Vivekananda Kendra, Arunachal Prant, VKVs Itanagar and Vivek Vihar have celebrated the National Youth Day in commemoration with the birthday of Swami Vivekananda at VKV, Itanagar in a befitting way. The celebration was marked with the District Level Traditional Dance and Drama Competition. Sri. Techi Tolu, ZPM, Borum has graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his key note address, Sri. T. Tolu has expressed that Swami Vivekananda not only inspired the youth of India but the whole world. He has also mentioned that the youth are to be trained well as because the resources of Arunachal are plenty which are to be managed well.

Sri Taba Tatup, Prant Karyalaya Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra, Arunachal Prant briefed the importance of preserving our age old cultural practices in the midst of globalization and advent of western influence on our traditional beliefs, faith and culture.

National Service Scheme Unit of VKV Itanagar conducted one day personality Development course for it’s Volunteers today. Dr. Jyadeva Sahoo, Head of the Department, Education, Rajiv Gandhi University was the Chief Resource Person. He highlighted the importance of healthy, happy, peaceful and successful life. He advised the students to develop inner strength through meditation, concentration and self control. Various musical rhythm for mental peace was played and tips were given to students for preparation for CBSE Class XII Board Examination. Sri K Jaisankar, Principal of the Vidyalaya, Sri KK Subramanian, Senior teacher, Sri Uthaman VN, NSS Programme Officer also spoke on the occasion. About 200 students and 10 teachers also attended the programme.

Km.KAVIYA JAYAN,CLASS-X  bagged the 2nd Position in the State Level Science Exhibition 2016 on the topic-‘ Science, Technology and Mathematics for Nation Building’ held at Govt.Hr.Sec.School,Itanagar on 25th November 2016.Altogether 26 students from various districts of Arunachal Pradesh participated in the Exhibition.

Directorate of Secondary Education of the State Awarded her a Cash Prize and a Certificate of Merit

The students of VKV, Itanagar conducted a Science Exhibition today on 24th November 2016. Students of Class-III  to XI  presented 123 innovative and creative models. Sri Vivek Kumar, Curator ,State Science Centre, Itanagar and Prof. Smt. Anuradha Panigrahi, Dept. of Physics, D.N.College were  the Judges in this Exhibition.

Kr.Moji Bogo, Km.Tagru Amji, Kr Damter Romin, Kr. Priyam Sen, Kr.Kej Tajit, Kr. Taba Teni, Kr. Alapan Chakraborty and Mithu Talom won the prizes for best models.

Sri Pravin Dabholkar, All India Joint General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari and Sri Rupesh Mathur, Jt. Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust were also present in the concluding function organized in the Exhibition. They all encouraged and advised the students to continue their inquisitiveness and keep on igniting their minds.

Sri Bamang Felix, Parliamentary Secretary, Education and IPR inaugurated the High Achievers’ Camp known as Prachodaya at VKV Chimpu, Itanagar. 243 students from various VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh who have secured CGPA=9 in Class VIII final examination-2016 were selected for the camp.

Inaugurating the camp, Sri Bamang Felix narrated his childhood experiences to reach a Lakhimpur School from Kurung Kumey. He said that inner strength is more important than outer facilities. He also advised students to respect ‘teachers as representatives of God and parents in the School’.

Sri Felix also awarded the toppers in VKVs North-East region in the AISSCE (Class-XII) 2015-16 – Kumari Siddhi Shrivastava of VKV Nirjuli, in Science stream received Dr. Akan Duwara Award, and Sri Ashish Sonar in Commerce, Kumari Likmung Ngemu in Arts stream received Mananeeya Eknathji Memorial Award.

Congratulating the winners the Chief Guest advised them to keep up the spirit to bloom fully to achieve perfection in life.

VKV, Itanagar had celebrated International Peace Day with Heartfullness Organization of Sri Ramachandra Mission, Chennai today.
Sri. Kina Temik, Executive Engineer, WRD, Itanagar and Su. Minakshi Sharma, Freelance Finance Consultant, New Delhi graced the occasion.
