.

Sri P.M. Unnikrishnan, Education Officer, VKVAPT addressed the students, Resource persons and Escort Teachers and briefed about the 3-days Utsarg Samaroh. He defined Utsarg as gloriously march forward. He narrated a small story of Varanasi Yatra of two persons to make students understand that situation of life will be same, but how we look at it, is very important. If we look at the positive aspects, we will be benefitted, but if we look at its negative aspects, we will be the looser. The Shibir Geet ‘Man mein hamne’  was taught by Sri R. Krishna Kumarji, Member, VKVAPT.

On 21^st Morning, The Utsarg -17 was formally inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest Sri HAGE KOJIN, I.A.S., COMMISSIONER of Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh. Mananeeya BHANUDASJI, General Secretary ,Vivekananda Kendra  Kanyakumari also graced the Inaugural function. The programme started with Mangalacharan. The Principal Sri Jaisankar, VKV, Itanagar welcomed everybody cordially. Smt. Pratibha Kulkarni, HRD,VKVAPT and Sri Sanjay Karkare, In-Charge of  Vivek Kiran  Project were also present in the occasion.
